He was thrice gifted as a singer (very wide vocal range), composer and showman. People loved him. I was never a fan when I was younger but became one after watching exactly this concert. Despite being a world famous singer, he was always a down to earth simple guy.

I was fortunate to be in his last concert in El Paso TX. It was an amazing experience! The best concert I have been in my life!
I had the fortune to see this amazing concert in Mexico city in May 1990, the way he opened the concert with a group of kids singing a medley of his songs had us in tears,, DESCANCE EN PAZ EL GRAN JUAN GABRIEL

He was not only great singer. He composed and wrote hundred songs and a lot of artists sang his songs i am proud of being mexican like Juan Gabriel.
Thank you for your excellent video and Juan Gabriel was one of the best voices in Mexico in this concert there were more than 300 musicians including a great orchestra, Mariachis, corristas and the public also singing and in one part of this concert Juan Gabriel kept the microphone at the height of his stomach and that was the way to demonstrate the great voice he had and in the place where the concert was held it was the palace of fine arts where once when he arrived from the province to the capital he stayed to sleep outside and He promised himself that one day he would sing in that place and that is why he tried to give his best in that concert, his childhood and youth were very sad and that song came from there, it is like a metaphor that he never wanted to talk about because you created that work of art, thank you again for putting this song that although there are people who do not understand it, its music, its lyrics and its interpretation make one feel something in the soul and your skin itches from the way you interpret it, until there people that a lump is made in the throat, with nothing more to say great Juan Gabriel…

Yo si tuve la fortuna de ver ese concierto las autoridades no querían que el lo hiciera en el palacio de bellas artes sin embargo ser lo permitieron y fue lo máximo. Se hubieran dado de topes si no lo hubieran hecho es un grande entre los grandes se fue pero nos dejó un legado muy grande de su talento y su amor por la música mil gracias por reaccionar a él y agradezco el haber podido estar ahí con el y disfrutarlo tanto. 🖤🖤

Bro when the orchestra came in I got chills. I believe his concerts were about 5-6 hours long and this performance was his last one of the night yet he had that powerful, fun, emotional, & impeccable performance. Its funny when you raise your arms with the notes lol

I saw him live twice back in the 80's once with Rocio Durcal. I didn't want it to end. Spectacular performance. You're right, he does engage the crowd. Beautiful voice gone too soon.

I had the privilege of being at that concert, summer 1990, at the Fine Arts palace in Mexico City (the equivalent of Carnegie Hall in New York or L'Opera in Paris), one of the very few times that that venue had opened up to a pop artist. He brought down the house. God sent one of his singing and music composing angels to planet Earth, landing in Michoacan, Mexico. Unfortunately God called him back to him a bit too soon. I am sure it was because He wanted to hear him close every day. However Juan Gabriel's music will be among us for eternity

My Mom's (we're from PR) favorite singer is Juan Gabriel and I'm so happy I got to take her to a Juan Gabriel concert in Orlando some years ago before he passed away. My favorite band is Duran Duran and I still really enjoyed the show. He really was legendary on stage!
There's only a few few artist that perform as good or even better than they do in the studio and Juan Gabriel was one of them. His live performance of Amor Eterno from this same live show is hard not to get choked up when watching it

This entire concert was fantastic, It's in el Teatro de Bellas artes. Look up other performances from this show. My mom used to listen to this all the time and as a kid growing up in the US I didn't appreciate this until I was an adult. Juan Gabriel influenced an entire country and culture with his art. All his body of work and the songs he wrote for Rocio Durcal and other artists is just absolutely amazing.

This is the song and performance that made me stop and recognize the greatness of Juan Gabriel which I hadn’t before. He was amazing and I’m so thankful that his music lives on but I wish he was still here with us.
