    The mere mention of Roundup Rodeo BBQ reminds me of this story I heard about a group of thieves who discussed their plans to rob a BBQ restaurant, but one of them pocket-dialled 911 and the dispatcher heard everything. To make things worse for them, the local police chief was in the restaurant eating ribs when he noticed them outside after receiving a radio call about the planned robbery and, after finishing his meal, he intercepted them in the parking lot!

    We just got back from a 6 day park trip to disney world and thanks to DFB and Allears and Mamoth club we were able to have an unbeatable disney trip! We rode EVERYTHING except 4 rides we didn't want to ride.(triceratops, mad tea, kali River and alladin) And many of them we rode twice or even 3 times. Saw fantasmic and many other shows and overall had the best trip possible
    Thanks for all the tips and tricks!
    There is one tip we were hoping could be brought up, certain stroller locations will close we encountered it twice at our magic kingdom day and it stressed us out as it is our lifeline. We even had a tile on it so we could find it.
    But as parents knowing which stroller locations are subject to close do to fireworks or park close would be extremely helpful.
    Thanks again for helping with all the magic!

    We tried Rosa Mexicano last week for the first time and were very impressed. Both the service and food were excellent! The table side guac is delicious and we all tried various combinations of the enchiladas. All were great, but my favorite was the duck confit with mole sauce - so delicious! Drinks were on point (and very strong!). Overall we thought this blew any other Mexican restaurant we've tried on Disney property out of the water. It's so much better than either of the restaurants in the Mexico pavilion (by a huge margin) and also much better than Frontera Cocina in DS. We can't wait to go back the next time we are in WDW.
    I'm really excited to try Narcoossee's on our next trip. We've always wanted to eat there, but haven't made it yet. That scallop / gnocchi dish is calling my name 😎.

    Narcoossee’s is at the top of my list of restaurants to try. I’ve only been to DW once and only did quick service meals. This year my husband is going for his first ever trip and we’ll be there on my birthday. I am bound and determined to have Narcoossee’s for dinner that day. I love scallops and lobster and I cannot wait till next month when I can finally start booking some meals!

    I was disappointed in the changes to the desert menu at narcoses no more crabcakes no more crème brûlée . and I was shocked to find out they do not have a separate fryer for french fries. So if you have a seafood allergy, you can’t eat the fries. It my dads favorite restaurant

    I have to agree that Round up rodeo BBQ is fun... but it just won't meet your expectation (trust me no matter what your positive expectation would be). From the quality of the food and the whole experience... it's just not that right.

      I love “immersive storytelling”, but this restaurant is way to stimulating for me. I’m not sure if all kids could handle this all-encompassing, clashing vividness.

      @@birbluv9595 sorry my English is not very good but I try to understand and feel what you said. I think you are sort of saying this restaurant is a little bit like a kids' version of a nightclub? Do I get your feeling right? If so then I think I understand what you are saying, and I couldn't agree more. lol

    • @birbluv9595
      @birbluv9595 11 місяців тому +1

      @@johnnyhan3170 not really, Johnny. I’ve never been inside this restaurant, but I’ve seen lots of video blogs (like this one) about it. I see big colorful paintings and sculptures and things all over it, with nowhere to rest your eyes. I’ve had problems as an adult with such environments being overstimulating (I think my brain can verge on epilepsy) and making me want to escape to the outside. I’m thinking that maybe a child (or adult) on the autism spectrum couldn’t handle this either. So I thought I should comment that not everyone might be comfortable in here.

      @johnnyhan3170 11 місяців тому +2

      @@birbluv9595 Oh I see what you are saying! That's right I totally agree. It's a bit overstimulating (for us), so I guess loving this restaurant or not is highly dependent on personal interest. Plus, I saw some of the Google review mentioning the services are unsatisfying, I didn't particularly felt there is anything wrong with the service (pretty much you can get the service you expected for a $45 dining option)

      Best choice: Wait a couple years. But....
      OF COURSE bring your stroller to the parks! Yes they will rent you one, but being in the same stroller will be a better experience for everyone.
      And OF COURSE bring a sun shade and/or sunglasses for both eye and skin protection. Use sunblock but pretend you didn't! Even with sunblock don't spend too much time in the sun.

      We took our newborn last year. Best advice we got.. use the baby care centers! They are amazing! There’s one in every park. The baby care centers are super clean and have everything you need. It’s so much better than taking your newborn in the public restrooms.

      I dont have experience but i think it would be good to consider if it would be better to book the nicest hotel possible when the momma and newborn could enjoy the resort amenities most of the time and just the older kid and the other parent go everyday to the parks and like having just somedays when the mom go with the newborn to take photos with the family together and the mom do some of the things she wants in the park(ride etc) and being ready for the mom to go early to the hotel with the baby and leave the older kid with the other parent if its needed.

    The Cake Bakes second location in Carmel, Indiana blows the Broad Ripples location out of the water! Its hands down princess central! Beautiful!! Also the sandwiches there are just meh and way overpriced, me and my mom go there for the Chicken Velvet Soup and a slice of cake. Once u have that soup, u will want it all the time!!! Its a copy of the L S Ayers soup, a high end department store back in the day in Indiana.

    Honestly, none of the new options are my thing. I've looked at the menus and I'd much rather go with some tried and true places. I do like the Rosa Mexicana menu, but it's a bit pricy. We did love Akershus when the kids were little, though. We always did lunch there because my picky eater wouldn't eat any of the breakfast foods they serve (no, he won't eat eggs, bacon, waffles, hashbrowns, etc.) and they had pizza at lunch. It was a solid option back then to get to meet the princesses, but now that the kids are older, we don't need to do that and the menu isn't a strong enough draw. I wish they'd reopen 1900 Park Fare!

    Round up Rodeo was cute but a one and done for me. Food was just aight, but plentiful...and atmosphere cute...service not so good. I would save your money and do a legit disney sit down meal. BBQ is quick service food really. Cinderella Royal seems like a rip off that parents are forced into because their little princesses want to be in the castle.. I would avoid that one. Save your dollars for another character meal, Chef Mickey or Hollywood and Vine...

    • @summergirl2023
      @summergirl2023 11 місяців тому

      Most people in the US don’t tip at quick service and coffee shops. Unfortunately, some businesses are now asking customers for tips when you go to check out, basically so they can justify paying their employees less hourly pay. Most people here are annoyed by this, and don’t tip at these locations. Typical tips at sit down restaurants are between 18 and 25%.
