Phillipines share with Cuba and Puerto Rico practically the same fate as the same colonial heritage. The three almost for 4 centuries were under the Spanish grip to fall,In 1898, under the American one.120 years later,Cuba is ruled by a communist regime,Puerto Rico is a Free Associated State.

Not to hate and I'm very very thankful for what they did but isn't it their obligation to protect this country that they've colonized

Why does the campaigne in the Phillippines remain practically unknown?.The Phillippines is a country as big as Italy and the most important:Two US Armies fought there besides the first Kamikaze operation started at Tacloban.

@@anibalcesarnishizk2205 firstly, the attention goes to Europe, Russia and Japan. Second, idk if its true but I am reading that US and Japan didn't put so much topic in the WWII in the Philippines in their education system.

Yep,you are right.I want you to know i am from Argentina and i read a lot of books on WWII.My father was Japanese and my mother Irish Argentinian so i heard from my father many things about WWII as from my grandmother as well whose father was English. There are books on Iwo,Okinawa,Saipan and the relatively unknown Peleliu but few about the campaigns in New Guinea where the U.S.Army suffered heavy casualties. The Japanese lacked a good logistical system, something Americans had too many. The question is:Was Mac Arthur a good general as he is been said?.

      What Nonsense.
Winners decide the fate of nations.
You would be bowing to the emperor and speaking Japanese if they won the war.

Why Mindanao did not attack by the japanese? Just like lapu lapu Islam getting jealous to christians religion and in that time Japanese are against christianity.
