Exocaged RC Nice , plenty of range on that one . I’m on the NB4 , love it . I’ve gone for 100/500/60 F-R . Plus I have the FID alloy diff cases as they can eat the plastic case around the output bearing esp on the rear
Out of box steering sucked on mine as well. Couldn’t get it to go straight without screwing with tow. I bought another of the cheaper stock 906 servos and couple servo horns and it’s great now. Didn’t need the back ordered Losi dual steering links as stock worked fine. Had same slow in air response that you saw, even after ESC adjustments, so I now also have an 18T on the way thanks to your note. Links for your recommended bashing jumping tires would be appreciated. Thanks!
Got one 3 weeks ago now have dummy engine on rear 4 large lights on front each has 12 led's complete new working dash with lights 2 new drivers with working seat belts + mini helmets alloy bash plate on front & got a v8 sound module 2 b fitted it's great BFN from theUK .

Your poor lawn I got to agree with you the wife would be Ticked if it was your front yard...😂🤣😅🤭... and what a hit that thing took and you don't have to replace any parts that is amazing. Nice pick up I just picked up this rig last week I put my breaks to 75% and punch to #5 now I just need a bigger pinion gear little slow out the box nice jumps

I have the Losi Baja Rey Limited Mint 400 Edition (at over 8lbs (stock is slightly over 6lbs), you KNOW it's SERIOUSLY upgraded), and have been looking to get a "buggy" version, only larger. The 'contenders', thus far, are the Losi DBXL 2.0 & Super Rock Rey, as well as the Traxxas UDR. I know they're not exactly "equal", but they're closed enough to group them together. Decisions, decisions...darn you, Joe. 😀 🤙
LOL well let me "help" DBXLE for big bashing and it needs a few things to get up to speed which I'll be doing soon, Super Rock Rey is just an odd one IMO and the UDR is a smooth scale fast beast. If scale appearance really matters then the UDR is it. They all have their own needs out of the box.
The big ones are a lot of fun are today. I have a losi MTXL With the big monster truck tires and I also have a set of those dirt tires. Except mine's 29 CC gas engine and I live in Colorado so the kids absolutely love it. But ever since I got this X Max I find that trucks not be as fun as the X Max lol

If you go with the tekno axles I don't think you will be breaking the Lasernut again, I added a link and part number to your Lasernut video. As far as the terribly loose servo saver and dead RX go, that is pretty bad I would be pissed. At least these trucks run a different kv, with the stock gearing on 3s I manage to get the small spektrum motor up to 230 degrees lmao, and they say 3s is do able if you gear down (geared down still hit 210 degrees). Changed motors anyway and things got better but rtr should not be ready to replace from the start.
The Firma ESCs get even better with the latest firmware. You can do the update using the hobbywing tuner and the spektrum software. Can you do a video on that so people know?
I'll have to look into that, I've updated the AXE and Castle stuff but never this, what features do you get and is it worth it to keep in this thing? Some are saying to go with a Max5 esc and I have one sitting in the bin
I have looked at the 2.0 since it came out and man I would love to own it. But after much research I went with the Kraton 8s. People are tired of it braking even with light bashing and fun. It’s gorgeous but to fragile
Man this thing is awesome joe. I'm sure it's not cheap at all lol. A question about the esc. U said it's a modified hobbywing max 6. Is! He one of spektrums firma escs? I have a friend that ended up with a brand ew in the box firma 130 amp esc with a 1900kv motor combo. He buys over stock and return pallets from a pallet auction place in op so he will probably let it go for a decent price. I told him I didn't know if I wanted it as I don't know much about spektrums products other than they are in a lot of rtr from horizon hobby and get ditched for aftermarket parts. I was thinking of putting it in my slash 4wd tho. Anyway what's ur thought on it and is it also like this esc in the video a modified hobbywing? Btw might hit ya up this weekend and see if you are planning on hitting the rocks between rain storms lol. Got some testing I need to do on the crawler. Hey! do you prefer this or the Kraton 8S? I have the Kraton 8S and someone wants to trade me for his DBXLE 2.0...It is tempting, but just not freaking sure. I do like the Losi has a true 5th scale motor and true 5th scale servo...as well as possibility to add dual servos. oh, and the Losi seems much easier to work on...the Kraton is kind of annoying to even change the pinion.
I noticed with the stock pinion the motor got hotter, my thoughts are that it simply ran full rpm so much it worked harder? The temps were really good with the 18t

@@ExocagedRC I'm not much of a fan of spending $300 on batteries that last 15-20 minutes and take 2-3 hours to charge up on my charger when $3 of gasoline lasts nearly an hour and can be topped up again the instant it runs dry.
@@TestECull Maybe you should buy a better charger. And stop buying overpriced batteries. But, there are always those close-minded individuals who will jump on their high-horse so they can bash something, rather than realizing there are benefits to each.
@@rustler08 My charger can do 6s lipo at 5 amps. But these large vehicles never take just ONE battery. It's usually two, but the 5th scalers often will take four with two parallel'd packs seriesd together. I'm also not going to cheap out on lipos, especially if I'm getting 4s and 6s packs like these large scale electrics take. That's a real good way to have a house fire. The cheapest 6s packs I can find that I trust to not puff and fail for no reason are about 100 bucks. I also find it hilarious you're accusing me of being closed minded when I've never once said nobody should run these cars electric. You're the closed minded one.
@@TestECull I've got 6 sets of 4s at this point so I have no issues with batteries. Xmaxx, Kraton and now this. Plus I don't want the stink of gas in my home. 2-3 hours charge? LOL NOPE!! I have a Quad charger and its about an hr for 4 batteries at once. I'm very well set up for the electrics.

Very nice! I finally have it ready for a drive but the rain is so insanely bad right now. I also put in 1m CD oil and a RC6GS radio

Well, for fun I’d go Kraton, if you have a 5th scale race scene go Losi. Overall if I had to pick I’d pick the Kraton

A 1/5 without a two stroke is just not any fun. Took that hit like a champ though.

I love this truck but those wheels are damn ugly and low profile
I’ve got the Giant Grip tires on it now. The stock wheels and tires are normal for the 1/5 racer guys on the 5iveT style trucks.
