Great presentation.. After watching your vid, I removed the 4 bolts holding the spindle which let me remove and install the bearings on my workbench, just a little easier. Thanks for the vid though that saved me $80 over buying a complete spindle vs 2 bearings

A great and detailed repair video, seeing the blades of the lawn mower spinning again is really uplifting. If you need any small engine parts for the lawn care equipment repair, just let me know and we can work together to help more DIY repairers I believe. We are here to help them source the parts they need easier and more affordable.

Great video, and very helpful for all of us do it yourself folks! Just a couple of things I thought I should mention. A Ball Pean hammer is a much better choice for striking any chisels, as it is not nearly as likely to chip or splinter, as it is hardened; and you don't want any pieces hitting you in your eyes or face. Also, I don't know if you had safety glasses on or not, but make sure to wear them when spinning any kind of wire wheel. Those wheels can release wires or debris, and that can be dangerous. Keep up the good work!

It’s common for the smaller 6203 on top under pulley and larger 6204 next to blade
Removal of inter brging covers towards each other and use grease gun to fill

I've had the same ride on since 1994. But its a simple 12 hp Briggs MTB. I've rebuilt the trans once, then replaced with a used one. New set of tires. and replaced spindle bearings every two years. I have 2 acres of jungle area and sharpen the blades every 6 to 10 hours (like knives). Forget about looking up bearings numbers online, There are too many spindle variations . Just pull the spindle out and leave your deck attached to your mower. Rebuild the spindle in a shop vise. Record the bearing numbers and stock up. 6204 2rs (rubber seals) for me

I saw zirc fittings on the bottom of both of your spindles. You could have used that grease gun on those zirc fittings and your bearings would not have worn out.

Hi. One of my rear wheels is squeaking loudly. It is so loud I can occasionally hear it even while I'm mowing over that noise. Now I wonder how much stuff I have to take apart to get to that. I imagine it has these same type of bearings around an axle, but not sure.

Pretty odd problem. And I don't know the answer. Is it a gear driven transmission or hydrostatic? That may not make any difference. I would start my analysis by getting the rear end of the tractor off the ground, turning the wheels by hand, and just trying to specifically identify the source of the noise. Axle bearings would be inside the transmission housing, I would think. From the outside you can just access the axle seals. Maybe the noise is one of the idler pulleys? You're just gonna have to get under there and find out what's going on. Let me know what you find out..... PS, do you still have your Rexhall RV?

I use a 8 lb sledgehammer and brace with 4/4 blocks under deck
    Several hits does it
It’s a every day thing in shop
Just remove the inside seal cover and use grease gun to fill it
    Some has 6203 and 6204 , others 2 of the 6204

In my case, I googled "Scotts 42589x8," which is the make and model number of my tractor. From there I used ereplacmentparts dot com, or partstree dot com to look at the detailed diagrams and parts lists for my tractor. Then, you can either order from those sites, or you can jot down the part number and search for it on ebay or amazon. Good luck!

How can the sleeve go that way and have a Pugh too for the pulley?

Skip looking for mower parts. Either mic the bearings or take them to a bearing retailer locally. They'll mic it and hand you the matching bearings.

Ah, no way. I now do 99.9% of shopping for mower parts online. I've wasted too much time and gas running all over the place looking for parts locally, only to find out they don't have it. "We can order it for you," they always add. I say, "No thanks. I can do that myself."

Best to remove the inside bearing covers and then the grease gun will go into bearing
