Id never think in a million years and out of all vehicles the panther platform would be imported into other countries im glad people in other countries get to see something like this. As an American and a vic owner myself thank you for showing the people of Amsterdam an American icon. Also 17 euro for a single wiper blade is insane i can buy 2 wipers from Bosch or Rainx for 27 euros here in the states at any autopart store.
Good thing is to buy them from southern states where they don`t salt the roads.Crown Vic`s do have a pretty nice ride for a cheaper car, they`re like sitting on your livingroom couch.
Great video - thanks! Suddenly reminded me that my 2009 GMC Yukon SLT will operate on E85. Ten years ago it seemed all the fashion here in the USA - now it’s almost disappeared.
@@alsodriven I live in Southern California. Though the Yukon was first purchased by my step-father in Texas…it seemed a lot of the General Motors cars during that period were “Flex-Fuel,” but I think most of the folks who used E85 were in the mid-west. My stepfather never used E85 in it (though it was available in Texas).
Thanks for the video. I'm sure by now, you have figured out the / on the fuel cap in the U.S. means E85 or Gasoline. Your Crown Vic will run on both, or a combination of the two without skipping a beat. Believe it or not, in some parts of the U.S. you can still get pure Gasoline in it's finest form.
As I recall the Crown Vic and such were highly utilized because of the unibody design. Though there was also one amusing sidenote about the crown vic fleets: They all tended to use the SAME KEY
For people in the east coast maybe and people who grew up in the 70s 80s 90s, but people born in those decades woild say The Vic and even younger people like me
If those guys thought the corner indicators were cool, imagine if they saw the corner illumination lights that came with the Town Car eheheh. Its the small things that are appreciated.
Im sorry....but i didn't quite get the costs of the replacement wiper blade. Uh....did u say "Seven T-E-E-N" euros? As in 1 with a 7 beside it? Lol. I loved the reaction to the Panther possee in Dam square. I bet everyone gives those cars a second look when they go by. Great video....thank you .
You can run regular 87 octane in it. You don’t have to just run E85. It can run on E 85 but you can definitely run regular gas. If this is covered later in the video I apologize lol
Ethanol is not profitable without subsidies and actually ends up being a net loss environmentally even with the subsidy as you have to use diesel to grow, harvest and transport to the plant (distillery?), and station. Great for racing and just making power especially when paired with forced induction and I'm all for it. Not so great for general transportation use.
@@alsodriven I agree, it lowers the emissions where people are rich enough to afford an ev (and mostly in cities where there is no natural environment to protect) and ruins the environment where they dig up the materials to make the battery, populated by poor people and pristine wilderness. Maybe they should be testing out new technology on a large scale where it will make the most impact like container and cruise ships instead of forcing the development costs on consumers.
Not being familiar with Euros, 17 is about $18. That would buy you two wipers here in Texas. I found we went to England and Scotland, we presented ourselves as "Texans" not Americans and for some reason were received better. Go figure.

"You can totally do this". We don't give tickets for driving in a walking zones here, there's more money to be made in selling wipers to tourists.

Living in the USA, So cool seeing American cars so out f their element.
They are so iconic here. They are the epiphany of US movie and TV culture as there is barely a show that didn't feature them
so cooooool man MASHALLAH great to see the boats in the Dam!
Awesome video. I always find it funny how our old cop cars seem to get so much attention over seas.
They are so iconic
As an American, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I am contemplating what kind of outrageous vehicle that I could drive through Europe.
Chevy silverado or any american pickup tbh. You would take up two lanes

Mid west?

11:44 Luik. Yup that city needs a bypass. By around 100km :P
And the old Reims circuit is awesome :)
Was a cool trip

Brilliant trip, brilliant video 👍
Great trip, Jim! 👏🏼😃
The Vic headlights are very suiting for Amsterdam
Weak?
Great video Jim, good luck with the channel 👍
Thank you!
I owned two of them an 08 all black and a 06 black and white there great fun cars. Love your car keep posting more videos.👍

Panther platforms are all body on frame not unibody.
All of that is wrong lol.
@@will2993 nope, the P71s mainly used the same key!
chevrolet caprice is iconic as too,

Great video and a brilliant trip. Look forward to seeing more of your adventures!
Glad you enjoyed it! We have another euro trip coming up in something completely different next week

But you could say the same about EVs
But at the same time EVs lower local emissions so it's a bit of a win

@@weaselduke we disagree that everyone in cities can afford 50k for a new EV
@@alsodriven Um, ok not everyone, but that's where the highest percentage will end up for obvious reasons.
I live in America and I even own a 2007 ford crown vic
As do I. Just installed new headlight housings and side markers. But for the crappy white paint, it's looking good!
I am from Saudi Arabia and I love Ford cars and I have a silver 2001 Grand Marquis and it is very comfortable
We also have E85 in Sweden 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
Little harder to get to from Kent lol
Man my 06 Lincoln town car only gets 14 miles per gallon with a tune…
Proper V8 cruisers, not your average toy car in Europe.
So while E85 may pollute less, it’s shite for fuel economy - it’s about 25% less fuel efficient compared to gasoline. No free lunch.
We got 34mpg out of the CVPI
@@alsodriven wow. That’s about 28 mpg using US gallons. Impressive for that huge car. Overdrive is definitely the Crown Vic’s friend.

Yeah that's why Jim was so frustrated, it would be a similar price for 2 in England at Euro Car Parts
