Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

There is a lady who raises sheep in Canada, the program is called "Sheepishly Me". When the sheep have more than two, she transfers the extra lambs from their Mom to a bottle, than the nanny. The Nanny is similar to Kevin's craft multi bottle holder. They don't catch on immediately and must be trained, so be patient. 😊
Exactly. In my head I keep saying just keep trying for a few days n they will get it. And it helps if they r really hungry. I've seen Reed em weep wait for the babies to be hungry to bottle feed they should do the same with this. And don't give in!! Lol they will learn.

Oh I have missed Luna and Willow they both look so happy to be out... Kevin's Craft was not crap it was awesome job... And Lancelot looks so well adjusted into the group it has made it hard for me to keep Lola as my favorite, cuz he so beautiful... love this channel
I feel like the baby goats need a rubber bladder rather than a bottle so they have something to mash their faces into like an udder 😂

@@Wosiewose they will figure out pretty quickly not to do that. A lot of goat farmers feed their babies this way. They wouldn't do it if the babies kept hurting themselves. And the babies would refuse to use it if it was upsetting them.

Meg Herms that sounds very original. Most like eating from Mom. But their idea can work I think especially if first bottle of the day.
I feel like letting a couple goats at a time to help them learn would be a good idea, then it's not so overwhelming trying to get all of them to latch and feed
It's always chaos initially but they figure it out very quickly.
I just have fallen in love with goats because of you. I love how sweet you make them. It’s just so soothing to my soul. And it’s a craft, Kevin.😊

I HAVE to say it again even though I'm late. You should keep Lola, moon spots two (what's her name?), and aspen. My normal reasons apply. You've never kept a hazel baby, and the other two would make beautiful babies with Lancelot! Especially if moon spots show up on gold!

I like how everyone does things differently on their farms. It’s very interesting and cool to see you do this all on 1 acre. I have 3 but you’ve shown me I can utilize those acres for a great goat farm ❤ blessings

I get tired just hearing all the work you guys do, but it is so fun to see the results. Adorable babies, attentive mommas, Boss Lady Luna. And of course, Newt the Baby Zoomer! So glad that you guys share with us, AND that there are more babies on the way!

I just loved everything about this video! Everyone was healthy and happy, Kevin was back to crafting, the entire family was back together, Luna looking like the queen she is and little Willow the pretty princess she is, and Da’Nelle making a recipe I have completely forgotten about making in a long time and would be perfect for lunches! Maybe the wood bar should be raised above 3-6inches higher. That way the kids don’t have to crouch underneath.

It seems the bigger ones find it hard because it’s quite low. Maybe put it a bit higher. The bucket feeder seems easier. But you can’t see how much each baby is getting.
Willow and Luna were so happy to be free.
You need to be e to be able to raise bottles up as the kids grow up. Maybe by putting a rope on both ends, then use a pulley system to raise the whole bar up.

I am jealous of your garden. I want to get started so bad. At least I get to start seeds this weekend. We started second false spring about a week ago, so the days are beautiful. It got up to 56 degrees today. It was so nice to be outside in just a long-sleeved light t-shirt. I could have gotten away with a short-sleeved one. Another 8 degrees and I can break out the shorts. With no wind, it was positively balmy. I know you wouldn't think so where you are, but for up here it was glorious until an hour before the sun went down.
We used a rack for lambs last year and give them a few days and they will get too chaotically quick you’ll struggle to get the bottles in, in time 🤣 nice work Kevin!

Kevin needs to add hedges on it so you can load all the bottles without leaking once loaded then you can let it down and they can feed....great craft

I make those lettuce wraps all the time. Add a small zest of fresh ginger but not too much it’s powerful. a drizzle of sesame oil. Also i add some diced carrots, and lastly green onion. Such a hit. Especially as an appetizer for family functions .

Kevin shaved that’s so crazy. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him without one. My husband shaved after a few months and he looked so much younger it was insane.

I love how you work around your kitchen and how its always clean , your garden is looking amazing and so is the pond , you should so try to grow water chestnuts in the pond that would be a really cool experiment to do , I had that same dish the other day and it is amazing but i would advise you to garnish it with spring onions and sesame seeds just gives it that little extra crunch , good job tho with trying to post regularly your doing a great job . 🥰🥰

There's a place where I live, called Holly's Nest, named after their daughter they lost, they have a web page and a face book page. I found three baby squirrels after the tree people came and took down a limb off a huge pine tree, found them all and then found this place and he took them in for me. The have to feed quite a bit of baby animals and they food the fawns they have the same way. They have a photo of it on their web page and face book page.
