@@add-to-carttherapy Either pathway, I believe it is digital (just 1's and 0's) before the DAC chip. Then they are played in analog from the same DAC, with the same result. It's the fact that most streaming are lossy and/or compressed that differs.

The new version has more power and can easily drive headphones that are quite challenging to drive. The bass on this device is surprisingly good as well especially using the 4.4.
Its younger sibling, the ZX507 has a great form factor which is IMHO the sweet spot in pocketable high-quality players. Now is the improvement in sound quality of this (much bigger) flagship enough to justify the added bulk (and double the cost)?
I don’t have the ZX507 l, but I do owned the WM1A. It is safe to say that the NW-WM1AM2 is far better than it’s predecessor in so many ways. The price increase from its predecessor is truly justifiable. Better UI, better sound, better battery life, better screen, and now has a support to streaming services are some of the notable improvements over the older model.
@@add-to-carttherapy Nice. The ZX507 being Android too, has all those convenience features that I need. Only problem with the small form factor is of course the smaller battery. But it does drive my Sony IER-M7, Focal Radiance, and a couple of Sennheisers pretty well. The system-wide EQ is great, so it can drive my HD800 pretty well, too, but the 300-ohm headphone drains battery really fast as expected.

Thank you for the information
wow Great review👍👍👍
What is the line out sound like? Thank you.
The sound becomes noticeably cleaner and fuller. It adds more texture to the low and low mids. It has a warm to neutral sound signature.
niceeeeeone idol keep it up!!! swabe swabe ingat god bless!!!
great reviece keep it up
Its younger sibling, the ZX507 has a great form factor which is IMHO the sweet spot in pocketable high-quality players.
Agree with you. I usually use my DAP for my IEM most of the time. I like to use my headphones on a full size DAC/AMP.
Cool. Looking forward to your Radiance review. Hopefully you can share your thoughts on the Focal paired with the WM1Am2 as well.
That’s a great idea. Thank you
