    Featuring never-before-seen film footage.
"There's Johnny, there's John, and there's dad." In an intimate interview with Cindy Cash, Johnny Cash's daughter shares treasured memories of her family, their farm, and the man she called "dad." Before they were ever on the road together, Cindy and Johnny were a daughter and father seemingly like any other. "This is where I learned to hunt arrowheads, to pick blackberries, we went on Jeep rides." But Cindy knows what Johnny Cash means to the world and is moved by the fans who still visit the farm in Bon Aqua to this day. Listen to Cindy's stories in her own words and experience never-before-seen footage of the Man in Black.

You stood beside me while he did that concert in London. Suddenly you were gone and appeared on stage. Then I realized you were one of his daughters The song you shared, was just magical. I met him four times, last time in Bergen, Norway in 1997. John R. Cash was one of the greatest men that ever lived, and he inspire me and my family every day. As a journalist I have met hundreds of people. raging from Clint Eastwood to the common man. I will never forget our last meeting in my hometown, Bergen. It was a dream come true.

Such a loving tribute from daughter to to dad! Cindy that was so sincere. You’re love for your father was well sung in your voice. Thank you for sharing with us. Johnny Cash was such an extraordinary man! Today artist don’t have control of themselves and they don’t care as long as they make the big money. Thank God Johnny did it his way or we would have been robbed of his unique talent that has never been duplicated. There was only one Mr Johnny Cash, on and off stage.

My Dad Benjamin Perea and Johnny Cash served in the US Air Force in Germany and became very good friends. My dad told me so many amazing stories about the time they spent touring Europe while stationed in Landsberg. I really like looking back at the pictures they took of each other…. lol I guess the selfie hadn't been invented because they would just take pictures pictures of each other individually. My favorite picture is one that my Dad took of Johnny on a train in Europe reading a book ...he was wearing a watch (they both bought matching watches in Germany)...I still have my Dad's. My Dad was even supposed to be Johnny's best man when Johnny married Vivian... my Dad always regretted not not being able to do it for so long. I miss the stories - I miss my Dad and I really thank you for sharing this video. Johnny was a true legend.

Lovely to hear her talk about her Dad. I also had a Dad who never raised his voice and didn't hit his children. And yes, all he had to do was look at us over the top of his glasses. It was a look that said, "You're not really going to disappoint me are you?" Up we'd jump. Usually it never got that far. We did as he wanted because he'd do anything for us and so we'd do anything for him. He was a true gentleman and an attentive host. He was so well loved by my friends that I had one friend who made my father his favorite cake for Christmas each year even after I moved away and she and I were no longer in touch. Can't tell you how many homes I went into as a teen and ended up feeling so very thankful that I had my Dad after spending time with distant, disagreeable, uncouth, alcoholic, and/or controlling fathers. He is well remembered by all of my mother's family and a stellar human being, the most gentle man. I write this just in case there are any men out there who need to be inspired to be better, kinder, gentler people. Your family will love you for it. You don't have to be a pushover to be so wonderful. My Dad wasn't.

Thank you for remembering your dad, Madison. I just recall mine now, he didn't talk a lot, but everything he said, he meant it. He always used to say that he educated us by his example, and that's the way it is. Period. Old age has been mean to him, he just didn't deserve it, but I'm sure that Our Heavenly Father has set a special place for him, by His side. Lord bless him and all the fathers in the world. Amen

Loved Cash' music and the spiritual depth to many of them. "What is truth" really struck me. I am a truth seeker myself and can relate .. Jesus Christ is the ultimate absolute truth and Cash seemed to know this especially later in life. He made many mistakes (sin) in his life and its wonderful to see God's mercy (which we ALL need) and power to change and redeem broken human beings. I can relate to Johnny Cash. Thanks Cindy Cash for sharing your memories with your dad🙂.

What a person/people do in their lives, is their business. Leave "the dirt behind". Celebrate their faith in God & thanks to our Savior Jesus Christ that can & will forgive us of our sins, because EVERY ONE OF US HAS SINNED. Some comments by a lady at the beginning, were totally unnecessary. "Blended families" have it tough enough without people throwing stones.

I'm lucky enough to have met John 3 times. One of them he was an asshole due to the pills that he took.
Two other times he was the most welcoming and loving man you'd ever wanna meet. I adressed him as Mr. Cash and he said " just call me John, son. All my friends do ". One of the times I asked to speak with him he asked " what you wanna talk about? " I answered "everything". He laughed and said "hahaha I got only ten minutes, son". And he gave me 20 minutes.

I loved Johnny Cash for over 50 years. I'm almost 57 years old and when I was about 10, I saw June and John under a picnic pavilion at the worlds largest outdoor rodeo in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We were eating sandwiches and he and June showed up and just started playing and singing on a very small stage 4 feet from me. I was in aw! I was already a fan from a very young age. I had 8 tracks and heard him on the radio. I have always felt a connection with the man in black, not just his music. He was such a GREAT man.

How wonderful & nice that you included John's his first wife Vivian & second wife June, the whole family. Whether a "famous" person marries/divorces & marries again, is their business & their choice. There was a lady who made negative comments earlier about him marrying June & he had another family first. Whatever. It was THEIR LIVES & how they lived it was their business. Marriages don't work out. Why not think that they all did the best they could getting through some troubling family times? People change & their choices, are their choices.

When I saw the movie "Walk The Line", I became interested in Johnny Cash's music. I love the song When The Man Comes Around . There is a deep connection with him that I feel when I listen to him sing. A humble man who knows deep suffering and also knows what is important in life. I feel that if I ever could have met and spoke with him, he probably would have comforted me. I have known a lot of heart ache and suffering in my life. I recall him calling Gordon some sort of joke name like the Blue Mule or the Mule. He was even bigger than Johnny. Boy did that show, and the music tv shows on tv back then light a fire in me. 3 years later I was learning and after that I’ve played my whole life. Wasn’t blessed with any sort of a voice but can pick fairly well. Been a huge Johnny Cash fan as long as I can remember. Grew up laying on the linoleum in front of a big old console tv with a rotary dial that flipped 40 times despite us only have 2 stations that came in, depending on the antenna outside above the house.
What a gorgeous farm. The logs on the house are phenomenal. Great to see one of Johnnys daughters I wasn’t familiar with. Lovely lady and well spoken with a soothing calm personality. Johnny had the talent and charisma and thank God for cowboy Jack Clements’ ear and talent to bring it where it belonged. I’m a fan of Cowboy Jack too. He knew music. The two of them together with the idea and skill of integrating horns onto Ring of Fire recording and pulling it off so well is just staggering. A dream mutated into reality successfully.

Lovely Testimony , I am sorry I did not go to see him whilst he was performing in Melbourne Australia , it would have been fun to talk about the Bible with him

I love the story of how Johnny acquired the cabin. I had heard it in his autobiography.
Genesis 50:20 "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive." A cheating accountant attempted to steal Johnny Cash's money, but instead Johnny Cash had a beautiful cabin and farm picked out just for him. And in that cabin many great songs were written, and many great songs were recorded. Songs that truly saved lives.

Just what can I say about Me Cash that has not been said before 🤔 just one thing & it sort of mirrors my earlier life, near to end of his life John was asked if he blamed God for the way he looked & his terrible health problems & Johnny give this star a look & said why would I or anyone blame Jesus 🤔 Only for God & June Carter I would have been gone a long time ago 🙏 me also but one more as only for Jesus , my Mam*†* & Wife Beryl*†* I would have ended badly around 45 years ago.

JOHNNY CASH GREAT ARTIST OF TRADITIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC ! HE HAD ENOUGH YELLING ANDARGUING IN HIS HOME LIFE AS A YOUNG CHILD . HE WAS A TENDER CHILD . AND SUFFERED THE PPAIN OF HIS BROTHERS DEATH IN THE SAW MILL ! HE WAS JUST TORTURED BY HIS OWN
