These talks by Peter Combs are very valuable. I have a small modest collection. I want to know more. You need to see and touch as much porcelain as you can but for most of us thats not realistic. Peter's talks certainly make up for that lack. Thank you Peter
My name is Ngo Cuong I live in Vietnam I have some Antiques left by my father. Now I want to sell them to Sotheby's I trust you guys I look forward to working with you, Sotheby's is a big international auction house. Now I want to send you some items with pictures and prices, looking forward to the cooperation of Sotheby's Saigon.
I have many images of authentic exampIes, but have never saved a fiIe of copies. It is food for thought though. The basic earmarks for the fakes are however simiIar to copies done with other enameIs. Thanks for the idea. Peter
No problem! Wish I could tour your whole collection!!! I just started collecting about two years ago at thrift stores and have found some amazing (probably modern) examples of Chinese art. I've pretty much mastered many fields of collecting (including jewelry, silver, and coins)... but this is my greatest challenge to date by far.

Hi Peter,
Another great analysis.
Are heap and pile only caused by impurities in the colbalt during early Ming and late period?
Heaping and Piling is one characteristic of some Ming pieces, however the same effect can be found on modern copies as well...Best Peter
Ya 👍. Kata jaman antik proselin jaman dulu sampai sekarang. Jaman berkata langit matahari dan bulan ketahun.......... Sampai sekarang 2020 .

Are thankful ok. Good 👍.
Famille jaune seems to be quite rare even in fake form......do you have a video with modern fake famille jaune?
