Truck Driver Training is a lot different from when i did it for CFI out of Joplin Mo in 1998. I didn’t sit in truck while my trainer did all the work. Where my trainer went i went. He made me do everything with him. Just saying!
I delivered to that North Platte DC a couple of times. Salinas Produce . Western Distributing Transportation during Covid. I’m a fuel hauler now. Go to Sinclair or Denver every night. RE that accident : It’s become a disturbing trend with drivers parking on the shoulder of the interstate. Mostly foreign drivers, I guess. That is stupid behavior, for obvious reasons. The liability on the driver that chooses to do so is great. Many times, there’s an off ramp they just passed or 1/2 mile ahead. Don’t be parking on the shoulder, even to take a piss !
Hey how’s it going ah okay yeah I usually go to the North Platte Walmart DC often, fuel hauling awesome how is that does it pay well because I was considering doing the same thing one day local in Florida. Ah okay Sinclair in Wyoming? Where are you stationed out of? As far as people parking in shoulders ramps on ramps off ramps is pretty insane and out of control. I’m just not sure if they are lazy to trip plan or what the deal is. Me I never park on off ramps on ramps or shoulders because it’s too risky and dangerous alot of accidents happen. Like yesterday in Atlanta a guy parked on shoulder of i75 trailer was still sticking in my lane if I wasn’t paying attention or someone else looking at the phone that would have been a bad accident. I always park at truck stops nightly and sometimes rest area if it’s near my delivery but I always choose truck stops since I shower daily and I like amenities and coffee in the morning 😀 as far as pissing parked on shoulder I don’t I use a bottle 😉 😂 saves time and money keep it rolling! Safe travels out there it’s powder time! ❄️
@ I’m based in Rifle Colorado. Western Colorado. Fuel hauling pays way better than OTR. Generally $100K per year. We are hourly. Don’t work for any company paying by the load. That just encourages rushing and speeding.
@ yeah I agree hazmat and tanker usually do pay a lot more. Be safe out there man especially with the snow which I’m sure you’re use to it living in Colorado 🤝
I enjoy all your videos, I think by now you probably know that, LOL. Glad you guys had a safe trip , that was a bummer about the accident. I'm really sorry for the guy's family. When is the next time your family will be riding with you?
Hello Ms Cindy 👋 always thankful for your support since day one 😃 I appraise you watching and yes that accident was very bad that day. My family will be back on the truck in December for the holiday and we plan on taking time off to celebrate Christmas in Colorado this year
Hey Tommy hope you’re doing well out there brother. We were heading to north Platte Nebraska but he’s already been finished with the training he passed and got his cdl. Right now I’m running solo and that’s great to hear man I hope you have a good time off and enjoy home time 🙏 take care ✌️
Great job, driver's! trainee ignore the trolls and hater .most of them are arm chair key warriors. . You're trainer is good! pay attention to him and your going to be fine ✌️
@@grizzlyridgerunner hey grizzly yes sir damn facts 💯 hope you’re doing well. My student trifecta passed all 3 test first try and didn’t even had good sleep the night before because the place held us there 27hrs before unloading and he didn’t have practice before the test either so idk why people hating on him he did perfect I get some people follow trainer around like I did I was a puppy always following my trainer around lost as hell he did good at everything I had him do from bills to live load call and all 👏
With the previous company, did you make a video picking up siding in Jackson Michigan? If so do u remember where you delivered it to? Hope you and the family are doing well 🫡🫡🫡🫡
The company usually gives you a fuel surcharge to use and I just follow it. Seems more efficient and you end up saving a little more weekly on fuel 🤷♂️
@@RunningOTR ok nice. I’m looking to get my CDL here in California within the coming months so some of these videos have been helpful with seeing some of the daily things that need to be done when over the road so thanks for the videos👍🏼
Why does your student do nothing? He is always just riding. He should be backing and bumping every dock possible. He should also be going inside with you everywhere.
Hi trainee here I was doing the arrivals on our macros app and I was doing the annoying app work so I did do some of the walking up with the paperwork but he didn’t record some things that would’ve shown I did but thank you for your comments and concerns
Your student is really lazy. If I were him, I would use the minutes to learn more from my instructor. Just sitting in a truck and playing with your phone doesn't make you a driver.

i am confused.. why not fill all the way at the terminal where fuel is cheaper? you will need it for the next trip anyway right?

Why is the trainee just sitting there?
Why does your student do nothing? He is always just riding. He should be backing and bumping every dock possible. He should also be going inside with you everywhere.
He’s out with a different trainer to do his 30,000 miles I’m taking a break from training for a while
I don't understand why the trainee is just sitting in the truck while you are doing everything. He should be your shadow at the very least

@@aminmosavi6470 I agree 💯
Trainee seemed more interested in his phone than how to back a semi into a loading dock. Lazy!
