I love this Game because 1. I used to play GW1 and GW2 a lot when I was young and 2. Its pretty much the only "competitive Shooter" which I can play when I just want to have fun and relax without getting upset or feeling any urge to tryhard.
Usually when you play other competitive Shooters like COD, R6 Siege or Overwatch for example, you easily get upset at something or feel like you need to get better at it as fast as possible and want to sweat even more, learn all tactics, loadouts, Heroes and whatever else. Its often not really something you can actually lay back and relax with if you get what I mean.
GW2 Is totally different for me personally and a very fun and chill experience, no matter how old you are.
It amazes me that its still has such a big Community that keeps the Game alive so even after all these Years you can find full Lobbies and enjoy this piece of Videogame Art.

This game is also very satisfying whilst doing any damage, (I haven’t played in a while so the names could be wrong lol) Silencer pea and just beaming people in the head and seeing the numbers pop up with the headshot sound, hitting along range rocket as the jump soldier, being a dirty chemist/Marine Biologist just dropping people and seeing those big numbers pop up. It just felt good and clean to play, and while sometimes you get hit by something that obviously didn’t hit you, that goes both ways so it never felt “bad” to me. Just felt like very forgiving hit boxes. The game allows any play style to be viable (imo), like there are solid options for everyone. And with the ability mods or upgrades (once again, I forget the actual name) it adds even more variety to the characters.

So many awesome cosmetics, so many cool variants, all without needing to spend money on them, and you can get it all at a fast pace too. The gunplay feels good, the gamemodes are wonderful, and the game is slow enough you can play at a decent skill level without needing to learn advanced mechanics to be good at the game. The visuals look great, and visuals are what convince me to buy a game as well as its gameplay.

the variants definitely needed their own section here, separate from replayability. getting to unlock new variants that play differently and leveling them up was part of what added to the game's replay value immensely, with a very long line of them, allowing players to play almost every class with a variant that suits their playstyle. and then bfn came out and ditched them entirely, which just destroyed so much interest in the game.
though the grinding went on a bit too long, tbh.

I remember playing Garden Warfare 1 on day one, and it was a magical experience. It was a nice change of pace from the COD and Battlefield games I typically played, and it truly was just a blast of a game. I didn't get much into GW2, but did play a lot of BFN. Not the matches, but I played in the theme park area where you could just go around killing randoms, and it was a ton of fun. I really wish they'd make a GW3, with a theme park style thing like they did in BFN. I am going to give GW2 a try, because I loved GW1 so much. It is sad though that these games are probably over with... I have spent tons of hours in them overall. I played as the cactus in GW1, and I don't think I've had that much fun in any other game. The music itself is so iconic, and brings back so many memories... I really wish they'd realize that people loved the GW style games, and if they spent the money making another good one, people would play it, and more so than the old ones, now that social media is much of a bigger thing, and UA-camrs would be showing it. I know they won't take the risk though, so I am sad.

I came back to this game recently since I randomly stopped playing at some point. I remember it was one of the first games I got when I got my ps4 in 2017
Having over 500+ hours played and playing it again reminded me how much fun it is. Still being the first and only pvp shooter I genuinely enjoy playing
It’s also nice people my age also play and enjoy gw2

And honestly we shouldnt have asked for gw 3 the game was fine but ea heard the fans and made a game that died so fast
    I havent played in years.
Was so close to unlocking torchwood and never got a good legendary such as iron brains or toxuc brains

Honestly if theres any updates I’d wish it would be for the quality of life features that were only added in bfn to make it to gw2 as unrealistic as it sounds. Having a chomper that doesn’t rely on cheap abilities, or a super brainz with a turbo twister ability that’s literally just empty space, the more balanced hyper, the way contested turf points work, the very useful overtime bar. Those are just some but I can’t believe they chose not to put those very useful features in gw2 for instead a game that ended up poofing after a year…

Now that i’m 18, I still play on this day playing GW2 after quitting rank games. Yet never bothered about 18+ shooter games due to mass microtransactions and battle passess, absolute steal.

Its crazy how much potential these "silly" games had.
