She knows what she is sayin with that early times bib. My guilty pleasure tho is msrp eh Taylor hard to find...harder to find at msrp. But at $37 when I find it....all day
Cousin Anita! So glad to finally see her after hearing so much about her. She seems like a blast to hang out with! All y’all are two peas in a pod! Had a pour of the OF birthday bourbon for $30. It was ok, not worth the hype. Had a pour of the Elmer T Lee for $15 and enjoyed that more.
the only allocated bottle ive ever gotten my hands on , was a bottle of Blanton's a friend from Tennessee gifted me for my birthday last sept. I think he said he paid 69.99 plus tax for it....i think thats decent.
Cheers you two! I agree with your bottles, I just recently picked up a willett the other day for $59. Would not buy again, but will probably go back to it from time to time for reference.
She has access to all the much better and hard to find bourbons that her cousin has laying around - There’s much better options than Early Times for her.
Judge, Cousin Anita nailed it with her assessment that it’s all about enjoying bourbon and the people you enjoy it with. I’m with her 100% on the Early Times BiB. One of my favorites. She is so entertaining too! You should make her a regular or she should start her own channel. Keep up the good work please! Spot on with your assessments too.
You really need to qualify the Blantons as the cheaper regular, but the Weller full proof and 12 is good stuff. In my area theyre a couple hundred secondary.
I haven’t come across the Willett or Old Forrester, but have to agree on the others. Nothing is really worth paying too much over MSRP. I’m huge on Blanton’s but not over MSRP. I won’t pay what some places want for BTAC or Old Carter, but always keep an eye out for them at MSRP.
I’m a sucker for Elmer T Lee. I won’t pay the $300-$400 for it, but if I ever see a bottle (which I likely won’t) for within shouting distance of retail, I will jump on it so I have one. Always been a fan of it, but I know a lot who disagree. Great content as always Judge!!
I agree with your picks for overhyped bottles. Locally, the Blanton's is in the $ 150-160 range, and the Elmer T Lee is minimum $300. I have both, and they are at best average. Great job, Cheers brother and cousin Anita!
Love the episodes with Cousin Anita! You guys are very fun and entertaining. 20 years ago I could buy Birthday Bourbon and Elmer T Lee for $45 on the shelf any day of the week. 🥃
Great content Judge - I have never seen theses bottles in the wild I tired Blanton’s at a bar but none of the other 4. All outside of my price range when they get above MSRP, glad to hear I’m not missing out.
Glad to see Cousin Anita back to help you trim back your inventory! I agree that it is crazy to spend big money on these allocated bottles. I'm happy with Early Times, Four Roses single barrel and Russell's single barrel and day of the week.
Great selection. Buffalo T. needs to stop thinking that they can get away with allocating everything they make. Here in VA, it’s rare to even have their regular $25 - $35 bottle of BT on the shelf. I guess you can just make a glass case to put that Elmer t. Lee in. It’s a unique bottle. You can throw Blanton’s in their too. It’s funny how 3 out of the 5 have unique bottles!!!!
It's only allocated because of the demand. If it was sitting on. The shelf not being bought, it wouldn't be allocated. Not really Buffalo traces fault.
It hasn't been on the shelf in VA at all for years now. Allocated only. There are a bunch of factors why: hype, a corrupt distributor, hype, marketing... hype. Hopefully this too will pass. In the meantime, where the hell is John J. Bowman? Haha... but seriously... where the hell is John J. Bowman?!
Great to see Cousin Anita. Sooner or later, I’m gonna get me a Fiddler. I have an OF birthday bourbon, haven’t opened it yet, but I won it in a lottery, so I didn’t go over msrp. One of my most disappointing buys ever, Weller 12. I paid $150, which isn’t too bad comparatively, but never again. Now, I also paid $150 for my Elmer, and I enjoyed that more than the Weller. But again, never again, lol. Cheers from Bali, Indonesia Judge
I barely missed getting the last EHT Small Batch the other day. I wasn’t really disappointed even though I recently emptied my bottle. I would rather find another John J Bowman than an EHT. I’ll buy an EHT SB if i find one, but I will not hunt it. I like having one around to share with friends who never had it and want to try it.
Loved this! Couldn't agree more with your list...though I like to have Blanton's on hand to offer to friends who are more enthralled by the hype than the actual whiskey. BTW, I want to party with Cousin Anita!
None of this surprised me. I only have one of these on the shelf - Blanton's - and only because I was doing a tour at the distillery and that was their bottle available that day. Have had a pour of ETL and was completely whelmed (I love that word 😃).
Cousin Anita and Bourbon Judge's laugh, totally a giveaway that they are related, and awesome. Great content you two, keeps this "hobby" fun and in perspective.
Good calls! Bourbon life get easier if you just forget about Buffalo Trace for now. I bet there are 200+ bottles on the shelf that you haven't tried yet...at least that's the case for me. And I've found some fantastic bourbon that was right there under my nose. In your travels you'll come across BT product's at a reasonable cost.
😂 I saw a Wild Turkey Master's Keep Unforgotten at a Frankfort liquor store for $900. The distillery is selling the same thing for $200 (and for me, that's even testing my limits). I had a sample of ETL once. For me, it's an under-$50 flavor.
Judge I agree with you and Cousin Anita those prices for allocated whiskey are just nuts. The whiskey row series of Old Forester are some of my favorite bottles and $60 at most. I will stay with 1920 and they can keep the birthday bourbon. LOL
Great list Judge! I won the 20’ Birthday bourbon in the VA lottery and coworker has the 2019 release and we were both underwhelmed. I do like the bottle shape and reuse the bottle for personal blends! Maybe it would be better above 100 proof? Always enjoy the content!
I’m the sucker who pays $300 online for the bottle of Weller 12, and it’s not even so much for the taste but the memory it evokes of the first time I had it in a hotel bar on a nice vacation. I rarely drink it though, so one bottle lasts me 8-10 months.
Thanks for the shoutout 🥃 it’s crazy how much bourbon has gone up but I would LOVE to get my hands on the wellers full proof and 12 yr. Can’t even find these in the bars to sample
I like a few allocated bottles but tired of paying 4-5 times MSRP. They taste so much better better at retail. I have a STL I got at retail, but then again I hung out with a bunch of tattoos for about 10 hrs.
Judge I am going to say this is a hard video to watch to watch. It is hard to watch someone say you should not pay market price you should only pay msrp for a product. When 5 days ago the same person says pay 80 for my bottle when it is 66ish on the shelf. Also when you say a company produces limited quantities of a 12 year bourbon. Make sure you put yourself in there decision room in 2011 and saying we should be really increasing production I know sales are flat but we should be putting a lot of resources into making more. For this I ask how many do you have sitting on your shelf from back when they were sitting on shelves in liquor stores everyday for weeks on end.
@BourbonJudge Show me a state and location that is charging as much as you. Now you have a couple of barrel picks and you are charging over msrp. And can you please address the comment that Buffalo trace is limiting production of weller 12? Sorry judge I am ruling you hypocritical.
I love that you always keep it real and love, love LOVE Cousin Anita! ❤❤🥃🥃
Thnx Melissa
Getting toasted with toasted 😂😂😂
Lol that comment had me cracking up too..
Your cuzz is cool😀
She knows what she is sayin with that early times bib. My guilty pleasure tho is msrp eh Taylor hard to find...harder to find at msrp. But at $37 when I find it....all day
I hear ya
Had a shot of birthday and liked it. Found a bottle in DC for $1500. Its still in DC.
😂
Cousin Anita! So glad to finally see her after hearing so much about her. She seems like a blast to hang out with! All y’all are two peas in a pod!
Had a pour of the OF birthday bourbon for $30. It was ok, not worth the hype. Had a pour of the Elmer T Lee for $15 and enjoyed that more.
Thnx
I love how much you are both enjoying this!! Infectious happiness is the best.
Thnx Hollis
10:10 One might think it's odd to see _any_ metal screw-top bottle at $500 on a shelf. 😳😬
Thanks for the content very entertaining!
the only allocated bottle ive ever gotten my hands on , was a bottle of Blanton's a friend from Tennessee gifted me for my birthday last sept.
I think he said he paid 69.99 plus tax for it....i think thats decent.
Loving Bourbon Judge’s shirt in this vid!
Thnx Roger…
Cheers you two! I agree with your bottles, I just recently picked up a willett the other day for $59. Would not buy again, but will probably go back to it from time to time for reference.
Absolutely
I can find Blanton's for MSRP at my local supermarket often throughout the year. I don't buy anything on the secondary market.
Cousin Anita nailed it when she praised the Early Times Bottled in Bond. You need to have her on more often!
She has access to all the much better and hard to find bourbons that her cousin has laying around - There’s much better options than Early Times for her.
I’ve been able to pick up a couple Blanton’s at MSRP, I used the empty for my infinity bottle
Smart move Tony
Judge, Cousin Anita nailed it with her assessment that it’s all about enjoying bourbon and the people you enjoy it with. I’m with her 100% on the Early Times BiB. One of my favorites. She is so entertaining too! You should make her a regular or she should start her own channel. Keep up the good work please! Spot on with your assessments too.
Thnx Berkeley…. Appreciate the kind words.
I used to get Weller 12 for $25 a bottle.
Sounds about right. Buff Trace isn't exactly hiding what it thinks of it with the metal screw cap...
I agree all around . Especially on the Birthday Bourbon
I’m glad that is getting exposed. I like Weller 12, but only for retail price
Absolutely Blake👏🏾
Judge and Cousin - thanks for another great video. On point about the hype too 👍
Thanks for watching!
You really need to qualify the Blantons as the cheaper regular, but the Weller full proof and 12 is good stuff. In my area theyre a couple hundred secondary.
I've only seen John J Bowman once, and it was marked up to $150.
Judge you always keep it 💯. Appreciate you bruh. Cousin Nita! What up Shawty. Thank you for hanging out with us
Always!! Thnx Rob…
Love this. Who would pay upwards of $200+ for a 90 proof bottle? Ridiculous.
Thumbs up for Cousin Anita!
Last time i got weller 12 here in Tx it was 32 at a big box store
On point with all of these Judge and Cousin Anita! Msrp otherwise pass on all of these. Salute 🥃
Ben….🥃👏🏾
Thanks for being truthful Judge!
You are so cool 😎. I love your impersonation of Old Forester birthday bottle. 😂😅
😂🥃
Has a sample of the Birthday Burboun and it was very disappointing for the price.
Agreed. It is good. Was lucky to find it for $27 and at that it is abuy by the case.
I paid 38 Plus tax for Elmer T Lee in my state I like it for the price. Cheers
I've seen Elmer for 499 and rock hill for 399. Would love to try either but I can wait an eternity before paying even dbl MSRP
I love to see you get along with your family like that. Warms my ❤️
Thnx sir..
I called that Elmer T Lee.
I just picked up 3 bottles of Weller 12 for $42 each. I know, best day ever!
Wow
I agree with your picks for overhyped bottles. Locally, the Blanton's is in the $ 150-160 range, and the Elmer T Lee is minimum $300. I have both, and they are at best average. Great job, Cheers brother and cousin Anita!
It's interesting, especially considering the fact that ETL is almost half the price at MSRP. Out of curiosity, which do you enjoy more?
Blantons haters are crazy. love it. last 2 bottles i got were under $100
super fun video. cousin Anita is so much fun and great energy. I agree with the not worth hunt. cheers.
Cousin Anita is the best!!!!!
You are so on point with these choices. Cousin Anita is a riot, but makes so much sense. She should come whiskey hunting with me to keep me in check.
😂
Omg Cousin Anita is the bomb! Her budget seems to be aligned with mine!!! Cheers!
Lol
Like more "cowbell" with Blue Oyster Cult's (Don't Fear) The Reaper, PLEASE more Cousin Nita!! She's the best!!
Will do
Love the episodes with Cousin Anita! You guys are very fun and entertaining. 20 years ago I could buy Birthday Bourbon and Elmer T Lee for $45 on the shelf any day of the week. 🥃
She’s sweet.
That is awesome!
Thnx Dave
Great content Judge - I have never seen theses bottles in the wild I tired Blanton’s at a bar but none of the other 4. All outside of my price range when they get above MSRP, glad to hear I’m not missing out.
My wife got me this shirt lol.
Glad to see Cousin Anita back to help you trim back your inventory! I agree that it is crazy to spend big money on these allocated bottles. I'm happy with Early Times, Four Roses single barrel and Russell's single barrel and day of the week.
Cousin Anita is the perfect creamer to your coffee. Love to see her more often!
Gracias

Hopefully this too will pass. In the meantime, where the hell is John J. Bowman? Haha... but seriously... where the hell is John J. Bowman?!
They do get away with it - that’s the problem.
Excellent points Stan…
Judge, do a giveaway with the Elmer lol
😂
Great to see Cousin Anita. Sooner or later, I’m gonna get me a Fiddler. I have an OF birthday bourbon, haven’t opened it yet, but I won it in a lottery, so I didn’t go over msrp. Jimmy ahh your overseas.. safe travels my man
Great choices...I would trade the Elmer for a pair of 4 Roses Barrel Strength
Elmer T. Lee…… I’ve never had it. Seen it in the glass cases but don’t have the money to buy it. And like you say, why would I want to? Great show! 😊
I paid $150 for a Wellers 12 year… not $300… I am probably still a sucker!!
Well said!
Yeah. I have trouble paying more than 100 bucks for any bourbon. I'd rather get two or three bottles for between 70 and 100.
Loved this! Couldn't agree more with your list...though I like to have Blanton's on hand to offer to friends who are more enthralled by the hype than the actual whiskey. BTW, I want to party with Cousin Anita!
Judge I'll trade you something for that ETL. I personally think it's vastly overrated as well but my nephew wants 1 to put in his BT collection.
None of this surprised me. I only have one of these on the shelf - Blanton's - and only because I was doing a tour at the distillery and that was their bottle available that day. Have had a pour of ETL and was completely whelmed (I love that word 😃).
Blanton’s is overhyped but still good; I just snagged a local store pick for $80, so not bad. Curious how it compares to the standard stuff.
Good point Phil
Cousin Anita and Bourbon Judge's laugh, totally a giveaway that they are related, and awesome. Great content you two, keeps this "hobby" fun and in perspective.
Much appreciated..

Definitely done chasing allocated. Tons of good stuff out there.
So true!!
EH Taylor
It's simple, don't pay more than MSRP! There are alternatives to the overhyped Bourbons on most shelves.
I am with you all on prices! I have yet to spend over 65.00 for any whiskey I've had so far!
Great list Judge! I won the 20’ Birthday bourbon in the VA lottery and coworker has the 2019 release and we were both underwhelmed. I do like the bottle shape and reuse the bottle for personal blends! Maybe it would be better above 100 proof? Always enjoy the content!
Totally agree!
I don’t even look in the case. I buy the best bourbon at the best price.
I’m the sucker who pays $300 online for the bottle of Weller 12, and it’s not even so much for the taste but the memory it evokes of the first time I had it in a hotel bar on a nice vacation. I rarely drink it though, so one bottle lasts me 8-10 months.
Oh why are you playing with 13th colony bottle like that? Haha
Only look alike I could come up with…
It’s always an enjoyable video when I’m smiling and laughing the whole time. As always great content and always a bonus when cousin Anita is on.
Thnx Robert
Thanks for the shoutout 🥃 it’s crazy how much bourbon has gone up but I would LOVE to get my hands on the wellers full proof and 12 yr. Can’t even find these in the bars to sample
Bourbon prices are insane!!! Cheers Devi!!
Man imagine paying 500 dollars for Weller 12 and getting home to discover it has a screw top.
😂
I've found weller12 40euro in Paris. How it could be..
I need to go to Paris…😂🥃
I like a few allocated bottles but tired of paying 4-5 times MSRP. They taste so much better better at retail. I have a STL I got at retail, but then again I hung out with a bunch of tattoos for about 10 hrs.
Cousin Anita balances out the bourbon judges expensive taste.
I bet some people will line up to buy a dusty elmer from ya :)
I had fun watching this. Made me laugh, cousin Anita has amazing energy.
Elmer is ridiculously overrated!!!! 30 dollars is what it should be.
Bourbon Judge!....when you order OF Birthday Bourbon on Wish....LOL !!!!!
Lol
Judge I am going to say this is a hard video to watch to watch.
It is hard to watch someone say you should not pay market price you should only pay msrp for a product.
