Nice watch. Cannot for the life of me figure out WHY the steep price. Seems like it should retail at sub $300 and sell all day for $249...just my 2 cents...
Thanks for the feedback. A little background of our story. When we launched Jack Mason back in 2015, we started the business in all the major department stores as a wholesale business and scaled the company to sizable 25 employees, proper infrastructure, etc. Back in 2020 we made a business decision to cut ties with all wholesale and go direct to consumer. Since then we have been trying to course correct and steer the ship into a more efficient and focused business. A big part of this is the price of the product as we invest in design, marketing, and employees. This part hasn't been easy, but we are working through it. We have an exciting future ahead so please stay tuned for what's coming!
Hard pass. You know how some micro brands are in it for the passion of introducing unique, original designs (i.e. Van Banner), and some micro brands are just trying to get a quick cash grab, by cutting every single corner when building a watch in order to maximize profits? Well, this here Jack Mason definitely falls into that latter category LOL. Poor case finishing? Check! Awful movement? Check! Push/pull crown? Check! Split pin bracelet? Check! I mean, maybe at $250... Pretty dial though! What bracelet(s) do you have on your Everest & Sea Storm?...I need to cop!
Thanks for the feedback! I've already begun designs for future iterations of the Canton and am looking at both 9000 series and even Sellita. What is your personal preference?
@@JimLecinski Thank you for the response. The Sellita movements are no doubt very beautifully finished and I personally find them worthwhile, but I've also found that enthusiasts skew a little more towards the Miyota due to the affordability but not sacrificing on durability and precision. Are you one that would pay for the upcharge on Sellita if both movement types were available to you?
Great job as always Pete 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for sharing another new offering but the eight thousand serious at 500$ is a deal killer for me Nevertheless another killer review my friend 👍
What a great looking watch. Shame it's so expensive. Great video as usual bro.
Stunning watch as well as the enthusiasm !!!
Picked up a used silver dial Canton on eBay for $99 last year 😏
Awesome looking watch!
The dial is super pretty and well executed!
$550? For those specs, you should get two of them at that price. 😬
$399 MSRP and $249 on sale. It’s a steal and I got one.

Kind of where I was at. I feel like at the right price they'd sell a ton of these.

It’s doesn’t need to be smaller on you bro lol. You’re blessed with a nice wrist size
What is that dust I see under the glass ?
Currently on sale for $275. Not too bad.
Now it’s $195 lol
Not too great either
That finishing and that movement do not equal $550. Just my opinion.
It's a fair one

👍The Sea Storm has a gecko jubilee and the Everest has the Smiths jubilee
👍
This is a $300 watch MAX. It’s a shame bc they could sell a ton of these watches if they didn’t overprice it so bad.
how to gain traction with enthusiasts? for starters don't use a Miyota 8000 series.
Thanks for the feedback! I've already begun designs for future iterations of the Canton and am looking at both 9000 series and even Sellita. What is your personal preference?
@@petercho578 I like thin pieces so my preference would be SW300 and the Miyota 9000s

The 9000 series has the same accuracy as the 8000.
@@petercho578define upcharge.
Waaaaaay overpriced here
Meh.
