Happy New Year Jake! This is a great start! At the current market price for the booster boxes you broke even. And these were really good boxes.. Which is the problem with this set right now. You can just buy the singles of the cards and be better off (most of the time). But way more fun trying to pull them.
I think 2023 will be the year I fully switch to buying Japanese sets. Like you said, the English ones have no guarantees about pulls and I've been burned too many times getting almost nothing lol. Also, Happy New Year!

Dang, those were some beautiful alt art cards! Especially that Hisuian Samurott, makes me want to max out my credit card because this set is crazy!🤣 I actually bought myself a booster box last week and pulled the same Glaceon VStar alt art, and the Melony character rare, such awesome cards! Other than that, I also pulled the Charizard V alt art from Brilliant Stars! An Awesome way to end 2022! Here's hoping for more fire pulls in 2023!

Set of the year and it isn’t close. I bought the entei, suicune, raikou and mewtwo SARs on ebay because booster boxes are too expensive for me. I am skipping crown zenith just to save money to open some Vstar universe at some point in time!

Where do you get rid of Japanese bulk cards?
You get 3 AR per box, 1 SAR per box 1 SR energy and most times 1 SR

I hit a god pack, a gold giratina, a gold dialga, 3 friends in hisui, 3 radiant Charizards and almost every AR and SAR minus a Suicune SAR which I'd love to get. But yea I threw a lot of money at whatnot for pulling those cards. I'd say to anyone that really wants to open this set just focus on buying boxes that you personally will get and open. This set is amazing, sadly the English one won't have god packs in them, and it's worth a little over MSRP if you can't find it on Japanese stores websites.
What sleeves & card protectors do you use for your cards?
I use ultra pro sleeves and toploaders, for graded submissions I use card saver I
What site can I use to find the card value of this set? For ungraded value and 10 graded value? I started collecting this set but I’m not sure of what sites to use to find accurate card value for this set. Any help would be most appreciated!

So my question is japanese bulk. Is their a good way to sell japanese bulk? I know English bulk is easy enough for the most part. But if I do almost nothing but japanese I wanna know how to sell that bulk so I don't just throw away
Sure, there are definitely buyers for Japanese bulk. If you buy pokemon cards I would message the sellers you buy from and work out a deal with them. I've made many new friends and contacts that way. Or just list your bulk up for auction and the market will decide how much they're worth
Im heading to japan for 3 weeks in April, hoping they will have some of these boxes to bring back
I went for 2 weeks to japan and got 2 boxes, don't go to the big cities to get a chance to buy them

I’ve opened 5 they are amazing to open but you don’t always get this lucky lol i have been lucky my first 5 boxes i’ve pulled the mewtwo sar and the glaceon sar and i pulled the irida full art and last week i pulled the gold giratina
One of the sellers I buy is the cheapest and he said it’s only going to go down 4-6$ once it reprints early February 😒

I do not! If you watch this video you'll see we show a $400 Japanese Marnie even though it has a $40 english version, and a $400 Japanese Charizard & Reshiram even though there is a $10 English Version. Japanese versions of cards can still outperform their English versions. Especially in this case where the Japanese Pikachu is significantly more rare

It depends, some cards like the Japanese Irida and Japanese Pikachu art rare are going for $200 because they're signifcantly more rare and popular. But it just varies
Japanese are cheaper usually, but like Jake said it varies based on rarity and popularity

You were extremally lucky with those 2 BB. I opened 1 BB of Vstar Universe and can't agree that the pulls were great. I got FA Roxanne which got terrible centering and some weird dot on the front which means it won't get 10. I won't agree with you that japanese quality control is flawless. Other than that I only got Lucario SAR which is pretty much worthless because it'll be in every ETB. This set is very overhyped. I think long term it won't be as good as Tag Team GX All Stars because most chase cards like Irida are based on Legends Arceus which won't hold as much nostalgia as 1st gen characters or Pokemon.
You only opened 1 box and basing your opinion on that definitely need to open some more and yea gx all stars i would say the pull rates are better in v star universe the the trainers are getting expensive from that set but seems harder to get them but i will agree i don’t think this set will be worth as much as tag team gx but this set does have some awesome gem 1 cards the zards and the mewtwo and the glacion and leafon i think this set does have some amazing cards from older generations like the suicune and other dog cards
@@dspokemoncards6184 Yeah just as I said most of chase cards are from Legends Arceus and not many people are crazy about this spin-off game overseas. Rest of the cards will be available in english with Crown Zenith so there's no exclusivity like in Tag Team GX All Stars. For instance in TTGXAS you have FA of Erika Hospitality, FA Sightseer by Naoki Saito and FA Misty & Lorelai which haven't released in english. Those are gorgeous cards and you really don't have anything like that in Vstar Universe. Nothing to chase, just buy singles in japanese or english. I suspect even those 9 cards from God Pack with Pikachu will be released here in some box collection.
I don’t agree on Japanese cards. English valuable cards are harder to get hence should be valued more. You can see how easy is to get good pull on Japanese ones
Is this an exclusive Japanese set?
Zero Sum is a term meaning there is a distinct winner (winner take all) and a distinct loser. For example, heads or tails is a zero sum game. It isn't just a replacement term for absolute 0 lol

You’ve got a 30% IRR not ROI as you’ve not sold the cards and returned the capital.
I got 2 box’s of VSTAR Universe from 2 different sellers, and I got the same 3 regular Art Rares in both boxes. I calculated the odds of this, and it turns out you have a way better chance of pulling a god pack versus 3 duplicate AR’s from 2 total boxes 🤯
I disagree about the pull rates between English and Japanese. Your actually proving that English pull rates are way way lower than Japanese with this video. Quality is definitely better right now with Japanese, but Pokémon is working on that.

I do some, it's harder now because there's a lot of bots and scammers pretending to be content creators when they see giveaways
