Honestly, I'm watching to make sure I don't do this for my first playthrough. I'll use this video again when I get through my extra characters so I don't have to deal with the time too much. But, being the completionist that I am I really plan on taking my time tonight.
You can take your time and still save the side missions for the end. If it will take you 3 weeks to hit level 30 while taking your time. You might be able to hit level 30 in 2 weeks using this method. Just an example. You don’t have to rush thru everything to do this method, you can also take your time while doing this method. That is what I plan on doing.

To get faster access to the lvl30 endgame stuff where the theorycrafting and build-making are at. No reason to keep gear or care much about the build(s) until you reach that point, even DZ is largelly pointless until then, same for opening PvP caches now, yadayada. The main progression is pointless up to max lvl, which is a design flaw in both Division games and many other RPGs sadly. There are the players that care for quests, the overall storyline and then are through with the game and then there are those focused on the endgame aspects mentioned which are a whole new level of gameplay easily 10 times larger than the leveling process/storyline progress. And one can easily redo those missions as a lvl30 anyway so why not?
I dont think this method is rushing by any means. You are just switching up the order of playghthrough. Side missions are disintegrated from the progression of main missions as with world activity so it shouldn't affect the pace at which you experience the story.
Exactly. Why experience the story months down the road? For me, the first play through is when you can get the most enjoyment out of the story. If you rush your leveling, you'll get spoilers that will color your "story play through" months later. Having finished the video, Marco's suggestions don't nullify a "story" play through, just how xp works for max efficiency. Incidentally, focusing on the story missions is primary then, too, so you can sort of get the best of both worlds (biggest tip is managing how you do the side missions).
As someone who didn't play division 2 I've spent about as much time learning this game on the internet as I have playing. I've never seen a game with this much depth
Power leveling maybe ok for you content creator guys, but I’m not gonna rush through it just becuase. I wanna enjoy the game, and have limited time to play anyway due to RL duties. Just enjoy the ride
That moment when you have to re-explain something the UA-camr said in the video above. Marco LITERALLY SAID this is how HE likes to play the game. If others want to take their time and savor every moment, he also said, "More power to you." Everyone has their own way they would like to play this game and enjoy it. Just as he is respectful of others' desire to experience the game in their own manner, be respectful of the way HE wants to play, and don't assume it's just because he "needs to make content". SMH.
Tip about gear :I noticed that you can loot from captured points once a day, so go back to every captured point you have and get that gear (except from the big orange ones, those are only 1 time when you capture it). Hope you guys find it helpful.! ✌️
Thanks again Marco for the great tips, you are by far the authority on all things Division. Thanks for continuing to find all the small details to help move things along. I hope Massive gets you on the payroll, you do as much for their games as they do building them. Back in Div 1 I credited you as the main reason for massive getting on top of the core rebuild. That helped make the game what it is. I can see your input from Div1 that they have seem to implemented into Div2. Great channel keep it up.
For those that have acces to the game already, there's a SHD tech cache hidden behind a door with a bike lock in the underground south of the White House zone
Definitely not going to rush things. This is a title I want to savor in doing everything I can as it’s made available. I also want to take my time trying out a variety of different build compositions and weapons to decide what I truly want to spec into as opposed to reverting and changing things I’m just not sure about later.
Awesome video. I'd heard someone else recommend this as well, but unlike you, they didn't explain the why so much. Understanding that 33% thing for side missions is super helpful. Thank you!
this is for people who don't care and just wants to get to end game to really start grinding. Me personally I move fast naturally I do the mission loot around and I'm on to the next mission. But I do agree that I think you should complete everything on your first guy then powerlevel your others which is what I'm doing but that's me
Thanks for making this vid. Now we have to deal with people leveling up too fast and getting to the endgame too fast, which are the same people who are going to complain that the game doesn't have enough content bc they chose to progress through the game too quickly.
I'm all about exploration and taking my time. End game will come soon enough. I just wish they would make it so that being in cover in PVP gives you 100% more damage resistance to force players to play in cover more instead of the inevitable chicken dance/sniper meta.
Also another control point thing, to get more xp is get food, water, and components because if you intercept a enemy group returning with supplies when you kill them you get good xp but you also get those supplies to turn into a control point. Could just be me but I found that this works well
best way is to level have a friend do the high level missions and join towards the end of the final encounter while you solo control points. Thanks Macro!!! This is really helpful especially for those who are planing to do more than one character ... one thing I would add and I am not sure if it will work on TD2 ( it worked on Division 1 and seriously it was very helpful ) is to try to play with a friend that has a higher level than you that way just by killing the higher level NPC you will get a higher amount of experience. I would like you Marco to test this out if you can to see if it's actually working or no if you can.
Holding off on side missions due to the XP you gain being 33% of your level makes perfect sense, but I disagree with the notion of getting all the XP perks first being the best tactic. It can be argued that in early game some other perks will allow you to progress through the game quicker, giving you more XP over real time. For example, being able to restock armour kits when entering a safe place or increasing armour kit capacity (or both) would allow you to complete missions more efficiently. Although getting the XP perks ASAP means you get the most benefit out of the perk, other perks may allow you to complete missions faster and thus gain XP quicker (in real time).
In all honesty as a day one destiny player which is where all these games got there system for loot and grind, your gonna have to grind your ass off whether you like it or not. And just as I watch this today, there's a new patch out right now to update all activities exp rewards to now scale to your level instead of being a flat value
with the WoNY DLC the things changed, you most likely gonna forget the side missions until lvl40 to power through the SHD levels for a more optimal use of them
As far as leveling up, I like to check out the game and see how it goes and how much it changes as a player plays the game. The end games are going to be fun, but checking everything out would be much funnier

Maybe skillup or mrbossftw😂 not Marco you already know it would be a sarcastic comment if he said that
@Ask my Bollooox yeah although ubisofts dev team isn't nearly as involved as bioware/anthem is. Unless they start to be with this game.
Day Zero Gaming mrbossftw doesn’t cover these types of games ...
Tadi Cotacachi bioware devs are struggling to save there piece of shit game Ubisoft devs are enjoying a good launch 🚀
We know this dude is a next-level pro at the game because he doesn't use cover in a third-person cover shooter.
And just as I watch this today, there's a new patch out right now to update all activities exp rewards to now scale to your level instead of being a flat value
Great video!! I’m only on 14 right now...but this will at least help going forward. Thank you!

with the WoNY DLC the things changed, you most likely gonna forget the side missions until lvl40 to power through the SHD levels for a more optimal use of them
I learned shapes and how to read from this video
As far as leveling up, I like to check out the game and see how it goes and how much it changes as a player plays the game. The end games are going to be fun, but checking everything out would be much funnier
Amazingly simple fast and vids how to do all in one go... And no look at me bulls... T.. If all like this as my first here I will be hooked amazing work
Great leveling tip
