I hope the third game mixes up the core gameplay more. The additions in 2 were nice, but the fact that I can stick to the same strategy I used in 1 feels wrong. Every combat encounter can be trivialized by applying smoke and stun; and every boss is just a matter of unloading all your saved up link attacks. I'd like to see maybe a 4th gun type, or maybe a smaller tank a 4th party member can operate during combat along side the Taranis. The story was good, but it did feel like it was stretched out longer than it needed to be. There were a few too many chapters that ended in "we can't keep going because our tank ran out of energy." I hope the final game has better pacing because that teaser / unlockable secret movie really is interesting.
The boss still have interesting gimmick and mechanic. Also stun are barely working on bosses and some attack couldn't miss. I agree that some of chapter is just a filler. Could it be written better? Maybe.
Haha, I've only seriously been making videos for a little over a month now. It takes time to build an audience. I really appreciate it though as I'm having plenty of fun making these and improving as I go. So hopefully I've med at least a small jump witt this one too. : ) Thank you.
Did it really? I genuinely didn't recall ever getting a bathroom sequence at all in the first one. I must be some kind of unlucky, or maybe just forgetful.
@@helixdr2623 dang I am at chapter 8 and I've gotten it twice Both times were just before a boss too, Boron and Sheena (who proceeded to wreck their bosses respectively)
I haven’t played the first game, but I have watched some of “Fuga: Comedies of Steel,” the trailer for Fuga 2, and some reviews of the first game. I skipped the story recap in case it would have a lot of spoilers for the first game. I was able to piece together most of what was going on, though I didn’t have much familiarity with the characters. I think new players can safely skip the story recap. I just finished chapter 3 and the only thing that took me by surprise was that giant worm thing and the implication that the world wasn’t a bunch of islands before. Now I’m curious to find out what happened in the first game. It sounds like more than just “kids in WWII” like I originally thought.
These games are supposed to connect back to Solatorobo and Tail Concerto as prequels. I've never actually played either of those games, but I definitely plan to soon to see just how those threads are interwoven. It does have me curious.
Two points: 1, your production is really good for a new channel. Can't stress enough these videos are really good so do more. 2, you've not only told me these games exist at all but really sold me on them.
Thank you. I appreciate the kinds words. I'm trying to improve my production at every step of the way, as I do want to release quality content. However, I do have a vacation coming up I've been planning for the past 2 years now, and a very small window to make decent productions to schedule for upload, the two weeks I am going to be MIA I'm still gonna try my best though. o/ Just know if there's a dip in quality, I'll swing back ten fold when I get back.
@@ACatNamedJatthanks for keeping these videos spoiler free, i bought FUGA 1 & 2 after watching them and not being spoiled on the story really helped make key moments in both games hit hard (some moments that hit me specially hard were the britz bossfight in FUGA 1 and the soulcannon twist for FUGA 2)
Don't understimate expeditions, as doing a couple of expeditions per intermission plus the free one from the stage will give you huge amounts of money that you can use to upgrade the tank, buy sp and health recharging items, and more importantly, stack up on special ammunition like weak, stun, flame ammo wich are incredibly powerful in this game and can let you cheese out most of the hardest encounters.
You know, I never actually had too much issue with money while I was playing, but more money is always a "+" Cool username btw. Flamedramon was always one of my favorite digimon.
Would pay 60$ for a physical PS4/5 compilation with both games. I don't do digital games anymore, unless on heavy discount, and these games are expensive, even if they are good. They sent this to die anyway, releasing so close to Zelda. Switch was the main platform for this game anyway, and so it couldn't be a worse case scenario.
Cool video, and I like your avatar at the beginning and end. It has great expressions which give it personality, and I also like how it is simple animation instead of mouthing every word. Keep up the good work!
Someone had recently told me that. I was apparently crazy unlucky cause I never rolled it in the first game. 8v Or maybe I just didn't remember, it had been a year between. But am pretty sure I didn't see it.
@@ACatNamedJat Check the library, it's what the Secret Garden is referencing. Apparently the President of CC2 ran into a meeting with a toilet drawn up and then ran out or something insane. I will absolutely be doing a Solatorobo review when I have a moment to do so. Some real world things have been taking precedence for a minute, but soon.
Not necessarily, at least not "infinitely" as far as I've played. The story is on rails, and you'll end up at the end of a stage before too long and be forced to progress. You can use the airship stations multiple times though, meaning you can use them to go back and clear multiple paths for bonus experience. It's just not an unlimited supply.
@@ACatNamedJat I think this is why the soul cannon and Managarm stuff exists. I just beat chapter 3 and haven’t used them, but I feel like they were made as failsafes for people who struggle with the battles, especially since grinding isn’t really possible. It seems like the devs did everything possible to allow multiple paths forward when you’re in a pickle, from being able to redo intermissions after a loss to these ultimate failsafes. I wonder how long it takes to recover from being knocked out by the Managarm.
And if you played Solatorobo, certain plot elements may give you a "WAIT A MINUTE" moment.
