- With the recent news that Chicago's Chaz Ortiz has officially joined DGK, we knew that it was high time we revisited his 2014 Battle Commander. Since Ortiz isn't from around here, filming for his BC required several time-zone-hopping flights to Los Angeles; then, once we turned the lights back on, he was always down to film a few more projects before stowing his carry-on in the overhead compartment and flying back home. Ortiz has always been in it for the long haul, and we can't wait to get him back in the park!

I started in 95' and Chaz has that butta steez as we would say. So good stomps every trick. One of the best styles I've seen, everything is flawless while dropping hammers 🔨 🔨 The back side 180 nosegrind heelflip out was so steezy and you don't see heelflip out as much as a kickflip. Thanks Berrics for keeping me sane and going during these crazy times.

The skateboarding community owns this guy the respect he always deserved. Although he's been shredding since young age, there was always so much hatred surrounding him. At this point, I'm super hyped to see people showing some real love and I hope this guy gets the coverage he deserves. Keep shredding Chaz!
