  • Want to become a policy maker in India? Well, the sad news is that in India the representation of youth in policy making is very less. This needs to change and if you want to drive that change this talk will help you understand the various paths you can take to reach the political summit in India.
    Freelance political and social analyst, he worked as a management and consultant for about a decade across different countries before leaving his corporate career to fulfil his passion to contribute in the social sector. He has a myriad accomplishments to his name such as leading India's premier think tank CCS(Centre for Civil Society), designing the famous MUDRA e-rickshaw, spearheading Naandi foundation in education portfolio, to mention a few. Most prominently, he is the founder of YUVA foundation which aims at creating a platform for students to discuss and debate on politics, conflicts, policy etc.
    This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

    I just think everyone of us is too self-centered to think about the well being of a country.

    I Advice to the youth that in future do the politics of love like Gandhi not the politics of hatred like Narender Modi.

      Modi never told to hate anyone 👍
      He changed INDIA's image like no one 😎
      Watch his relations with Saudi, UAE, Afg, etc.
      Gandhi, Nehru, Jinnah all are British pawns😏
      BTW you watch Naya Pakistan (Civil War) 😂

    U have missed trade union leaders with strong workers problems back ground enter politics

    • @sanobartuba
      @sanobartuba 3 роки тому +1

      I think that's part of student politics or union politics or participating in movements. Usually, trade union leaders stay activists for a lifetime and not specifically enter parliament.

    I believe Cambridge Analytica did something similar to flash mob dances during elections to keep African youngsters from voting as they were more prone to attend these flash mob dances than Indian youngsters and the swing vote lay with the young voters of which there were both African and Indian origin ones. Come election day the African youngsters were flash mob dancing at different locations and the Imdian youngsters due to their cultural and social structure were all in the voting booths.
    The point I am trying to make is that youngsters are being influenced by a much more algorithm in social media to feel that they must be apolitical and not turn up to vote like the small Caribbean island example.

    Sir do also speak about the other feeder called RSS. Look at the current cabinet and government, a good number of them only qualify the criteria of being a hard core Sanghi.

    This is interesting he talk about all the route to enter to enter politics but forget ( or deliberately skip) to mention the RSS route to enter into electoral politics. He must also discuss that infamous communal (RSS style) politics
