The only opportunity Harry MAY have of going back is true repentance, i.e. getting right with God and those whom he has offended. THEN showing fruits of that repentance. If it is demonstrated that it is real rather than a show, people might be more apt to give him another chance.

I wish people would stop asking for their titles to be removed. Think about it - only the Dukedom of Sussex can be removed (by parliament, NOT the King) and if that happens Harry will still be a Prince because it's his birthright and his wife would then be a Princess. My understanding is that Diana did not get stripped of her security on leaving the RF. She was offered security from the RF but declined it on the grounds that she thought they would be able to keep tabs on her.

Harry's principal resident has always been the Montecito home since he moved there, and they had no home in the UK after Frogmore. It was always his intent to live in the USA and visit the UK. But while his security was being litigated he wanted to appear that he wanted to remain a part of the UK, had a home in the UK, and therefore had reason to "return home" in the UK meaning he needed security.
Now that his VISA is under scrutiny and his IPP status denied he flips because now he needs it to look like he loves America, wants to be an American, so don't boot him out, and once again, merely self-serving. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time.
Its about time we stopped treating Harry like he is anything more than equal to everyone else instead of "special". Time to stop feeling a need to be polite but hold him accountable, and call him out. At least that way, maybe he will become a good citizen not the entitled, rude elitist one he continues to be.

@@pinalimon Certainly. It stands for International Protected Person. Security costs for working British royals as IPPs are among the few expenses totally funded by taxpayers.
UK police security and IPP status are not related.
He is no longer a working member of the royal family and is publicly estranged from them. He does not represent the King or the UK Government in any way. By definition he does not, and cannot, qualify for IPP status.
In addition to the IPP status, the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) made a decision, in 2020, to downgrade the level of personal security provided to Prince Harry when he visits the U.K.
The downgrade meant that Prince Harry received less taxpayer-funded protection compared to other royals, i.e. UK police security when undertaking private activities. His lawyers tried to challenge this decision, arguing that it was “unlawful and unfair.”
Whether or not Harry gets official police security in the UK is based on risk. Not his opinion of his risk, but actual risk assessed objectively by qualified people.
The Home Office clarified that while Prince Harry could still have access to some taxpayer-funded security provisions, these would be “bespoke arrangements” rather than automatically provided security detail. He would have to submit his visit plans to the UK where each would be judged on a case by case study as to what the risk level was and security qualifications.
