At 1:08 the moon picture you see two flashes in the sky towards the top left!!! Probably just satellites or something, still was like wait what was that?
I knew that someone must have caught this. The track's original title was "Lunatic." Then it was called "The Dark Side Of The Moon" while they were playing around with it circa 1971. Then they changed it again (to "Brain Damage") for the album in 1973. Read all about it on Wikipedia. More useless pop music trivia to pass the time with. ⏳
Did you know that the near side of the moon (the side facing us) never truly gets dark? That's because the Earth never moves in the lunar near side sky, so just like we receive moonlight, the moon's near side sky receives Earthlight which is even brighter due to its larger size.
Here’s another thing Full Moon The Earth's only natural satellite. It is a barren, heavily cratered world, lacking liquid water or an atmosphere. It was explored at first hand by the American astronauts who traveled there during the Apollo program landings of 1969-72 and has been extensively mapped both from orbiting craft and from the Earth. Tidal forces have ensured that the same side of the Moon now always faces the Earth, apart from the minor effects of libration. As the Moon travels round the Earth in the course of a month, it undergoes the familiar cycle of phases. The Moon shines only by reflected sunlight; the proportion of the sunlit side visible from Earth depends on the relative alignment of the Sun, Earth and Moon, which changes continuously over the Moon's orbital period. Mare Humorum The terrain on the nearside falls into two basic types: the heavily cratered, light-colored highlands ( or "terrae" meaning "land"), and the darker, more sparsely cratered maria ("seas"). The maria have roughly circular outlines, a relic of their formation in the early history of the Moon by the impact of large meteorites. A further type of surface terrain is formed by ejecta. Significant areas are marked by material ejected from the large Imbrium and Orientale basins. The way the Moon formed is uncertain, but it has existed as a separate body for around 4,500 million years. The most favored explanation is that it was created in a giant impact event when an asteroid collided with the recently formed Earth. Evidence from the Lunar Prospector mission suggests that the Moon has a very small core about 700 km (450 miles) in diameter, consistent with the impact theory of its origin. Early in its life the Moon became hot and molten. As it cooled, the crust formed but it was heavily cratered by the impact of large numbers of meteorites, the largest of which created the mare basins. These subsequently filled with dark basaltic lavas. Significant volcanic activity then ceased, at least 2,000 million years ago. The farside of the Moon differs from the nearside in that it lacks any large lava-flooded mare areas.
I'm deeply intrigued by the potential of Helium-3 as a clean energy source, especially given its abundance on the lunar surface compared to Earth. The idea of utilizing Helium-3 for fusion reactions excites me, as it could revolutionize our energy systems with minimal radioactive waste.
The military had plans for detonating nukes on the moon. A saber rattling tactic. They believed that the soviets would be intimated by such a display of power. Of course saner minds prevailed. And the more it was thought about. They came to the conclusion. That nukes on the moon would be insane
Very true. If I was a young man trying to figure out what to do w my life, I'd look into nuclear energy. I believe Helium 3 is going to create the first trillionaires someday soon
I enjoyed watching this video but one thing wondered me. Somewhere at the beginning it is said that the Moon does NOT have an atmosphere at all. However, later in the video few comments were made saying there is an Moon atmosphere. It is important to stay consistent during the whole video.

The moon does not rotate at the same rate that we do on Earth. The reason only one side faces us is because the moon's rotation time on its axis is the same amount of time it takes to orbit the Earth. It's called being tidally locked.
Actually the moon does not rotate on it's axis at all. One side is more dense than the other, therefore Earth's gravity plus the moons gravity keep the "heavy" side facing "down", in the direction of the gravitational pull. The moon has no "axis".
@@timhallas4275 wrong . If you walk around another person and wether or not that person turns round and round and you face only in one direction that person in center will see all sides of you
@@timhallas4275 Wrong, buddy. The Moon revolves around the earth every 27.3 days. The Earth rotates while the Moon revolves around it. It is not stationary as you suggest.
@@robertothayer5123 I never said the moon is stationary. The Moon does not "rotate" on an axis. It has no axis. It orbits the Earth with one side facing the Earth because that side is heavier. @timhallas4275 The moon most certainly does have an axis, a simple search will provide plenty of legitimate sources, including NASA, explaining this basic concept in detail.
The particles on the lunar surface are incredibly sharp due to lack of moisture to wear down those particles. Just another reason why man will never occupy the moon nor Mars. Mars, for different reasons but man will never permanently live on either one.
Your video has so many inaccuracies. The moon being in tidal lock isn't because the moon spins on it's axis at the same rate as earth. The earth spins at around 1,000 mph at the equator, where the moon only spins at 6 miles an hour. The earth wasn't hit by an asteroid, resulting in the formation of the moon. It was hit by a planetesimal. The reason we see the sun change color in our skies is because of the angle at which the sun light reaches your retina of your eye. Go out at noon, block the sun with your hand or tree, and observe the color of the Sun. It's not yellow. Your video would be that much better if you do thorough research.
Venus, Mars and our moon demonstrate that the goldilocks zone appears to be but 1, small thing that can make a planet habitable. All of these bodies are within our sun's Goldie lock zone. The moon in particular, it is all but in the exact same spot as earth, and even within earth's magnetic field. At the very least, tempratures on the moon seem like they'd be higher than they are just due to physical location. Its at this point we realize a stable atmosphere might very well be a bigger factor than location.
Fun fact for those too young to know life before Pink Floyd, we learned about the dark side of the Moon when we learned that the Earth and moon were tidally locked, before Pink Floyd were a thing.
Technically, at any given moment there is always a dark side of the moon. 50% is always dark, it's simply a different 50% throughout an orbital cycle (with the exception of a lunar eclipse). It's just that we don't see it that way from our perspective here on Earth.
11:09 The video shows the space shuttle while talking about scientist astronaut Harrison Schmitt when he was concerned about breathing in moon dust during the Apollo 17 mission. The lunar lander’s name was Challenger, so I’m assuming the AI pulled a picture of “Space Shuttle Challenger” instead of the lunar lander “Challenger.” It also shows Earth beneath the shuttle, which is correct since the shuttle never went to the moon- because it can’t.
Apollo 17’s lunar module was called “Challenger”. That’s different that the shuttle “Challenger”, but you know that, right? The shuttle came along more than 20 years later.
Moon ofcourse receives sunlight in all its part. But we here in Earth can see only one side as Earth and Moon are tidally locked with each other. So don't say that other half of the moon is always dark, that happens only when a planet gets tidally locked with its parent star.

An actual fun fact, there is no Pink Floyd song called dark side of the moon. It’s an album. The video got it wrong too so I’ll give you that
There is no dark side of the moon... matter of fact it's all dark. Take that Pink Floyd fan lol!😂
@@jackpepin2421Gosh, such a Debbie Downer. Not enough hugs from Mom and Dad growing up, geez.
keep your kilometers!!
Again, I usually enjoy your videos and find them informative, but the explanation regarding the creation of the Moon should have been more researched and better explained than this. "A big chunk being thrown into space by an asteroid" is very very far from what is the current most plausible explanation being shared by many astronomers. And yes, their theory does explain why the Moon ended up being a sphere. Please do the leg work correctly instead of just pushing out as many videos as you can. Better go for quality than quantity.
The "music" is distracting. Am I the only one who hates it?
Moon didn't come from earth but created by God on day 4th😎
What If Mars, Mercury, Pluto, Eris, Sedna, Orcus, Ceres, Vesta and Venus were replaced by exact copies of Earth 🌎🌍🌏?
Like identical copies of Earth right now complete with all the pollution and plastics in the ocean? Or like before humans showed up to ruin this perfect biosphere?
@@lillyanneserrelio2187 All before Humans evolved and came to existence. I'd like to see what would happen in this or those scenario(s).
the collected dust from the moon came from earth, it was a fake Mission that's why they found the same isotope!
"Volcanos on the moon" sounds like it would be a cool name for a song, tho i have no idea what could it be about.
I have heard all this , already , on the internet . There is much you could have added... by reading a book , or two Sorry , Im kind of bored of the same oft repeated old same old. A Good production though .
The moon was parked there by aliens 👽
Is not a object
When the video get the most basic fact wrong in the first twenty seconds, it’s an instant no. Clickbait trash
it never got any better
Only a fun fact if our victims, who when finding themselves at those crossroads, willingly chose to either come into regular close contact or indeed endure hours/months or years even of prolonged and unprotected exposure to the worst of all El Diablos tricks and methods to get at our children.... ROCK and or ROLL.... 😎🤘🤘🤣🤣
Crazy man the facts ain’t facts

Far side of the moon
Far side of the moon.
I bet you Bigfoot lives on the moon
Bigfoot lives on Uranus😅
wow this is bad
"Dark Side Of The Moon" is my 2nd favorite Pink Floyd song, right behind the epic song that is "Animals".
What’s a Pink Floyd?
@carlbush32: They were a 1970s pop band/group.
Point of interest. Apollo 11 never went to the moon. How could the crew have brought back rocks?

Thanks for watching!

Mankind's greatest achievement will be when we FINALLY walk on the surface of the Moon 🌙
Man has walked on the moon . Don't know how one would miss that 🤔
We (that is - Humans) have already walked on the surface of the Moon, in 1969, June. Remember the Apollo 11 Mission Did Actually happen, you know.
@@Morganstein-Railroad I'm talking the real-deal. Not a sound stage on some backlot at Universal Studios or in the Arizona desert.

No, you've got your history wrong, most notably the chronology of events you related. "The dark side of the moon" was in English literature before there ever was a rock band named Pink Floyd.
