Awesome landing! You were full throttle the whole flight man. Love the Chipmunk! Only thing is Kevin, your camera man missed your take-off. You should probably fire him. LOL 😂 kidding. Great video.
Very nice airplane the Super Chipmunk with the DLE 20 RA. You fly super well and are a great pilot. Hope you can have long fun of this model. What's this a fantastic fun hobby, right?
This plane does fine with an OS 1.08 or similar "close to .90" motor. It's actually very challenging to try and maintain a more scale air speed. Putting more engine up front can upset the balance and/or increase wing loading to upset how this plane flys. I enjoyed mine for years before losing it to a servo stall on a dive where I forgot to throttle back because I had not flown it for a while. Be careful about stalls with all of that speed.
I had the Airborne Models with retracts and put an OS 91 four stroke. It flew nice with that engine. I traded it to a friend and he ended crashing it doing low dumb aerobatics. I still have another Airborne Models NIB but this one is the fixed landing gear version.
I am going to build a cg chipmunk this winter and am considering the same engine or a valley view rc 20 cc was it difficult to get the engine to fit in this plane ?
@@FLYRIGHTBoys stock muffler ot pitts style.I am getting the same plane and want to setup it ip with the dle or valleyview rc 20 and would love to see how you did yours and how you mounted you engine and components/This will be my first gas plane
Nice Kevin .... I have always liked the Super Chippy and the DLE 20 pulls yours with authority!

I have the same plane but i have a 15cc in mine and it pulls just fine plenty of power for stunts.

Yes having a great time in this hobby and I love this chipmunk it is a great plane
thats a professional landing and a nice looking Chipmunk ... now that real question is do you still have it lol
I tried a ST. 90 and realized the airframe could not handle it . The vibration was too much amd not much more in performance either ?
Very good!!!
Good job Kevin!
I miss mine. Wish I could find another one.
I have same plane with .65 glow... love it..
She flies good, what does that mean, really?
It's made to do aerobatics, slow it down and do low knife edges down the runway or something impressive. If you want to go fast get a faster plane.
