You know I did it kind of as a joke but I could see trying to bring up the production value a little bit with close-ups and good lighting for an enjoyable ASMR
Love your videos and learned a lot .. quick question What is a good angle to sharpen a hunting knife at and also a correct angle for fillet knife for fishing.
Yep every other video I forget to mention what the grits are because I do the same thing over and over again. Cubitron p120 Trizact a30 Felt with 3u emulsion
I mean this is the nicest way, but it didnt even look like you were trying! Especially with the stropping step. I watch all of your videos so I know your method is legit, but I still don't understand how you can achieve those results with so few passes. I also sharpen edge leading using the same method on a 1x30, using cubitrons and trizacts, but I require many more passes on the 600 grit and strop to achieve lazer sharpness. I can get them extremely sharp, but to get the burr completely removed, it takes me more passes. Things for me to ponder 🤔
I think it's time for me to circle back and show under the microscope exactly what's happening at each step so people can really understand that there is no burr being left behind but a toothy edge or not if I choose
so cool never thought I'd be enjoying knife sharpening ASMR!

Now we all want to try and sharpen all our kitchen+ Knives in under 8 1/2 minutes. But not that dang good, but Cliff is so we know it is possible :~)
So, who won?

I would do a hunting at about 17° and a filet at about 15°
Great job. Please let us know how your angle guide is coming along
I’m working on it. It will be out soon.
Hi, did the first two belts run edge leading?
yes with a fixed angle guide in place to minimize the danger
Chuckling. Do your reps translate into my muscle memory?
Nope
It’s just a little motivation to get you going…hopefully!
You're a wizard, Cliff...
...and the grits were?

hey! what angle are you sharpening at?
Usually it's about 15° on the guide but that can be in reality about 17°

@CurryCustomCutlery That would be awesome. I've watched your previous videos with the microscope analysis, but maybe another one would help 😄
Hmmm i assume you were going to polish the blades like your normally do in your shorts lol. I demand a recount
haha....this is totally my "edge leading 3 step " normal...
No upper nut on the angle guide, eh? Interesting...
I have the bottom one locked down extra tight and sometimes the top nut gets in the way of things
