body control module is a generic term for an electronic control unit responsible for monitoring and controlling various electronic accessories in a vehicle's body. Typically in a car the BCM controls the power windows, power mirrors, air conditioning, immobilizer system, central locking, etc. The BCM communicates with other on-board computers via the car's vehicle bus, and its main application is controlling load drivers - actuating relays that in turn perform actions in the vehicle such as locking the doors or dimming the salon overhead lamp.

I have a 2008 saturn vue xe 2.4 liters 4 cylinder my control module is acting up now. I went to auto zone to get a free diagnostic and it said it was my fuel pump and fuel pump low circuit. My rpm keep going up and down not crazy or any thing. Sometimes when I start my car it act like it wants to turn off and sometimes it does but when I crank it back up it stays on.

Frustrating watching this guy struggle with removing a simple piece of plastic. Pull up on the emergency brake and then put the transmission in drive or lower and like magic, the part is EASILY removed.
