An awesome amphibious camper van, small but terrible! Has lot of practical technology and energy efficient. This is the best for couples who are on the way honeymooning along rugged mountainous trek before having babies in the future!! Double thumbs up for you guys, keep on moving with your nice channel!!
Wow... The way you people employ mini caravan into a comfortable mobile chateau is an amazing experience. The way you enjoy this nomadic life is my inspiration and dream...
Steph, you are a wonder woman. Lee is so lucky to have such an organised person to manage all the finances and the like. Great rundown on Grizzle & Bear.
At 11:57, you guys probably missed up the units. It should be 13,9L/100km not 13,9km/100L ^^. Would change the car real quick with such consumption haha
I built a simple shower by hanging 2 shower curtains overlapped at the edges with curtain hooks on a hoola hoop. When using it, I hook the plastic hoop to the roof rack to the side of my 4 X 4 with a mini maglite flashlight mounting brackets. (Small and simple) and tie off some para cord to the outer edges to hold it horizontal off the rack. My roof rack floor is a small wooden grate which I also use for the shower floor so we're not showering standing in the mud. With my propane powered tankless water heater, water pump and shower head I become very popular with the females at the extreme off gird camping spots while 4 wheeling in the USA. Seems the ladies like a nice hot, stand up shower to wash their hair in rather than bending over a bucket. It all stores away really small and flat. Just an idea for you Steph.
Great video , just only can truly congratulate to you guys that you doing all that. Love to see more please. In the meantime good luck to you both.❤️✌️✌️✌️👍
Wonderful seeing all this, keep on sharing, we are really enoying your journey, your camper, your chemistry. You are a lovely couple, our best wishes for you. Stay safe and blessed. Lot of love from me n my family
Hi Guys. I have been following your You Tube channel for a while and believe it is one of the best on the Net for long term Overlanding. I try to figure out how you created those big extra storage drawers which you can access from the sides and the rear of the camper. I have checked Four Wheel Campers Net presence but can not find this add on options. Did you built it your-self? And if so how?
'GrizzlyNBear'... so very capable when separate, then even more so when 'complete'. Thank you both for that amazing tour and insight into your wonderfully adventurous lifestyle. Cheers for sharing :)
Very neat set up done on your vehicle. Just thinking out loud if the tap for the potable water is placed at the right place as it is prone to dirt accumulation
That is great marketing for the tools that you have proven to rely on. That is so important. Thank you for sharing the brand names so I know what to buy for my overlanding experiences. Love you guys... ...keep on keeping on...
I`m from Germany living one hour east from Munich, I absolutly love this Defander inkl. this Camper 4x4 is a must have for this touring definitly. Since you have the Guimble I absolute appriciate your Videos awesome how you both do, have been as well in Australia & New Zealand and over the time in other Countrys only mostly with backpack - Marocco with VW - Golf Turbo Diesel was taking out the rear sit and made a floor to slipe in the car even outside the City of Maracash have been in the Suck only with a Travel guide as well, it was the first time in North Africa ! I wich yours much more fun to have on the road again so awesome your Videos good luck for fugure from Germany / see you Werner
Steph, love your accounting skills!!!!! Please do a video on tips and how to get this good at tracking what you spend. Newly subscribed viewer here. Love what you guys are doing!
Nice video! Good overview of how you are traveling! For the consumption I really can recommend you the app "Spritmonitor" (no it is not a commercial thing just an easy way of doing it.You videos are giving me also the idea to travel around the world! Will keep enjoying your videos!Greetings from the Netherlands!
it has been really nice to come and visit Turkey. in the future, I have a beautiful dream about caravan trips. we hope you enjoyed. Greetings from Turkey.
I love this channel, I love your camper, and I definitely love what you guys are doing!!! Keep up the great job on this channel.. And you will be very welcome here in Argentina!!
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland Ok, my family and I are on Couchsurfing and Servas.. Feel free to contact us if u happen to visit North East Argentina.. Good luck and good roads!
Like the fact you have gone into great detail about all aspects of camper life, like cooking and have explained problems you have had like getting gas. Enjoyed camper interior walk through and your own solutions to storage. Showing all extra equipment you carry and use is great benefit to future campers. Will defiantly get gas bottle indicator as its so annoying running out of gas. Thanks for great and informative video. Is your patron site up and running yet.
Hey Craig Thanks for the message. Steph put a lot of thought into it and many hours editing. The gas bottle indicator is definitely a good edition and doesn't weigh much. We have the Patreon page up and running under GrizzlyNbear Overland 😉 Thanks again.
Thanks GrizzyNbearNbear. Will look up patron over weekend and work out how to give, won't be much but every little helps. Hopefully if you get enough patrons, you might be able to get GrizzyNbearNbear around the world. Keep living the dream of traveling the world for us subscribers. Good luck with getting patrons. Enjoy your journey and stay safe.
A „Grayl Geopress“ could be a good improvement for your water filtration when you are on a hike. It is very handy, doesn’t take much space and it is a water bottle and water filtration system combined. By the way, great rig and really great videos that you are producing, keep going and always good travel :)
You two are awesome . love your videos . This one was great , had wanted one like this . Great inspirational video . From Steve stott in sutherlin Oregon u.s.a.
Hope you don't mind me saying, your smiles say it all. Your videos are great, inspirational and really shows how little you really need in your life really. I can see you budget well etc. how long do you think you can go before you need to land a job and raise additional funds to travel again?
It depends. A lot can be unpredictable. Turkey was very affordable because of the exchange rate at the moment. As we go East the Diesel seems to be cheaper also. Should be $0.35 in Azerbaijan. We also decided not to go to China and that should save us a lot. ( you need to pay for a guid ...) it will also depends on Patreon support. Haha.
Très bien cette vidéo , intéressante pour ceux qui voudraient partir comme vous et aussi les autres. Bonne continuation. Au plaisir de vous rencontrer , peut être du côté d’Annonay 😉
I know this upload is old, so I hope you guys get to see this. Since you like to cook on coals, you might look into the little reciprocating saw that uses the same batteries as your drill, if you can find the room. I have a Makita set and use mine with the pruning blade for cutting firewood for my grill while camping as well as at home.
It’s very nice to see you guys enjoying life as if it is dreams of many people that really can’t live it the way you guys do. Just wondering how do you guy get the budget of travelling?
The training elastics are an excellent idea. Going to fetch some now, because I'm leaving tomorrow morning on a one year trip to Mongolia. Keep up the good work. 💪
Hi mate They are awesome and weigh nothing. What is your route to Mongolia? We are in Georgia for the next month then crossing Azerbaijan and shipping to Kazakhstan. We will find somewhere to stay in either Bishkek or Almaty for the worst of winter.
Luv that video. I'm building an off road teardrop to take the family on camping/climbing trips. .. So the Xtra ideas r great...I'd like to know about the items u can't live without. Or best gear, something like that. Let us know where and how to become a patron. Keep living the dream!!!! Luv ya guys
Hello Thanks for the comment Alex. Steph put a lot of thought and many hours into that video. Sounds like an awesome project you have on the go, you will have to send us some pictures of the progress. Items we can't do without is obviously all of our climbing equipment 😉 We carry basic spare parts but in the end Murphy's law says that the part you need won't be in the spare parts kit anyway haha Couriers deliver to most of the planet these days and internet is everywhere so in the end you might be stranded for a while but you can get out of most situations. We have been living like this for many years now so I think we almost have it narrowed down as far as gear goes. I think my coffee Moka pot is one item I can't do without haha You can find our page GrizzlyNbear Overland on the Patreon website. Thanks so much for your support.
The big green heavy duty bucket. Good for Laundry , dishes, shower, food shopping, put rubbish in while driving looking for disposal point, put wet towels. ..
We like your lifestyle. A bit surprised you don’t use a spreadsheet for recording fuel and food expenses. Have you tried a reduced carbohydrate diet? Works wonders on your energy levels and doesn’t give you those massive tiredness spells.
I love writing in notebooks. :) We cut off carbs few years ago while climbing a lot. The best we felt in our lives probably. It's probably an excuse but while traveling; bread, pasta and rice are highly available, affordable, and satisfying. How many times we only had bread for dinner.... but I keep in mind. Maybe something to work on again. Thank you.
Great...we keep having the naughty treats when travelling...something to look forward to when you don’t really want to cook. We are hopefully off travelling in our VW Transporter, Perth to Lake Argyle via Alice Springs in September.....could you send your laundry maid to help us?
Texas...there isn't much nature or exploring here, so I am living vicariously through you guys until I can explore the rest of the US. Looking forward to the next video!
