Salut, ce sont de très bons conseils...comme d'habitude, merci !
Le mois dernier, en écoutant des chansons, j'ai listé des qualités qui s'opposent, et qu'on peut associer à des émotions : intime/dur ; proche/distant ; dense/épuré ; clair/saturé ; serré/aéré ; lisse/rugueux ; doux/claquant...et quand je mixe, je prends cette liste en me demandant, pour l'ensemble de la chanson, ce que je souhaite, point par point.
Sachant que parfois ça peut être contradictoire, mais pas forcément idiot. Réaliser un mix qui réunisse ces qualités par exemple : Intime, distant, épuré et saturé. Ensuite je me demande comment l'obtenir. Créer une intimité de la voix en la mettant devant, mais en faisant un son très rond, chaud, légèrement saturé...et si le chanteur ne chante pas trop fort et assez proche du micro c'est encore mieux...et créer une distance en mettant de la reverb ou du delay sur certains instruments (drum, guitars...)...etc...
ça m'aide à identifier des objectifs concrets et choisis pour un morceau, ou parfois juste pour un instrument. On arrive ainsi à mettre du relief et à mieux sculpté le son, parce qu'on sait ce qu'on cherche.
