Ouch. It took me 8 years to beat the original game, haha. (I played it completely blind) It was the first VC game I bought on the 3DS back in 2011 and I finally got around to beating it because of announcement of the remake
Fgc 123 the game is about 4-6 hours. You can obviously spend more time just walking around figuring out puzzles, and admiring the world and the music but the game isn’t long and the Owl makes it super hard to get lost
If this game eventually gets a price drop, either from being on sale or an eventual Nintendo select, then I’ll definitely pick it up. Like a lot of other people, I think the $60 asking price is too high.
I'm gonna torture myself. Until Nintendo eventually adds online uploading due to massive requests for it, c'mon we all know Nntendo is gonna update this game with online chamber dungeons at some point.
I believe the chamber dungeons is a test run. If it’s a big hit (which seems to be the case) then they want to do a whole separate LOZ dungeon maker game, like how the did with Mario Maker. That’s when they’ll probably make online dungeon sharing available. Please correct me if I’m wrong, I just remember reading about this prior to Link’s Awakening release.
Are you being serious? I like this game, but it's not a 60$ game. I have the old one on 3ds and I'll be fine with that. You guys are reading way too hard into this. Chill out.
Simon Harrison yeah I agree, this game looks absolutely gorgeous, but $60 dollars is just way to much for me. BOTW makes sense for the price but this certainly doesn’t to me.
Yeah I cant get over how adorable Link looks in this game, and I appreciate it for how the design is in it and I cant wait to pick it up today. It's nice to meet you and beautiful nails as well ❤
People complaining the games length are flawed in their thinking of the 60 dollar price. All the COD games have 5-7 hour long campaign modes. End of story. Not to mention that 11-13 hours for a gameboy game with a modern aesthetic? How do you NOT want to buy it; especially if you enjoyed the original gameboy version 25 years ago? I myself place links awakening up with BotW, OoT and Twilight princess as my favorites in the entire franchise. THAT'S how good this game is. To those who haven't played the original and want to play an excellent Zelda game, do yourself the favor of picking this one up if you can.
The only things that puts me off about the game is the price. Nintendo shouldn't be charging 60$ for a game this old (I know it's a remake and it has new features but still)
Why not, though? What is it about a game that determines the price? People say "it's a remake." So does that mean the price comes from original ideas? This is still a game... while they had a lot of the design ironed out, they'd still have to do all the work to re-create it in 3D. So it's basically like re-making a whole new game. If this game doesn't warrant a $60 price tag, what does?
ThatOneGamer64 no they can complain look at the new fire emblem game voices for everyone great cut seens over 100 music tracks and it’s only 60 dollars well I agree they put a lot of effort it’s not worth 60 30 at most
@@GoldenMushroom64 Clearly you have no concept of these things called "opinions". You also have no idea how economics work, as everything has a perceived value based on the value of similar goods and services. If something offers less than similar things on the market, it should be priced accordingly.
My favorite gameboy game by far but Nintendo is pushing it with pricing it at $60. It would've been a must have for $30, everyone would've gotten it just because it's Zelda.
@@senatormarrero Nintendo is stingy. The most it will go down is by 5 or 10 when there is a sale. Maybe by the end of next year lol funny but it's true
There were other recurring Zelda characters in Link's Awakening, kind of. It introduced the owl and started the pattern of Marin and Tarin, which showed up again in some form or another in at least a few later games. OoT had Kaepora Gaebora in the role of owl guide, and Malon and Talon. TP had Malo and Talo. I'm sure there are more but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. There's plenty of precedent for repeating characters in the series, so I don't think throwing in Dampe is that odd.
This game looks great and I'm sure it's fun (I've never played the original) but the more I hear about it, the more I regret preordering it. Nothing I hear justifies the 60 dollar price tag .
the quality of the writing, story and creativity of the world should alone. it’s one of the best Zeldas, and this is coming from someone who only just beat the Gameboy game.
Just think about it that way, that you pay the same amount of money for different kind of games with different amount of content. If every game would cost as much as it has content, games like BOTW or Smash Ultimate would cost like 200€...what matters in the end, is if you have fun. And LA is definitely a great game (though I agree the 60$ aren't that nice).
@@Ray_2112 I think everyone has their own opinion as to how a game's price should be determined. For me, generally, it's the amount of game development effort. New super mario bros delux switch port required very little effort. It was a port! So 60 dollar price tag is crazy. Link's awakening is a one-to-one remake. I don't care if it's bursting with charm! I don't know why people think charm should determine price
@@maggiecelentano9927 If the development effort is what decides it for you, there is a huge difference between Link's Awakening and the NSMBU Deluxe port. LA might not be a new game, but it had to be remade from scratch and took a much longer time to develop than NSMBU which was just a simple port. Furthermore f.e. Majora's Mask 3D took longer time and effort in development than the original.
If I were going by ExoParadigmGamer's Remake or Rebreak rules, I would award this a Remake score for obviously looking better, fixing the item management, and a few number of other fixes and additions. I can't award this a Replace because it didn't add as much as they could have, as well as the performance problems, but this is still the definitive version of Link's Awakening by some distance. Is it worth $60? Probably not, but if you fall into the crowd who doesn't want to pay that, you can always wait for the holidays for sales.
I think it looks fantastic, but I can't help but feel they are overcharging for what still has the level design of a Game Boy game. No diss on the Game Boy, I love the system so much, but on the Switch you expect a lot more.
@@O1OO1O1 What do you mean like what? What more do I expect? Level design that isn't from a Game Boy, or if they decide to continue with it, at least make it $50. It's like Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee which also was a 1:1 remake retaining the same old design.
No. Not saying I don't want the Oracle games remade I just don't want them looking super realistic, not every game needs have a realistic art style, the closest I'd be fine with is something akin to Twilight Princess which added a few details to the environment while still retaining that Zelda feel.
@@solidneptune6423 At the same time though, i'd rather not have another top down Zelda. They still outnumber all Zelda games in the series and I feel like a better look into a remake of a gameboy(colour) game would be to lift all boundaries. Talking artstyle, maybe more of an attempt to make it look like the artwork for the game. Seriously the oracle games have fantastic art, i'd love to have the game look like that. Ricky would be soooo cute
I guess what I'm trying to say is that the style has to fit and since the Oracle games since they take place with this Link, this art style could work or another one, like wind waker,BOTW or A Link Between Worlds. To me a super realistic art style like Resident Evil 2 remake or the Yakuza series doesn't fit the Zelda series in my mind.
I fully agree about Ballad of the Wind Fish. It's my favorite Zelda song, and filled with nostalgia for me. It was also the first ever music level I made in Mario Maker 1.
My dad had the OG link's awakening on Gameboy colour. I remember playing it a bit as a kid. Now I preordered the game for my little brother who's a big Nintendo fan. So this game is kinda a family legacy and I like that. Hope he'll have fun playing it
Just not worth (what I thought was already too high £40 but is actually...) £50! I will pick this up whenever it goes on sale. If they remake the two Oracle games in the same package for this price I'd happily pay £50. But for this smaller, single game with only QOL improvements, a half-assed Chamber Dungeon and the removal of (one of my favourite things about the game) the photo shop I can't justify this price. No way. But I really question the removal of the photo shop, especially in HD it would've been something to take advantage of the hardware. Why remove it? The Chamber Dungeon does not replace this as it doesn't fill the void that was left, and it literally could have been placed anywhere in the game. So I can't really even go for this remake on faithfulness alone. Just a bitter-sweet remake for me. It is what it is, and what's there does seem well polished and entertaining, but that price is outrageous. I think it's exploiting fans since they're really the only people going to be buying this game; I'd imagine any newcommer would hear about the game's length and that'd be an immediate no from them. The visuals might win some new players over but not at full price.
There’s *one* other reason to revisit the CrainGame in the original: Marin gets to completely *TROLL* the guy. - ...sigh...no photo mouse. Guess that means those cutscenes are completely gone, too. It was less about printing photos, more about the silly shenanigans and occasionally viewing the photos when you felt like it (And...I’ve honestly never been bothered by Item Swapping? But having various items be designated buttons now so Always Out? Yeah that’s nice. Finally a use for the shield vs dodging with the directional pad.) - Also...the real reason why LA didn’t have “reoccuring characters” is...because their characters are the ones to reoccur in other games. Owl, Marin, and Tarin all return as (can’t ever spell his name) then reimagined as Malon and Talon (with Indigo entering the mix) in OoT. Tarin/Talon and Indigo are the Mario Bros-inspired, while Marin flatout looks like Zelda (and shares the same sprite in the Oracles) buuut...gets a seperate design in OoT/MM than OoT Zelda. The Witch is also from LttP, so definitely reoccuring (then showing up again as Syrup in oracles (for a terrible MapleSyrup pun), and Irene’s Grandmother in LBW (which, Irene’s essentially Maple. Although neither show up...unless Crazy Tracy was supposed to be Grownup Maple? Idk.)
I honestly feel like most people in the comments are just young and can't really appreciate more simplistic games, in an industry where everything is getting bigger and bigger. I want this game to sell well because I desperately need a new 2D Zelda.
Agreed. Also a lot of people are gonna wait for a price drop for this game but First Party Nintendo games never drop in price Lowest I've seen them brand new is $50.
I truly dislike when reviewers brand older titles with negative marks because of technological limitations or in game mechanics. The original title was a huge leap in the right direction. The gameboy only had 2 buttons. You can discredit it for mapping items the way they did. This was a time when tiger handhelds were the alternative. It isn't fair to say "it wasn't as good as I remember"... it was most games then had dedicated attacks without options. Zelda wasn't perfect but it was first attempt at portability, that in mind it was a massive success.
Dampe isn't the only recurring zelda character present, the owl is there too. Also, you CAN play through the level on the same screen as you arrange it, you need to click on the center of the entrance room. The amiibo limitation is ugh. Links Awakening is as good as you remember, you've just grown to hate the limitations of its console because of how much systems have improved. I had really high expectations for this remake and I am pleasantly surprised with how much its met them. I could go on and on about how much I love it, but I'll say there are only a few things about it I can complain about: - Dampe's system has a lot more potential than they fleshed out. If they had made it so you could choose where chests and locked doors and enemies go, separate from the room placement, it would be amazing. I would really like to see it get more detailed like mario maker and be able to share levels online or with some serialization code. - While i like the smooth transition between most screens, certain areas require a loading screen, like entering a house. These loading screens seem oddly long. -There's this odd blur at the bottom of the screen that is kind of annoying but can be ignored. - They slightly changed the ballad of the wind fish and I kind of like the original more. The original synth patch vs the voice, and instead of going to the highest pitch part, which was my favorite, they play it a few octaves lower, which is a little bit of a bummer. Its definitely not bad though, maybe I'm just too nostalgic. Other than that, the game is damn near perfect. I love the convenient changes with the boots, shield, bracelet. I love the art style and most of the re-orchestration of the music. The dungeons are faithfully recreated, and the mechanics feel mostly the same (there is a new diagonal axis though for some things). They really captured all the great things in the original, while bandaging out the annoying parts. I will probably always play this over the old DX version except when I want to specifically feel how it was. The washed out colors of the old one give a certain vibe i might like to revisit now and then, but for a serious play-through, this is just straight up better. 10/10, nintendo. Thank you! In regards to the length, I think its pretty good. I never found link to the past to be much longer. If you want to complain about a short game, play The Minish Cap. I loved every minute of that game, but there weren't many. Also your video kind of spoils a couple of things, specifically with the trading sequence and being able to see someone you shouldn't.
I think the original Link's Awakening holds up fantastically. I just played it last month for about the 20th time. The inventory stuff was unavoidable on a console with only two buttons, and really isn't that bad at all.
Hope they do the Oracle games in a similar style. But as a single game where you can just choose which adventure to do first. Because charging full price for them individually really doesn't sound like a good time to me. Given they're also both quite short.
Thanks for the review!!! But I can't shell out close to $90+ CAD for another brisk day one game for my daughters!!! I'll have to wait for a highly discounted sale on Black Friday or Boxing Day!!! I guess the girls can borrow the game off of a friend and get a taste of it that way!!!
The hype around this game has me asking, "Am I the last sane person on Earth?" I look at this and see what looks like one of the sub games within Nintendo Land. I'm not saying I don't see any appeal, but it looks like a minor project and casual time waster, but not something to get all excited over. But I guess you can slap the name Zelda on just about anything and generate hype.
@@ressljs What the hell are you even talking about? Slapping the zelda name on this has nothing to do with it. It's a remake of a game that is well loved. People are hyped because they know the game is good. If you think this looks like a nintendo land mini game then you are truly an idiot.
@@tetermc It was a much loved game on the Game Boy in 1991. It looks very basic by 2019 Switch standards. A less extreme version of how the name Zelda gets a game a pass was Twilight Princess HD for Wii U. I may have loved that game if I played the original in 2006, but when I got it on the Wii U after reading glowing praise, I was surprised to see poor camera controls, poor controls in general when in wolf form, and just dated design overall. Granted, it was ten years old by then. But the same critics that said it was still A-OK weren't afraid to call out other remasters for showing their age.
@@michaelmayers3622 or at least a 3ds game, since A Link Between Worlds has the same aesthetic in terms of the way it looks. But I got to say, Link is adorable in this version.
I’m thinking about getting this game because I want to get more into Zelda after playing BOTW. Also, I’m still baffled by how vastly inconsistent Nintendo fans’ attitudes towards remakes are. Like this one seems well loved so far but the Mario & Luigi remakes got so much hate even though they’re great too.
It’s charming but way too short and simple for the price tag. At over $90 Canadian I want at least 100 hours of playability or it’s frankly not worth the money.
I think they should’ve made this a bundle of multiple portable Zelda games with the same engine. Kind a like how crash and Spyro remastered all three games in one package. Links Awakening, oracles of ages and seasons, and minish cap in one package would’ve definitely been worth $60
It'd be nice if just once Nintendo added a substantial amount of content to a remake/remaster, but it's been years, and we keep buying their remakes regardless of their quality, so nothing will change really.
Why is this a problem? Time spent in game and graphics don't dictate how much a game is worth. You pay for the quality and the experience and Link's Awakening is arguably a better experience than Breath of the Wild in many ways.
@@CrashDunning I'm sorry but saying this is a better experience than BotW sounds almost like an insult. People really forgot how good the game was in two years huh.
I played BoTW all day today, and yesterday after starting a new file, I've easily spent 100+ hours on BoTW but I'm gonna say this I think Link's Awakening, as well as MOST other Zelda Titles are better than BoTW for the simple reason that, you don't have to CONSTANTLY worry about losing your favorite weapons, each weapon has a unique purpose other than fighting, and the PLETHORA of different enemies scattered throughout each Zelda game. In BoTW there's like a total of 20 to 25 total enemies not including color swaps or elemental swaps.
@@Micfal No it just means you overvalue how new and technologically impressive games are when there are much more important things than that. I'll bet you've not even played Link's Awakening.
I like short games so much more than long ones. Playing Breath of the Wild would never come to my mind, but this one was an instand buy for me! And it was absolutely awesome! (I never played the original. In fact the olny Zelda game I played was Link to the Past).
Jesus, there is no point of comparation. Enormous open world =/= a top down action adventure game. Of course it won't kill the game, but it's still bullshit that they can't get a game boy game to run properly.
Welp, can’t wait to explore Koholint Island and discover the mystery of the Wind Fish once again! This time, in HD!😎(And with adorable toy visuals.) Some people might find it hard to justify spending $60 on it, but imo a game should be judged based on its quality, not on its quantity. And this’s game looks to be an impressive and faithful reimagining of an amazing old game that they built from the ground up, gave an entirely distinct visual style and a beautiful instrumental soundtrack. So in that vein, at least for me, it’s well worth its price tag, especially if you’ve never played the OG game. Of course, not everyone will feel the same, and I myself will be waiting ‘till Christmas to grab it simply due to how cramped Nintendo’s release schedule is for the Fall. So if the price is really the deciding factor in your purchase, then I’d recommend doing the same. Or if your b-day is before then, even better!
As someone who loves the original, I'll be getting this. Itd be nice to have a new game plus, where you start out with all the items but everything is remixed to accommodate. Just an idea.
@@MrFrost009 So was Resident Evil on GameCube, which added new story elements, new rooms, new puzzles, etc... A simple Donjon Maker mode that doesn't even allow you to play other people's creations easily doesn't justify the price imo.
The original is my favourite handheld Zelda. I got it for my 6th birthday. I really can't do $80cdn (+ tax = ~$95 where I live) though. I'll just play the gameboy version again.
Looking at the clips from the side scrolling segments makes the need for a ground up redo of links adventure. The redo that no one asked for, but the redo that all is Zelda fans so badly need in our lives
This should have included the Oracle games. On its own it can't justify the full retail price, but including 2 other games (which would be easy to remake since they would run in the same engine) would make this more like the Crash N Sane trilogy, which was priced at $40 and included 3 games which are all newer than Link's Awakening.
I feel like the chamber dungeons are on of those things that feel terrible for reviewers trying to get through everything in a short time, but is fine for people who buy the game and can just hop into them when ever over a long period of time.
Heh the one second framerate drops post transition are the modern version of the wierd music distortions that happened when you left Zoras domain in OOT.
I was born 90 but I didn't play my first game til 94 (Super Mario World and then Link to the Past), a year later I got my first game system N64 with Super Mario 64 then Mario Kart 64 after that. Then a red Gameboy Pocket with Pokemon Red in 96 I think was my first hand held game
Link jumping looks insanely strange in the sideview platforming sections... Feel like they should've done a seperate animation for it. Excited anyways of course lol
"Unlike certain other games in the series (Twilight Princess) you'll explore, get your sword and shield, and find your way to the first dungeon in a matter of minutes." You take that shade right back and redirect it at Skyward Sword. Its tutorial is literally like 5 times longer than Twilight Princess's.
You know. I never really tried to get into the Zelda series. It didn't seem like something I would be too interested in. Heck, I didn't even get BOTW. But I MIGHT start with this game to ease myself into this series.
Well, BotW was completely different than other Zelda titles. So yes, you should play a classic Zelda game like Link's Awakening to get into the franchise.
If you have a 3ds or Switch online try playing Ocarina of time 3d or A Link to the Past on Snes online. Those are great games to start with if you're new to the series.
I put in 360 hours into _Zelda: Breath of the Wild_ and had no regrets doing so. However, I was definitely ready to move on, and not look back. I already played this on GB, but I'm told they also have the 2 extra dungeons from the GBC version, so I reckon I should bump this higher in priority.
So growing up I was a sega kid master system the genesis along with game gear sega cd you get the point. I didn’t play this Zelda on my gameboy color so I’m excited to play and it will be fresh
Even if maybe a couple brand new dungeons would’ve been nice, I’m happy with the length of this game. So many games are massive nowadays and require a lot of your time, I’m happy this one will be a reasonable length and may even encourage me to replay it a good amount of times.
I thought there were some questionable music choices, like the dungeon boss theme, the "Trouble!" theme (like when Bow Wow is dognapped), and dungeon 3. While I think the remixes could have been better, or that the originals *were* better, altogether the game seems like a great success.
"Now do Zelda 2." FINALLY, someone else agrees! That aside, I do agree, this game is very worth playing. I'm unsure of it being worth the full $60 (maybe 40?), but the game is a preservation of one of the best handheld titles in Nintendo's history, and it should be played (and re-played) for that sake alone, honestly.
The eastern warp point in Tal Tal Heights is super helpful for Hero Mode, since there are fairies there, which you can bottle up, though of course, this is late game already.
You can actually start dampes dungeon creator right after you make it by selecting the entry of the dungeon I'm not sure if it's much use though considering that the dungeon building kinda sucks :(
"and even late game dungeons barley exceed half an hour" I remember turtles rock taking 4+ hours but thats probably because I accidentally skipped the fire rod and ran around the first section of the dungeon forever like an idiot
I beat DX this week. I got stuck in that dungeon for about 3 hours because I couldn't find the breakable walls. I couldnt believe they put secret doors in the main course of the dungeon. I feel it's way more difficult on the Game Boy versions than the remake.
I'm kind of holding out for future updates or DLC for this game. I love the original and I'm hyped as hell to play it, but I was hoping for more changes to make the game longer. I feel like if it sells well enough (or maybe if it doesn't) it might incentivize Nintendo to add on to the game with new dungeons, new stories or whatever. It's unlikely, and I'll enjoy it either way, but still, I would really enjoy new things for the game in the future.
There might be a way to fix the Frame Rate issue...sort of! Check out our tech analysis for more:

That’s when they’ll probably make online dungeon sharing available. Please correct me if I’m wrong, I just remember reading about this prior to Link’s Awakening release.
Love seeing you do reviews, Jon.

All we need left are the twilight princess, windwaker HD ports and ocarina of time, majoras mask 3ds ports to the switch.
50% of my hype is because of this being the second Zelda on Switch and a perfect 2d, classic, musical compliment to the modern Breath of the Wild

Yeah, that’s kind of an insult to all the work and money that went in to Botw.

Simon Harrison yeah I agree, this game looks absolutely gorgeous, but $60 dollars is just way to much for me. BOTW makes sense for the price but this certainly doesn’t to me.
I can't get over how gorgeous it looks. The visual aesthetic alone makes the game more attractive for first-time links awakening players. Love it!

Nintendo shouldn't be charging 60$ for a game this old (I know it's a remake and it has new features but still)
Walmart sells it $10 cheaper. Either way, gaming has always been an expensive hobby.
Just wait for a sale. (Lmao, a sale from Nintendo)
No. You’re just an entitled brat. Anyone complaining about the price is. Shut up.
Yea man! 60 bucks for a 8 hour game not digging too much
They know the die hards will pay $60 and then they'll lower it in a few months to get everyone else. It makes sense but it would be perfect at $30-40
I highly doubt there will be a price drop anytime soon.
@@Atticus1ag yeah. Maybe they'll drop it to 45-50 around 2020 Xmas.
I'm on board with a Zelda 2 remake. It would pretty much be Zelda's take on a Symphony of the Night-styled Castlevania. :D
This game looks great and I'm sure it's fun (I've never played the original) but the more I hear about it, the more I regret preordering it. Nothing I hear justifies the 60 dollar price tag .
It's only one of the best topdown adventure games ever made, no big deal right?
the quality of the writing, story and creativity of the world should alone. it’s one of the best Zeldas, and this is coming from someone who only just beat the Gameboy game.
Probably not, but if you fall into the crowd who doesn't want to pay that, you can always wait for the holidays for sales.
this kid is unironically reviewing the game before it's out
I think it looks fantastic, but I can't help but feel they are overcharging for what still has the level design of a Game Boy game. No diss on the Game Boy, I love the system so much, but on the Switch you expect a lot more.
Like what?
@@O1OO1O1 What do you mean like what? What more do I expect? Level design that isn't from a Game Boy, or if they decide to continue with it, at least make it $50. It's like Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee which also was a 1:1 remake retaining the same old design.
“Now do Zelda II.”
Or, have Capcom redo Oracle of Seasons & Ages in the RE Engine.
No. Not saying I don't want the Oracle games remade I just don't want them looking super realistic, not every game needs have a realistic art style, the closest I'd be fine with is something akin to Twilight Princess which added a few details to the environment while still retaining that Zelda feel.
@@solidneptune6423 So another game or games in this style. They have great engine.
Solid Neptune just remake the oracle games in this engine
If I’m being honest I’m not that big a fan of Zelda, but I’m very excited for this
Same!
Growing up I never was either. BOTW brought me around though.
I was always a zelda fan and this game doesn't excite me the slightest..

Definitely beats Napoleon Dynamite guys voice and Derek's weird way of saying "on". "Ooaan".
-
...sigh...no photo mouse. Guess that means those cutscenes are completely gone, too. It was less about printing photos, more about the silly shenanigans and occasionally viewing the photos when you felt like it
(And...I’ve honestly never been bothered by Item Swapping? But having various items be designated buttons now so Always Out? Yeah that’s nice. Finally a use for the shield vs dodging with the directional pad.)
-
Also...the real reason why LA didn’t have “reoccuring characters” is...because their characters are the ones to reoccur in other games.
Idk.)
"Now do Zelda 2" YES PLEASE!!!!
OG Links Awakening holds up really well, even with all the menus. For the 4th game in the series and first on a handheld it's a work of art
I still think Link's Awakening DX is one of the best in the franchise despite its limitations. I think it's way better than ALTTP and OoT.
My only complaint is the saving. All buttons at once BS
@@ZerogunRivale "better that ALTTP" shots fired.

As much as I loved the original it's still literally 1mb worth of a game with a new gloss coat, they could've at least priced it a bit better.
I wish the game had more animated cutscenes.
I could go on and on about how much I love it, but I'll say there are only a few things about it I can complain about:
- Dampe's system has a lot more potential than they fleshed out.
Putting your name as "ZELDA" In all caps still gives you that groovy remix and l love and appreciate that so much.
Hope they do the Oracle games in a similar style. But as a single game where you can just choose which adventure to do first. Because charging full price for them individually really doesn't sound like a good time to me. Given they're also both quite short.

You weren't alive when the original came out? Man I feel old...
Would buy it if it was 50% cheaper. How is it as expensive as BotW?
Why is this a problem? Time spent in game and graphics don't dictate how much a game is worth. You pay for the quality and the experience and Link's Awakening is arguably a better experience than Breath of the Wild in many ways.
Iz too much for me too
@@CrashDunning I'm sorry but saying this is a better experience than BotW sounds almost like an insult.
Some people might find it hard to justify spending $60 on it, but imo a game should be judged based on its quality, not on its quantity.
