Saving app pairs! Let's go! I've been waiting for this on pixel forever and was worried because it wasn't mentioned last video that it was coming to regular pixel phones. Something Samsung has had for awhile now. Happy to see it finally here
i've been using an add on for that volume slider on the right side for years, now i dont need it. i still hate the hepatic fingerprint, when your hands are even slightly wet, or you have work gloves on, the face recog, doesnt always work if you're not directly in front of it in bright light... pixel 8....
I have pixel 6 and this beta 2 version can't let me share anything to other devices. After selecting files, photos on either files by google or google photos, then i proceed clicking the share button, it would then go back to the app homepage. It's a bug so I then proceed to the feedback app to report this but the app itself is also not responding whenever i choose the option to "choose other attachment". My draft feedback would be deleted and the app again would go back to the its homepage
Android 15! Exciting stuff! I want to download it so badly, but I don't wanna risk it on my device since I don't run multiple phones. I may just have to say what the heck and download it anyway lol!
Thanks for the review. Just trying to know if these features will be exclusive to Pixels alone on Android 15 or will other devices also be getting the same once OEM pushes the Android 15 update to respective devices?
A lot of the features mentioned are going to ship with AOSP 15 by default. It's up to OEMs if they want to include it or tweak it (the volume slider) to adapt it to their standards.
@@Pixlewatchtoo oh I don't know, the fact it looks like those worse generic copies of the iOS status bar? Known for their clean and simple look. Like Pixels themselves. ...iOS copy paste android skins are the exact *opposite* of clean or simple. That's why. Don't worry, it's all subjective, "the eye of the beholder" and what-not. No one is saying anything about the Andriod is looking like iOS ?so the visible back bottom is now at the top left and the iOS minimize bar is now the standard on Andriod as well as the app transition wow 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I just got the pixel 8a (after I tried my friend 7a) and I noticed that the 8a still have the old volume slider (from before the march feature drop), while it's on a newer version (may update). It's a bug, or they forgot to change it in the 8a?
The Pixel 8a comes with a variant of Android 14 QPR1. They seemingly didn't think going through the effort to port it to QPR2 (which is also coincidentally one of the biggest quarterly AOSP releases ever, due to the new development model) would be worth it. They will likely properly port it to QPR3 when it releases next month.
A lot of what was going to come with Android 15 actually is in Android 14 QPR2 but largely disabled in the code btw. Quarterly and yearly releases now follow the same development branch. So you can think of each new quarterly release as a further snapshot of what is being developed.
@@GMBHungary Very little of the code that runs on the 8a is device specific. The reason it says it's on the May update is because that specifies the ASB (Android Security Bulletin) patch level, which is independent of the AOSP release. For the 8a they used backports and other patches to get the patch level to May. But the device is missing many important security and privacy patches that aren't declared in the bulletin due to being on an older quarterly release.
Check the build number to identify what release you are on. Android 14 QPR2 for example has AP1A starting at the build number. QPR3 is likely to have AP2A as the beginning branch identifier.
Android 15, like Android 14, is a big piece of garbage, because it seems that the most capable programmers have been transferred to AI, while the worst quality of Android development remains! I have a google pixel 7 pro and when I switched from Android 13 to Android 14 and then to Android 15 beta, calls still drop. So what is the basis and what is called a telephone, you cannot talk normally! There are thousands of posts on google support forums about this problem from Australia to Africa to Canada and they can't solve this problem! At least give part of the code around the call to be copied from Android 13!
Saving split apps is the most exciting part!
So many things Samsung already had for years
When is magic editor dropping to older pixels?
