Welcome to the world famous Crowsnest River in the Crowsnest Pass Alberta. Hike, Run, Walk along the river and railway to the Mohawk Coal tipple that was used up until the 1950s. Today the tipple remains as a brick shell of the original structure.
Coal tipples were used to transfer coal from the nearby mines to the rail cars so that the coal could be taken to market.
