Why does time roll by slowly
When you are away
Time rolls by slowly
Like a frozen river winding to the sea
Winedark night
Water moon bright as chrome
One flashlight lighting a silver path home
Waves crawl in
Tide slips out
Another day washes away
With my heartbeat counting the
Time rolling by slowly
A frozen river winding to the sea
Honey-hearted moon sparkling through the trees
A porch light swaying soft on the breeze
Wind rolls in
Clouds slip out
I've been sitting here a hundred years
With every breath counting the
Time rolling by slowly
Like a frozen river winding to the sea
Time rolls by slowly
A frozen river winding to the sea
Definitely my favorite singer ever.
Voice of an angel! Gives me chills! Patrick droney brought me here and im thankful for it, beautifully shot too by the way and I love the instruments
The mic’ing technique in this is fascinating, did you guys come up with the vertical XY technique thing? Makes it spacious but still mono compatible, genius!!
Thanks! Credit goes to the great Gary Paczosa, bluegrass legend. He's been doing an over-under thing for years. Helps for getting a nice three dimensional stereo sound without getting too much of either hand in each mic (ie: hearing neck squeaks in the right and picking in the left)
That makes so much sense haha, I love his work with Sarah Jarosz, Alison, etc. Thanks for that info!
When you do this technique, are you panning each mic left and right, or keeping both tracks centered with each other?
Beautiful sounds! These sessions sound amazing. Great playing and engineering. Thank-you!!
The face ,words ,and melodic sounds of beautiful. Just lovely.
I think she kinda reminds me of a more mature, down to earth Taylor Swift when she still sang country.
It's a heavenly pleasure listening to her voice - Overwhelming to me in every belonging !
love your singing Caitlin
Bliss. Rapidly becoming my favourite singer.
💍
lovely singing and playing real nice just before I fall asleep...
Oh my. Yummy all the way until the last note. Mmmm warms my heart ❤️
Gorgeous song, gorgeous arrangement.
This should have a million likes and a million views
Te amo. I love you. Je t'aime.
It's early yet. I've only just discovered her a few days ago, but I truly believe she's the best singer who ever lived. Unbelievable how great this is.
Caitlin by herself is enough. Adding instruments can be a fine balance between adding or taking away from the song. The violin was either too much or too high in the mix, to me.
For my ears, it's perfect.
