- This has been nailed to the wall of a garage for probably over 30 years (maybe...) but now it's here, in my front room! If it's any good, it will be my new demo carpet, especially for the older machines, but for now, we need to see if it will clean up or fall apart!

Kirby can pull out amazing amount of dirt. It's quite amazing what it can do without super stiff brushroll. Oblique style brushroll is designed to agitate really well without damaging the carpet.
Great test Sam and a great bit of carpet!my mate had that same carpet down in his 1970s house- offered to give me some for testing then never did!
I have acquired some new test carpets as well. Thicker pile but full of dried pet stains. Loved your use of multiple vacuums. 👍
Excellent, I hope their full of grit for you! I do need to shampoo this and I do have a plan for it too, need to find all the bits though...

Nice to see you started with a Kirby and finished with a Kirby. That was a lot of fluff that came off
I was surprised at the amount of fluff tbh! I filmed on it yesterday too and it made the inside of a 612 bag orange again! The Kirby demo thing is just so handy for things like this to show easily! Did they do demo things for the newer Kirby models? (not that it fully matters, it's an excuse to keep an older one about!)
Beko1987 yeh they did a dirt meter for G3 onwards , I have one I use and I used to use when I sold the G3. I have noticed on mine though that when you shampoo newer carpets it does release a lot of fluff after. The wool one I use in my videos is terrible if i shampoo it . As it takes about 10 mins of vacuuming with Kirby to get excess fluff off. Not to impact on vacuum pickup tests .
I love Kirbys. Their a no nonsense vacuum which deep cleans and remove a LOT of crap.
Yup, it's one of the reasons I chose them! That and I've got no refurbished hoover seniors about to use... For now!

It feels so much better for the new bag! It's full of grit now though...

And well you should! And it's a good job you did because I had a feeling it would do well. It's the perfect carpet for it, the exact same carpet the Hoover was designed for, hence it picks it up and beats it through. It's going to be where I demo all the older vacs now I think! My ikea rug has too dense of a pile, and the vacs hit a brick wall on it, it happens in loads of videos, I usually grab the soft deep pile carpet just to get some flipping trackmarks! I'd best get some more neon sand I think...

Kirby is great but it will kill your back.....it weighs alot.
Gotta see this after using the fluffer/shampoo. That Sentria II really did beat its arse.
I haven't got any Kirby shampoo left annoyingly, otherwise I would! Need to find a stock of it in the uk
