I have a few successional sowings of broad beans 🫘 Gerald apparently loves them 🤷♀️ who knew. I’m trying a bush variety this year too. Happy sowing happy growing Helen, Ali 🥶🥶🇨🇦
It amazes me that Broad beans germinate so reliably in cold soil, in a cold greenhouse. Mine are still in the greenhouse, hoping to make it till March before exposing them to the waiting slug masses!
I think I sowed mine too early in October so they are a bit leggy now but because they are alive and healthy enough looking I am not going to sow more this spring. I hope you enjoy them after growing them, I love them😊😋

@@myrustygarden I hope I get to eat them and not the wildlife!
I really must get mine sown. I don’t eat them personally but always grow them for others as they like them
@@GardenofEmma still time to chuck them in!

@@067captain I know! But I'm learning from other people's mistakes so mine are protected with a lid so the wildlife can't get to them yet!

@@izzywizzy2361 I haven't grown them for a few years, so I thought I'd try again this year
@ their roots are good for the soil anyway, so win win👍
Yet to plant mine as hard as I keep telling myself to get them sown!! 😂
@@TheRightPearPlot that's what I'm normally like!
🤣 finally got ours in!!
