That is tragic, if true. I do not know this doctor personally or by reputation, but I would hope that any doctor who was experiencing high rates of complications would seriously consider discontinuing surgery (at least until the reason for high complications was addressed).
Unfortunately many doctors are overworked and stressed beyond belief with their patient load and constantly changing government regulations. There's so much paperwork now it's hard to find time to actually care for patients! I'll never be "high volume" by choice - I just enjoy spending time with my patients too much to rush it.
Definitely good advice. I assume it's not a good if your cataract doctor appears drunk or tired on your first consultation, and behaves like a bored teenager? Lol. That has been my experience so far. Hate to name names, but that would be Michael Campion, M.D. He said he did 18,000 surgeries... but I do wonder HOW WELL he did them.

This is true, but Campion in particular, ruined another Dr's eyes, as well as many patients. I have no idea why he's still allowed to practice.
