I just think this movie needed less cuts If they hadn't changed the angles so much, it would've helped to increase the feeling of being followed. Just saying
Maybe there are other directors out there but the only 3 directors I know of there are finding new and creative ways of how to shoot a film is Steven Soderbergh, Christopher Nolan and James Cameron. Cameron is utilizing 3D on film in a way that isn't just a separate gimmick to make the film better. He's advancing it and wants it to be a part of the filmmaking techique. Nolan is doing the same thing but with IMAX. It's a gimmick as well. Different and separate but he's advancing it and wants it to be better than it is. Soderbergh is trying to find a way where you don't need 2-3 cameras for just one scene. He wants to use less equipment and be less technical. The iPhone use for shooting a film is absolutely fantasic and this will start a chain reaction of more filmmakers possibly using it down the road. It's more flexible and way easier. I can't wait to see more of what's to come with filmmaking.
Most films don't use 2-3 cameras for a scene. Most have a single camera set up. It's only big blockbusters that use multiple cameras for the most part. I don't think shooting a movie on a iPhone will be the future. This movie wasn't bad but the quality isn't good and this film was shot in a confined space imagine if you shot bigger sequences with more scope
That's just nonsense and very anglocentric/Hollywood-centric - there is a world of cinema outside English language films. Xavier Dolan 's 'Mommy' was a clever, creative way of using the format to become part of the narrative itself, as was Feng Xiaogang's 'I Am Not Madame Bovary', as was Mark Jenkin's 'Bait', and then there's Sean Baker's 'Tangerine' which was shot on an iPhone 3 years before the production of Unsane began. And you're really out here making out that Sonderbergh invented the single-camera setup?
@@merlinmediagroup I'm not saying that. With all due respect to those directors but I'm talking about mainstream directors here. Cameron, Nolan and Soderbergh are obviously mainstream. That was my point.

@@haroldgui2125 The only setback with the DJI 4 is that you must use the magnet. If I am using a iPhone 12 Pro, I would not trust to shoot footage near streaks with rocks around, especially if the magnet can detach. The DJI mobile stabilizer silver is a better gimbal because the phone is secure in the locking clams.
super smart filmmaking and unique BTS! excellent
Well Done Job ! only with a cell phone such a movie...
This movie gave me Requiem For a Dream vibes all throughout. The attached camera shots, the paranoia, even the soundtrack.
Now I knew why that when I first watched this movie I thought it was filmed in 90s or earlier . But it’s very nice movie .
I’m trying to figure out how to film on iPhone so I came here. Thanks for the upload!
So the behind the scenes was filmed with a professional camera?
No.

I'm watching the movie right now, and indeed, it feels too "cutty".
Maybe Soderbergh was going for a jarring effect, to embrace the paranoia.
its seems fair to say Soderbergh knows what hes doing who are you armchair nobody!

If you want to see truly crazy ways of shooting film look no further than Gaspar Noe
I see they used a special app on iPhone, not regular camera. Does anyone know which app did they use? And which lens? They used extra lens on iPhone
They used Filmic Pro app.
A bit late, but they used Filmic Pro and what seems to be Moment lenses.
They used wide lens

There's a few out there. I have the DJI which works well.
the best is dji OM4.
