OMG I made this cake yesterday and it was SO. GOOD. I let it sit overnight to blend and the whole thing is a creamy delight. I might try and use less sugar next time (as it was quite sweet for me) but truly amazing. And I'm so happy because there are so many things I can't eat due to an egg allergy.

That's a tough question, both frosting are pretty good. But maybe more on the sour cream. I find that both frostings is soft and smooth, and it's not so sweet, well balanced with the taste of sour cream/yogurt ☺️

Looks extremely yummy,I see that honey is one of the main ingredients. I would really like to try this cake but can we skip/substitute honey? I really don't like the smell of honey actually....pls suggest
If you don't like the boiling of honey, just add the water and sugar and butter. But eventually you still need to heat it up until the butter is melted. This part is somehow the authentic way to caramelise the sauce for this cake. I'm not so worry about it because it's not an excessive heating or boiling. The whole process the from honey to butter only took couple of minutes including the on and off heat. So it's not quite an excessive heating. Hope this helps

Hi Rakesh. One suggestion is to chill it for one or two hours before cutting the cake. The cut will be much cleaner when the cake is properly chilled
