Tell me how many huge contracts that were paid earlier than they had to be have worked out for teams in the NFL. Debo? Ayuk? Hargrave? McCaffery? Jared Goff back with the Rams? Todd Gurley? There are so many examples of players getting paid more than they should be paid and too few of players getting huge contracts and the team getting value. I like Purdy a lot but I wouldn't overpay him. Purdy is a top 10 QB........not a top 5.
