Really? So a boxer is shite until tested? So with certainty I can type here Mike Tyson was tested and lost had a few bouts and ran away. God bless James Buster Douglas.
@Jank Man An old Barrera? You sure about that - Barrera was only 28 and didn't retire for another 10 years. You're right Eubanks division was stacked during his period...Roy Jones Jr, James Toney, Bernard Hopkins, Gerald Mclellan, Steve Collins.....how many of them did he beat exactly? I dont think you know what you're actually talking about do you.
@Jank Man Fair enough mate. I did rate and like Eubank - he was a great boxer. But I just dont think the stick Naz gets is justified at all. People that knock him, just don't like him for non boxing reasons (if they are being honest with themselves). That was a time when British boxers didn't often (for whatever reason) cross the pond and make a dent on the US scene - which was the pinnacle at that time. However on the other hand, Nas was only a featherweight from Sheffield (at a time when the all the glamour was in the higher divisions), and headlined in Vegas and at MSG. Not to mention he was probably one of the highest earning boxers at that time worldwide and that is more remarkable considering her was only a featherweight. The truth is Naz was an awesome boxer. He had great speed, and immense power. People like to write him off because he lost to Barrera, but that is so ill informed. Firstly losing one fight to a hall of famer like Barrera is no shame at all! Secondly he didn't get smashed or knocked out...he just got beat - it happens. But the sad part is you could see his whole preparation for that fight was wrong, and I personally think he just fell out of love with boxing. Thats why he never made any real attempt to go for the rematch or even continue his career. He was far from washed out. The truth is he had probably more money than he could have ever imagined earning (probably more than many boxers even earn today), a family and just didnt have the hunger anymore. For me it was a real shame, because a rematch with Barerra where we would have been fully focused would have been great and a potential fight against an emerging Floyd Mayweather would have been brilliant just for the build up alone! Also retiring the way he did has just dampened his legacy unjustly.

CloudsBeyond Barrera ended his career. I saw that and he got destroyed.
Oh please. I'm not a Naz fan, but he was champion for five years. He won the WBO, WBC, IBF, IBO, Ring and lineal belts in his career. He got beat by a hall of famer in Antonio Barrerra, where he lost 3 rounds on the judges scorecards. People are parroting each other like he got exposed. He had a style that made him look exposed if he ever got caught, like the Kevin Kelly fight for example. A style that made him look awesome or mediocre. He had an amazing career and brought attention to the smaller weight classes, even Floyd Mayweather has said he has Naseem Hamed to thank for getting attention to the featherweight division.
Did Ingle say: "I'm not farting with him anymore, I'm not farting..."?
this is why naseem was overly harsh on eubank jr
Chris all day, Nasseem is a freak
eubank has a good point but if i walk don't mean i'm copying someone else
Got him bang to rights there. Brenda Ingle was lying.
Literally wiped the floor with him 😂
