Thank you for explaining this. I had extreme difficulty with what pastor said and I knew God never told me that his Spirit was feminine. I heard the Word of God from The Father before I learned to read as a child. So once I learned to read the Bible, I knew his Word is truth. Instead of blasting the pastor online, I prayed about it asking Jesus and the Holy Spirit for clarification. Jesus answered me through this video.

You taught us how to study the bible well, and what was said just didn't sit right. I expressed that concern with others in the e-church. But I knew that you would bring clarity and understanding. The Holy Spirit is neither male nor female and yes, the pronoun God uses to describe the Holy Spirit is neutral. The word "ekeinos" (in English the pronoun "He") has two functions. He is used for gender and "that one" (neutral - Stong's g1565). In the case of John 16:13, it is ekeinos neutral and not an error in translation. And as you rightly said, the Holy Spirit has no gender. Ezer is not a gender role. Thank you for being the humble man of God that you are.
