Why did that train ride story sounded like it came straight out of a creepypasta like someone was about to get killed

Link's awakening was the first game i ever played. I learned to read playing that game as a 4 year old. It holds an incredibly special place in my heart. And is to this day the standard of what it means to be a good game to me.
I’m so happy this game is finally getting the attention and recognition it deserves. Zelda would not be what it is today without Link’s Awakening!
For real
i would imagine a remake of Oracle of Ages and Seasons.
I would take 10 copies :D
I wonder how if Capcom has any say in that
I'm not so sure how that would work since ages and seasons are two different games.
I'd imagine the third game being realized this time around
I really hope they remake both Oracle games - especially if it reuses this new art style for Links Awakening. The Oracle games don't get nearly enough love. Plus I think it'd be super cool if they brought back the password system like the originals had too. I loved scribbling down those codes.

ps:if you want roms go to archive.org. (the page is dmca protected.)

My first Zelda game! So happy it is being remade!
I remember the slide puzzle in skyward sword as a make your own dungeon type of puzzle that I enjoyed chaining as many rooms as possible together.
It’s like a puzzle within a puzzle.
Once you managed to reach a control panel while your current room is in the dead center of the whole dungeon, it can be quite easy to rotate all the other rooms around you until the room with a Triforce is lined up with you. At least that's how I did it on reruns
44 seconds ago? Don't mind if I do

You lead up that Williamson Train story like they were about to deadass discover a train murder mystery and you blindside me with a happy ending what the hell man i didnt even finish
Who in here has The Legend Of Zelda Link's Awakening game and share your experience about the game after the release date?
Link's Awakening is the first game I ever played and finished.
I saw my cousin get a GameBoy for his birthday one year and little me was fascinated. A few months later, I got a GameBoy of my own, along with a copy of Link's Awakening. (My mom just saw the name Zelda, was under the impression that you played as her, and thought her daughter would enjoy playing a female character. Keep in mind, this was the mid 90's. Video games were still seen as "nerd shit.") I loved the game, especially since, as a kid living with abusive grandparents, LoZ: LA, at first, served as an effective escape. But the more I played, the more I loved it. (Plus, that ending stuck with me for quite a while and is one of the reasons that I still love games with thought provoking story elements.) By the time I was 10, I had acquired quite a few GameBoy games, as well as a Sega Genesis.
If not for this game, I might have never discovered my love of gaming. I'm now 33, with a PS4 and a DSi. But I will never forget the awe and happiness LoZ: LA brought me when I was just a kid in elementary school, looking for a way to deal with all the shit I was going through.
Amazing, I never imagined that there could be a connection between Zelda and Twin Peaks, I'm a big fan of both.
Link's Awakening is the best Zelda game ever made. Where some of the other games might be more impressive or have more intricate stories there is zero fat on Link's Awakening. Everything is so tightly designed and polished with virtually no real flaws in it's design and pace, I truly believe it's the most objectively good Zelda game.
I'm happy that Link's Awakening was officially moved to after A Link to the Past. Because it never made sense it being after Oracles (despite the boat reference), because it was a different Link (Oracles Link has a Triforce mark) that met Zelda for the first time at the end, lol.
Wow that's stupid. Why let non journalist on the train if you won't give them the prize. That's racist? Sexist? Something like that without a name I can think of ATM.
Nobody was getting the money for themselves, anyway. It was going to the winner's choice of charity.
"..where they found Williamson.... Fast asleep"
why
why would you do that
Its just an excuse for Nintendo (king of re-selling recycle content) to bring up a nostalgic effect that affects our wallet by buying a game many of us have played and beat many times.
Don't forget the micro transaction disguised as a plastic toy as well. Bare bones effort for a full priced release is a joke. The Spyro/Crash/Shadow of the Colossus remakes show exactly how much Ninty are gouging their fanbase.
5:00 his tone here legit made me think the guy was dead
It's unbelievable how this amazing game was on the Gameboy. Nuts.
I remember getting a game-breaking glitch in the 7th dungeon as a kid. It really pissed me off.
I didn’t know there was a game breaking glitch , I have beaten this game like 10 times , and never have gotten something like that
You mean the glitch where you need to destroy four pillars in order to continue?
That sucks..
That was Miyamoto's nightmare
@@GabePuratekuta Yup! Something went wrong were one of the steel balls needed to break the pillars in order to progress vanished. I was so pissed I didn't pick up the game until I got the DX color version many years later.
Now, wouldn't be great if Nintendo decide to remake Oracle of Seasons and Ages?
I wonder how its main feature of connectivity would work: the main draw is depending on which game you play first determine minor moments in the 2nd game while also sharing passwords to unlock a few bonus items
I'm so glad Link's Awakening has a surprising amount of fun history and impact on the series, I feel like I'm one of the few people who really cares about it :')
Hey, the remake is one of the highest selling switch games.
5:10 WHY DID YOU SCARE ME LIKE THAT
I remember there being a rumor back in early 2018 about a remake of Link's Awakening for the 3DS with true open world map...looks like it ended up being the remakw for the Switch, or it was just a fake rumor/lucky guess.
Oh boy am I excited for the remake - the original was my very first handheld video game, and I LOVED it. my hopes are high
For everyone playing the Remake..Do play the Gameboy version, to see where it came from..And how amazing it STILL is
The idea of people making their own dungeons in a Zelda game dates back to the original game, The Hyrule Fantasy, where it was a scrapped concept that you could make your own dungeons and then show a friend and watch them play the dungeons.
Fun fact: Because the development team (aka the afterschool club) was working on Link's Awakening under the radar, and that official art for Zelda titles-- up until Ocarina of Time -- had been outsourced to animation studios, a person from Toei Animation factually contributed to the game's production.
Miyamoto: Item duplication... wrong warping... clipping through walls... no!!!!
*wakes up*
Oh, it was only a dream, it's okay...
Ocarina of Time was the very first Zelda game I'd ever played due to a friend owning it, but Links Awakening was the first game I'd ever owned. I really should have known that LA inspired a lot of OoT
“We’d do our regular work during normal work hours and then work on it...like an after school club activity.”
Imagine loving your job that much, no wonder these guys became legends.
Milk the hot cow/topic.... But damn that was a Big fish.
At 6:54 Eiji talks about Nintendo asking him to make a new IP, I wonder if and when we will ever find out what that could be! It makes me excited!
"Miyamoto has nightmares of gamebreaking zelda bugs"
Oot / MM speedrunners: whaddup
The dungeon arrange mode is meaningless and unfun. Other than that the remake is wonderful. A new industry standard.
That would be sick if it played like a regular 3d Zelda game it would have been a crazy change. But its probably for the best didnt
I remember playing this game back when the 3ds eshop first launched back in 2011 it was the first game I bought from there that was when the ocarina of time remake came out
Twin Peaks be touching everything i like
