When I was six, I started to study this first holy book of the bible. Since this book is dealing with PURITY, the small pupils of the Orthodox Jews started with it at that age. Matter of fact, I understood nothing of it. Only six!!
This section is complex.
God can only connect to the highest possible thought we can have. Those that are trained to constantly think on such a high level cannot live in lower thought. Those of a lower thought cannot maintain concentration long enough to fully understand the message of God. The levites worked for God and the people as intermeaderies.
On the deepest level, mankind is thought that acts outwardly.
We project our thought outwards to the world we see. We use Gods energy to do it. The energy accepts being used so can be used in a good way or a selfish way.
In reality, we are thought that extends itself by life and death. We experience our thought by interacting with other peoples thought. We then act out our thought in the thought that was projected by our ancestors. We believe what the world outside tells us. We then have a thought loop which is almost impossible to escape from. Segregating a section of society to break its connections away from the outside world, allows better communication. The people must look after those who work on behalf of the people. This is why it is important not to project outwardly in a false way. It perpetuates pain and conflict.
Imagine a plasma ball. The energy extends outwards from a central point and connects and disconects like lightning. Imagine a plasma ball within a plama ball. God's creation is the big ball and we are the small ball within. The light within extends outwards. The light holds thought information which lasts a short time and is replaced by another stream of energy. In reality we are at the point of emission and act life out in the ball. The light from the larger ball attaches to the small ball and saves our thought. The purpose is to break the small ball open so that the light
comes only from the large ball and returns only to the large point of emission.
God would be happy if the small point of emission extended into the large ball. This would mean our thought would be directly within God and not closed off due to the fall of man.

The book of Leviticus says a priest must be without blemish. A preist is not allowed to have a broken hand.

The Bible talks about a prophet of God whose name is Ahijah. He happened to be blind.
Priests did have wives and children. I did not know that!!!!! Always thought they stayed single/celibate.
What is Leviticus chapters 21 and 22 really a portrayal of ? Most will look of them as being just of the priestly roles and their being clean under the Mosaic Law covenant. But the roles of the high priest and the priests who served under him, are prophetic, picturing the role that Jesus Christ (as the high priest "in the manner of Melchizedek", Heb 5:10) and the 144,000 "kings and priests" must serve as members of God's heavenly Kingdom (Rev 1:6, KJV; 7:4), of being "holy", just as God, whose name is Jehovah (see Isa 12:2, KJV) is holy.(see Lev 19:2)
For example, the high priest must take as a wife a virgin, never having married, "he may not marry a widow, a divorced woman, one who has been defiled, or a prostitute; but he should take a virgin from his people as a wife. He should not profane his offspring among his people, for I am Jehovah, who is sanctifying him.’”(Lev 21:14, 15)
At 2 Corinthians 11, the apostle Paul wrote: "I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy, for I personally promised you in marriage to one husband (Jesus Christ) that I might present you as a chaste virgin to the Christ."(2 Cor 11:2)
At Revelation 14, the apostle John saw this: "Then I saw, and look ! the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who have his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads........These are the ones who did not defile themselves with women (or the false religions of the world called Babylon the Great, who is called "the great prostitute", see Rev 17:1, 2, 5; 18:2, 3); in fact, they are virgins. These are the ones who keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes."(Rev 14:1, 4)
On the other hand, those in Christendom who profess to follow Jesus are NOT clean, but have done as James wrote: "Adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God ? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is making himself an enemy of God."(James 4:4)
How many in Christendom are not in some way involved in the world of politics, "touching the unclean thing" (2 Cor 6:17), either through a "hand" of physical support, voting for their candidate, running for political office, endorsing this or that candidate, for this or that political policy, such as supporting the Ukrainians in their war against Russia, even protesting for or against a certain "law" (such as abortion rights), or just mentally giving support, perhaps quietly, with the "forehead" at Revelation 13:16 ?
How many support the Trinity, hellfire, immortality of the soul, the cross, purgatory, a clergy-laity class, feast days, Christmas, Easter, Halloween, birthdays, hiding God's name of Jehovah behind titles of "God" or "Lord", religious titles such as Reverend, Monsignor (meaning "my lord"), Pope, Cardinal, Bishop, Archbishop, Father, Pastor, etc ?
The high standard of being "holy" in Jehovah's eyes is a standard that Christendom cannot attain, for Jesus said: "Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door (to everlasting life), because MANY, I tell you, will seek to get in but will NOT be able."(Luke 13:24)

In English, God's name is Jehovah, with the letter J coming into the English language in the late 16th century C.E., and of which English is a derivative of Latin (as one of the Romance languages or languages derived from Latin, such as Italian, Spanish, French, etc), using all 23 of its letters, with three more added, J, U, and W, over time.
In Hebrew, it is יהוה. In Hebrew transliteration, it is transliterated or vowel pointed in six different ways in Hebrew as (1) Yahweh, (2) Yehowah, (3) Yehwih, (4) Yehwah, (5) Yehowih, (6) Yahowah. Even Hebrew scholars are divided as to which is more accurate. So which do you suppose is the right pronunciation ?
The name Jehovah in English has been in use since the 17th century C.E., with the publishing of the King James Bible. Some people are so focused on the name Jehovah, saying that it is not accurate, and misses entirely what the Bible teaches, with its theme at Genesis 3:15 and Matthew 6:9, 10.
Well, that maybe true, but there are some 30 names in the Bible in which Jehovah's name is incorporated, such as Amaziah's mother Jehoaddin, that means "Jehovah is Pleasure" (2 Kings 14:1, 2; 2 Chron 25:1), Jehoahaz, that means "May Jehovah Take Hold" (2 Chron 21:17), Jehizkiah that means "May Jehovah Strengthem Me", to name a few.
Are you going to say that these names are also inaccurate, that they should be "rewritten" just because of your strong feelings against the name Jehovah ? The name Jehovah is well established, accurate or not, but that is not the important thing, but rather its learning to know Jehovah as "the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ".(John 17:3)
Many though are doing as Jesus told the Pharisees: "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites ! because you give the tenth of the mint and the dill and the cumin, but you have disregarded . These things it was necessary to do, yet not to disregard the other things. Blind guides, who strain out the gnat but gulp down the camel !"(Matt 23:23, 24), making a big issue with minor faults while swallowing down or missing the real understanding of the Bible, "the weightier matters of the Law, namely, justice and mercy and faithfulness".
Perhaps you remember William Tyndale (c. 1492-1536 C.E.), a fearless man who sought to make the Bible available in English for the common man of England, but which the Catholic church fought against him, burning him on a stake for doing so.
In the introduction to his Pentatuach in 1530 C.E. (before the letter J was incorporated into English), he wrote: "Iehovah is God’s name . . . Moreover as oft as thou seist LORD in great letters (except there be any error in the printing) it is in Hebrew Iehovah."
Voting, educating yourself in politics has nothing to do with loving this world or touching the unclean thing, we all should vote , this is a God giving right, but the lust of the eyes and flesh is different . We must sanctify ourselves, walk with Christ. We are not saved by our works, our rightousness is as filthy rags, we are made rightous by the blood of Jesus. We will never be good enough, only by the blood of the Lamb. However we must walk in the light as He is in the light.. God must be first in our life.

When a person is involved in the political system in any way, either by voting, giving it a "hand" of support or just by mental or verbal backing as with the "forehead" (Rev 13:16), they are "touching the unclean thing", for the realm of politics is called "a wild beast" that is murderous and was created by God's archenemy, Satan.(Rev 13:1-4)
The apostle Paul wrote at 2 Corinthians 6:14-18: "Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have ? Or what sharing does light (of Bible truth) have with darkness (of falsehoods as the religions of the world called Babylon the Great push, Rev 17:5, of the deadly, dirty and divided house of politics that pushes nationalism and destroys genuine love) ?"
"Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Beʹli·al ? Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever ? And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols (such as worship of "the state", the realm of politics) ?.........."
"‘Therefore, get OUT from among them, and SEPARATE yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and QUIT touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will take you in. And I will become a father to you, and you will become sons and daughters to me,’ says Jehovah, the Almighty.”
So, voting did NOT come from God, but from Satan, who created from the "sea" or restless, agitated masses of mankind, the world of politics that does nothing but keep people angry, with this group against that group, in which Isaiah 57:20, 21 identifies the "sea":
"But the wicked are like the restless sea that cannot calm down (always angry, agitated, never satisfied with "government"), and its waters keep tossing up seaweed and mire (political rhetoric that divides people, keeping them in state of being upset and wanting "change"). There is NO peace,” says my God, “for the wicked (realm of politics).”
For example, early Christians refused to serve in the Roman army, in both the legions and auxilia (or reserves), considering such service as wholly incompatible with the teachings of Christianity. Justin Martyr, of the second century C.E., wrote in his “Dialogue With Trypho, a Jew” (CX): “We who were filled with war, and mutual slaughter, and every wickedness, have each through the whole earth changed our warlike weapons,-our swords into ploughshares, and our spears into implements of tillage.” (The Ante-Nicene Fathers, Vol. I, p. 254)
In his treatise “The Chaplet, or De Corona” (XI), when discussing “whether warfare is proper at all for Christians,” Tertullian (c. 200 C.E.) argued from Scripture the unlawfulness even of a military life itself, concluding, “I banish from us the military life.”-The Ante-Nicene Fathers, 1957, Vol. III, pp. 99, 100.
In The Rise of Christianity, by E. W. Barnes, 1947, p. 333, it says: “A careful review of all the information available goes to show that, until the time of Marcus Aurelius [121-180 C.E.], no Christian became a soldier; and no soldier, after becoming a Christian, remained in military service.”
In The Early Church and the World, by C. J. Cadoux, 1955, pp. 275, 276, it said: “It will be seen presently that the evidence for the existence of a single Christian soldier between 60 and about 165 A.D. is exceedingly slight; . . . up to the reign of Marcus Aurelius at least, no Christian would become a soldier after his baptism.”
In A Short History of Rome, by G. Ferrero and C. Barbagallo, 1919, p. 382, it said: “In the second century, Christianity . . . had affirmed the incompatibility of military service with Christianity.” In Our World Through the Ages, by N. Platt and M. J. Drummond, 1961, p. 125, it said: “The behavior of the Christians was very different from that of the Romans. . . . Since Christ had preached peace, they refused to become soldiers.”
In The New World’s Foundations in the Old, by R. and W. M. West, 1929, p. 131, it said: “The first Christians thought it was wrong to fight, and would not serve in the army even when the Empire needed soldiers.” In “Persecution of the Christians in Gaul, A.D. 177,” by F. P. G. Guizot in The Great Events by Famous Historians, edited by R. Johnson, 1905, Vol. III, p. 246, it said: “The Christians . . . shrank from public office and military service.”
In The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, by Edward Gibbon, Vol. I, p. 416, it said: “While they [the Christians] inculcated the maxims of passive obedience, they refused to take any active part in the civil administration or the military defence of the empire. . . . The mark of the beast has nothing to do with voting, honoring our flag, ect. mark will be given to those that are not sealed by the Holy Spirit. the unclean thing means to be a separate people chosen of God. yoked with unbelievers, sexual immorality, worship idols, lust of the flesh - eating from the devils table - this is the unclean thing. Defending our country in war is not wrong and again voting is our God given right, You are not understanding scriptures correct. Are you a Jehovah witness ?, Are you a born-again christian, cleansed by the Blood of Jesus Christ because this is the only way to be reconciled to God..The church will be called out before the judgement of God.

Yeah, like love thy god and thy neighbor is no longer for Christians..... somehow it's true, Christ never founded any Christian religion, He IS all about restoring the lost relationship with the Most High Father, restoring what's being lost for millennia now. And also in the "new testament" he affirms the law and the prophets, another name for....."old testament". Modern Christians should read Mathew 5 and the book of Hebrews carefully.
Just a little hint, when he comes back with the new city, the law will reign supreme. No place for lawlessness aka sin.
