I love Erewhon! I never buy produce or basic items I can get from another grocery store but love to get specialty items like their smoothies and flavored raw almond milks, japanese sweet potato wedges from their hot bar, cauliflower pizza crust, and falafel wrap
Japanese sweet potatoes are not specialty items, there found in several grocery stores here in New Mexico. Also Costco even sells cauliflower pizza crusts

I've been grocery shopping in Alaska before. I can firmly say Erewhon is even more affordable. I saw two slices of watermelon packaged in foam that were $9 in Sitka on a business trip.
I visited my son and his family in California, last week and we went there for a couple of item, I was literally shocked. They were selling salad dressing (I believe it was hidden valley) for eight dollars and forty five cents. I can buy a large bottle from Kroger at half that price but they were selling the medium size for that price. I left the store in shock...😳
I have a high powered blender. I can make that “vegetable chili” for like two dollars a serving. And that kale salad? Super easy to dupe. The pizza looked great tho.
I think the lesson that we should all learn from this is that we need to open flashy, astrologically based California supermarkets as soon as possible.
I went to the Venice Erewhon yesterday. In the tiny parking lot (which had a capacity of maybe 25 cars) i counted 5 Tesla cars - 3 Model X, 1 Model S, and 1 Model 3.
May I suggest the Ritz Carlton for a more economial lunch!! At least truffles didnt come with everything. You should get a whole bottle of vodka with that sauce..nice, thanks Zoe this was entertaining! P.S. with Kale that expensive, was it umm medical Kale?!
