Unsurprisingly, those rifles are called "lever action!"
I dig them and have a couple!
Cue "The Rifleman" opening credits.
I suppose people need to be at least 40 years old to remember that show at all.
It was still quite popular in the 1970s when I was a lad.
@@jamesleyda365 I have a Marlin 336C in .30-30 that is as smooth as glass.
Also leeeevr gats
a look into a firearm store in Slovenia would be very interesting.
You would love watching Bob Munden and Jerry Miculek. The fastest shooters EVER!
Rip Bob
And Daniel Horner, formerly of US Army shooting team, and now with Sig Sauer.
His teammate on Sig Sauer is Lena Miculek (yes, Jerry's daughter).
Both Daniel and Lena are multiple time IPSC champions. (IPSC is International Practical Shooting Confederation).
Jerry and Lena are the best IMO!!
We have quite a proud tradition here in Texas. I am pleased that you got to see what we are about.
Those are off-road strollers. These events are always fun. You will meet some of the most interesting characters at these events. And everyone is so nice and approachable. And if you don’t know something about a gun or ammo, you will before you leave. I’m from Texas. And me nick name is Bubba.
The lever action rifle was the one you asked about. I got my dad’s lever action 30/30 that he called a saddle rifle. My grandfather won that rifle in a raffle in 1935.
Try some videos of Jerry Miculek. He holds the world record of 8 shots in 1 second with an eight shot revolver...
Very popular here in Nevada. Tournaments frequent.
Bold posting a video about Texas right now, with what’s going on in Eagle Pass. I dig it. Stand with Texas!
Most of us do stand with Texas, but stating it is bold to post a video about Texas sounds pretty liberal to me!
@@lazlo5055hahaha that's what I thought too
He lives in Slovakia. He probably has no idea about what's happening there...
@@DSWilkes You probably have no idea what's happening where you live either
@lazlo5055 You funny. Is this supposed to hurt my feelings or insult me? You failed. I know all I need to know.
I love my lever action.
I'm betting in Texas you would be called slim by at least 3 people 🤣🤣🤣👍
Or Green Horn
i'm a Texan and i call just about everyone one of these names :
Slim
Slick
Big (Boy/Girl)
Jackson
Sparkles
Critter
Sugarbritches
In El Paso, Valencia, and Barcelona they call me El Guapo. I'd love to see a comparison of the shops.
3 amigos
@@JohnLeePettimoreIII Good catch!
TCR has great videos and is a Texas classic I have watched since it first came on. It was called 4 Country Reporter and was local programming for Chanel 4 TV station in Dallas Ft Worth back in the 70s when it first started.
I live Next to New Boston Texas my home in Simms Is just next door not even 15 minutes away. Also that Gun Shop isn't there anymore it's been gone for a few years.
There was a range in my backyard growing up, my father and brother used to compete in various handgun competitions, did a lot of reloading of spent brass, and my brother specifically raised and trained dogs to be utilized in hunting raccoons.
My uncle also worked (works?) for Smith & Wesson at their Springfield Armory in Massachusetts, but he decided to hold fast to his douche demeanor, outweighing any cool S&W perks that may have made their way from the armory to Alabama.
"They forgot to call my name at the awards ceremony" is one of the most Texan things I've ever heard.
I can remember the old days in S. Africa, most of the family owned a firearm, especially those living on farms ect., an old SADF Tiffy, now living among the Everglades, S.W. Florida.
Texas Country Reporter videos are great.
Cowboy Action Shooting is big in Arizona. There is both mounted and dismounted competitions.
Because of my last name (Weatbrook) my nickname from as long as I can remember is 'Weaties'! Love it! So I give myself the gunclub name of Wild Weaties 🤣
i grew up with/around people "named" things such as :
Quiet Tom
Ol' Beals
Skinny John
Red Jim
Crazy Jake
Oakey (not from Oklahoma, but because he was as big and strong as an Oak tree.)
Bandit (taken from the slot machine nickname, "One-armed Bandit" because he had one arm.)
Dooley (yep. we also had a Dooley. he got his "name" because of a popular song at the time called "Dooley" about a moonshiner. and yes, he made it too.)
One of the most famous lever action guns is made by a company called Henry - they have a web page if you can get it from the country your in.
These guys and girls fire thousands of rounds during practice
I've noticed on your family channel your children are becoming more comfortable on camera, especially your daughter. It would be great to see your son and daughter to react to things that are interesting to younger people around their age
the rife with with the lever is a Winchester rifle.
Love this video, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I know on both your channels that you enjoy watching cooking and food in the States. You should check out Cowboy Kent Rollins. He is a modern-day Chuck wagon cowboy chef, and I think you would enjoy his videos.
Some others to check out is Jerry Miculek, Hickock 45 and the Pew view all fun to watch Jerry holds a ton of world records
Lovin' this content. Aloha from very-windy Hawaii 🤙
Are you kidding me. I live in New Boston and have bought several guns there. They are in Clarksville Texas now.
About 15 years ago I went to my first of many 'Cowboy Shoots' in Nevada. I was told I needed to pick a 'Cowboy'
name so I settled on Chance E. Shooter! (just say it fast)
In my defense, the young girl asking me for my name went by the name 'Miss Behaving'!
Good Times!
good vibes good people
Most gun aficionados have some western style pistols and rifles.
I have a S&W 610 Revolver also referred to as Wheel Guns in 10mm. Magnum. While the caliber isnt historically accurate the gun itself is. Oh...and it's made of forged stainless steel.
Also have a Winchester .30 -.30 lever gun which is like the one you asked about.
Thats about all I have as far as legacy firearms other than a double barrel over and under in 12 gauge.
Everything
2:10 could also possibly be golf bag caddies.
Would love to see you show us the local shop there (if possible)!
My alias is Sawmill, I was first called that over 30 years ago.
because you like chewing up some wood? 😃
(sorry, but i love to tease folks. pinching noses is one of my addictions.)
My dad used to compete for fun in NJ.
And that’s why you don’t mess with Texas!
Yea,my name is aliase.
Norco, what memories.
You've had people call you stretch? Stretch Graham is an awesome wild west cowboy name. That's the kind of name of someone you can picture who was part of Billy the Kid's gang...
Laser Quest! "Defender".
You should check out Keanna Reeves running the firearms court !!
I live in Texas and I'm not quite sure what to make of weekend cowboys. My husband cowboyed up in Oklahoma and here in Texas. Then he settled down and became a bricklayer in the plants. Looks like fun, just a little showy with all those spurs that never get used and the chaps in town. Wish em the best, though.
There's also a mounted CAS.
I would actually be very curious to see inside a gun shop in another country!
Hope u feel better soon😊
Raven is my alias 😊
Street name, "Penguino"
Black Knight due to wearing a black hoodie with the hood up all the time...
We're just going to call you Long John. In the good way.
My close friends call me Papa because I am older than them.
Check out the Steel Challenge
Their speed is very impressive, but I always remind myself that they are using under-powered Cowboy Action Loads to minimize recoil and allow them to shoot faster.
U should check out jerry miculek he's a competition shooter and has several world records
Only 2 people used their real name == Roy Rogers and Dale Evens .
Mind out of the gutter?! But I pay rent there! 😉
Odémüs Von Kilhausen is my alias. It's my artistic pseudonym. I sign drawings, and other such things, with it.
Lever action 30/30 is a great hog gun.
Demoman or demo. its from driving demolition derbies.
Check out Dragon Man. Best place in America 🙏
People don't associate cowboy's with California. We probably have more than Texas. We love our guns, rodeos too. Especially in the north.
Kendall gray is hilarious
Viejo loco
