"Leave behind the Springtime days" is about the fact that he/she is leaving childhood; and going "looking for the Summer" is pretty obviously about the child growing up and falling in love.. The line, "Remember, love, how it was the same" is one parent reminding the other how it was between them, when they were young. It's just really clear.
