    Great videos been totally loving your tips for go pros and your latest video on the insta 360. Not sure why commenting on this video but just in general I wanted know if you would do a review of your SnapBack caps?

      Hahaa! Thanks Glenn! A review of my SnapBack hats huh? Dang, I wish I knew more about hats and all. For the most part, I just hit my local surf shops and grab what looks good. Umm... all snap backs included in my vlogs - FIVE STARS!!! 😜

    It seems that you are not holding don't heavy gimbal. Are you only use Gopro hero7 with build in microphone? How come the footage is very smooth with very clear audio?

    • @DavidManningvlog
      @DavidManningvlog  5 років тому +2

      This is all the stabilization on the new GoPro Hero 7 Black and it's crazy! They've pitched the 7 Black as the "gimbal killer" and this is exactly why! It definitely doesn't replace a gimbal, but for simple movements it does an awesome job!
      As for the audio, unfortunately that's the built in audio with a bunch of work in Premiere to make it sound less crappy! Hahhaaa! Checkout my GoPro video though to see the setup I'm using now with the Rode Video Micro up top! WAY BETTER!

    For when you are time-lapsing when driving, is it the go-pro time-lapse or your camera? If it's your camera are you taking a video and speeding it up, or taking one photo every X amount of time? Once again, love the video! :D
    Also do you have a schedule or is kinda upload as things happen? Just curious! I have the bell on so can't wait for your next video!

    • @DavidManningvlog
      @DavidManningvlog  5 років тому +1

      Those driving clips are a feature built into the 7 called Time Warp! It's a mode you flip to now, then choose how fast you want the video to be sped up (2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 30x), and go! It's traditionally called a Hyperlapse, so if you look that up on UA-cam, you'll see examples of how it used to be done. It was a pain in the ass to get that effect and now it's crazy easy!!! Really cool if you're walking through a crowd or moving along on a skateboard or Jeep ;)
      As for an upload schedule, I'll for sure have one video up per week, but nailing down the day right now has been a bit tough. Thank you so much for ringing that bell, YOU ROCK!!! :)

      @@DavidManningvlog hi! Sorry for so many questions, I'm trying to write a little guide for myself for when I'm away so I don't have to look it up then, haha. When you're driving, what speed do you use? like the 2, 5, 10, 15, or 30x? thank you again!

      Mainly the GoPro on the three way pole. No mic or anything for our Maui vlogs!

    I'm curious, do you think a GoPro gimbal would make an addition to your Gopro accessories, or does the Hypersmooth on the Gopro 7 black make the gimbal omition possible?

    • @DavidManningvlog
      @DavidManningvlog  5 років тому

      Great questions Ezio! I think the stabilization on the 7 makes the omission possible, but I don't think it replaces a gimbal completely. It depends on what you're looking to shoot. For vlogs and things like that, I think a bit of funk in the camera movement lends to a more real and raw feel. For a higher production quality, I think a gimbal is the only way to create true cinematic movement that you can match to other footage. I'm working on a GoPro settings video and I'll touch on a few ways to get smoother footage without a gimbal!

      David Manning do you use a drone for your shots? I've been looking at the DJI spark as a starter drone to learn how to use one, but is it really worth buying a used spark, or just wait and save up for the mavic air?

    • @DavidManningvlog
      @DavidManningvlog  5 років тому

      @@eziofujiwara5523 Yeah, I use the Mavic Pro and I love it! I haven't used the Spark myself, but I've seen footage shot with it and have been super impressed! Unfortunately though, I've heard some negative reviews on actually using the Spark. For my money, I would wait and save up for one of the Mavic models!

      David Manning oh ok! Thank you so much for the advice. I have another question. I currently have the GoPro Hero 5 black. Is it worth upgrading to the Hero 7 black, or should I just keep the 5 and get a gimbal for the GoPro?
