You realize you’re only using a half stick of butter, right? You say use a stick of butter - so which one is it? I keep waiting for you to put in the other half. That’s just a quarter cup.

I made this today and it is SO GOOD! I creamed the butter and sugar for a bit before adding the eggs + creme and I think it helped with the leavening!

I don't see why not. Those are 2 ingredients that can be changed in baking and not really be noticed.
