I love that in this set you can't get spooked by a bad gold card, happened to me too many times, if you see gold you're getting gold no matter what lol
I said this before, but i do think this is the greatest set ever released. An amazing amount of chase cards, balanced pull rates, lovely new arts among reprints.
just a friendly heads up, the only gold cards in this set are the gods/legends, so if you see a gold border rest assured you don't have to worry about a gold item card ;p

wow, Jake you hit the motherload ! 😂. i ordered 3 boxes myself through japanese resellers through local ecommerce platform in Singapore. just cracked open 1 box last night and got the same lucario, hope im as lucky to get a gold card
I got mine from Amazon JP last week! Pulled the amazing Palkia gold card. Looking forward to buying another box when prices drop.
The title should really be "Should you NOT pick up VStar Universe?" One thing to keep in mind is that this set is likely to be heavily printed. The hype is really high right now both inside and outside of Japan, and it would be wise to wait for the prices to drop. $80 is a price point we'll likely see in a few months and even lower at $60 depending on quantity available. Paying $100+ for booster box is not wise at this point even though this set is amazing.
Got Vmax at $80 last year, and missed the $65 pick up because I thought it might go a little lower. Now I gotta buy the box above $85 for my sealed
This set is never going to be $60. It might go down to $80 on Plazajapan, but Amazon won't be able to match the demand. Look at Incandescent Arcana, which isn't even a high-class set and is still pretty expensive months after release.
Have to agree with you here. I think Pokemon will print this set heavily. Once the English version comes out, prices will drop everywhere.

@@marcuswest7270 vmax climax was as low as $50 on toys one japan at one point, I didn't buy bc I had already gone all in on evolving skies when it was low.

I paid equivalent of about 90 USD for boxes more than wished but I wanted it in hand quickly rather than waiting for more supply. Was a bit surprised when I saw the singles are already pretty affordable though so I felt like maybe I should have saved the money for when the box prices drop.
But had a lot of fun opening and thought 1st box was a bit of a bust best was Drapion SAR but 2nd box had Suicune V SAR & Arceus Vstar gold, 3rd box almost as good Simisear VStar SAR & Origin Forme Palkia gold. So worth it for me, wont be doing a master set but will certainly try to get an AR and SAR set. So beautiful.
Do you think that loose booster packs from the s&s series will be worth $100+ dollars in the future?

Was unlucky and lucky at the same time with this set. 2 booster boxes like , 2 gold cards (Arceus and Palkia) but Palkia was damaged right away in the pack. At least the Arceus is flawless like yours. This set is the bomb!
Although the Arceus Gold card looks amazing, my personal favourite has to be the Sinnoh/Hisu FA trainer cards + the Cynthia FA card

Don't know if everyone is aware of this issue, but buy at your own risk, because this set is weighable, and apparently lighter booster boxes have more hits than heavy, according to one Poke-tuber I've watched recently. And apparently, you can also see through the packs with a magnifying glass, which now turns me off from buying online. Now I don't know who I should trust. People are such SBs when it comes to Pokemon cards.🙄

I got the irida FA from vstar universe and it came out damaged. I've opened 5 boxes of vstar universe so far and it was the only card that came out like that. Super unlucky

Hey man going to Japan in Feb and was thinking of bringing 5 Charizard upcs.. how much did they pay for them in Japan?
i managed to get 2 boxes (thouggh did pay a premium). I did pull the gold palkia, but boy do i wish it had been the arceus or giratina.
Vmax climax dropped to 50$ after a couple of months out I think ima hold out until 60$

I seriously think everyone should buy every single japanese premium set booster box like this, i also think that people should buy every japanese premium collection set kinda like you did with the pikas and so forth. Japanese + premium = safe to buy MANY at retail its been proven to only go up. Look at ssv & vmax climax just random small examples

The answer is a resounding YES!!! One of the funnest sets to open- and singles prices aren’t out of control. Opened a few boxes and now I’m buying my favorite singles.

Can't justify opening these boxes at the current price unfortunately. But I am enjoying watching others open up them up.
they may be a mistake on your links, you should check that. they point to boosters prices 3 times MSRP. I suggest to your audience to wait in a month and get 2-3 boxes instead of 1 for the same price

Please if you see this, there is a card you need to review, its a Japanese Lillie 66/60 from base sun and moon, the prices can reach up to FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS, no one has ever talked about this card
Japanese Lillie #119 is even more expensive I think. And neither #66 nor #119 are the most expensive Lillie even

I payed way more than I'd like to admit , but honestly it was worth it! Japanese always feels better to open in general but these guaranteed pull sets feel AMAZING! Buy at your own risk for sure, but if you're gonna just grab one to open it is SO fun!
