Hi John. The 63 set are really sharp looking cards. That top 10 list is full of stars, as it should be. I wonder what that PSA 10 Rose rookie would go for now. Thanks for sharing John.

Thanks Stephen. Given that there is only 1 PSA 10 I wouldn't be surprised if it would fetch $1 million if it were to go up for auction today seeing what it got 7 years ago.

Another great video. I only have the Aaron from this set. Hope to pick up a few more next year. Thanks for all your research and for sharing.

Thanks Clint! I'm missing that Aaron for my run (among some others). I would like to pick one up in 2024.

Great video John! No surprise at number 1, but I was surprised there has been a PSA 10 graded!😳

Thanks Shannon! If that 10 sold for $717K back in 2016 I wonder if it would fetch $1 million if it would go up for auction today? I always wonder who owns these super valuable cards.

I really like the 63 set. I don’t have any rookies but felt good that I actually have some of the top ten cards, okay they are ungraded & only 2 but still.😊 thanks John.

Doesn't matter what condition they are or that they are not graded. It's cool that you have some of them. I just have the Koufax and Mantle from the top 10.

Thanks for sharing, John. The 63 Topps set has beautiful color images & nice presentable stats on the back.. Not a big fan of the multi rookie head shot cards, but like the multi full player images. As with the 1971 Topps set condition sensitive especially on the bottom portion of the cards. Surprised that the last card of Musial didn't crack the top 10 list. Nice variety. Figured the Rose rookie would be #1. Some collector must have lots of money to pay that amount for it. Too rich for me. The Mantle I'm guessing would be in the five to possibly six figure range like the Rose.

Thanks Kevin! I'm not a big fan of the "floating heads" rookie cards either. I'm also a little surprised that the Musial did not make the top 10 seeing that it's his last playing days card. Usually those cards are very popular with collectors.

I'm not surprised that Yogi is on the list nice to see a multi player rookie in 8th place , i'm surprised that Yaz didn't make the list?
I don't expect the top 5 when you have the big 4 plus the Rose rookie but I would have thought 8th or 7th place.
    questions
    1. Do you think the reason Yogi was in 10th and Stan and Bob Gibson were 13th and 14th is because Yogi was on the Yankees and had the better career or regardless of the team Yogi had the better Carrer? more in demand
    2. do you think part of Bob Gibson is he was a pitcher and Yogi a position player?
    3. you know how you say most collectors prefer the Tony Olivia 2nd year over the rookie , Willie Stargell same 2nd year over the rookie.
which card do you think most collectors would prefer the Tony Olivia rookie , Willie Stargell rookie or the 1963 Yaz not just ebay buyers and people who look at VCP but people who go to card shops the rookies or the 63 Yaz?

      1. That may have something to do with it. I would have thought that the Musial would be worth more than the Berra since it is Musial's last card. But there are a lot of Yankees fans out there. I don't think it's because collectors think Berra had a better career than Musial.
      2. Maybe? Again, it may just be because Yogi was a Yankee.
      3. If given a choice of the Oliva rookie, Stargell rookie, or the 63 Yaz, it's tough to say but I would think that they would rather have the Oliva or Stargell rookie over the Yaz just because it's their rookie card.

Decent design, but not great. My favorite part is the Rookie floating heads. I have a run of them. Just missing Stargell and Oliva. Not a fan of either so not willing to pay the premium. I have the Rose in a centered PSA 6.5. Werid the Stargell goes for half the Oliva in the PSA 9 when he was twice the player.

I think the difference between the Stargell and Oliva in a PSA 9 is the population count. Oliva only has 6 that have been graded that high while Stargell has 34. So with more copies available I'm not surprised that the Stargell is worth less than the Oliva. And a player's stats do not always equate to how popular their cards are. From a collector's standpoint, I would say that they are both on the same level in terms of interest.

I truly don't understand why Wade Boggs cards are not more valuable, it must be because of PETA, because he ate his Chicken everyday.
