I'm having trouble with the top box, with difficulty I have been able to open it, but cannot remove it from my bike, aside from Graphite do you have any suggestions ? The key is fine with the other two and the seat unlock and/or removal.
Hi, what would be the largest bike's wide once panniers are on? I'm looking for the slimest ones, and I can't tell which ones are between the Givis, Shads or the Bmw's ones...
Thanks for this. Very useful to see them on the bike and in action. Have to say that they look as if they add quite a bit to the width of the bike. For the price and doubts about waterproofness etc. I think I might check out the Shad panniers before taking the plunge.
Just joking. Last time I owned a motorbike was in 1975, a Suzuki 250 Hustler. So I'm still high as a kite, and taking things very carefully now I'm at the other end of my work life . . . retired.
Looks like a nice setup. I'd be lost without the size of the GS boxes. I've considered the liners, but never went that route. I've found that sometimes, you can buy stuff from the Motorrad UK store cheaper than buying here. Every little helps. So, looks like you're getting set for your adventures.

I sometimes had to push down the back of the top box to get it off the bike as it's a bit stuck on (and rightly so!)

I've since completely gone off side loading panniers as well. So much hassle.
@@Grumpybikewizard I can understand that but where do you get top-loading panniers that fit an R1200RS?
Does the top box fit a spare helmet for a pillion ?
It'd fit a small one, mine is an XL and just about doesn't fit.
@@Grumpybikewizard Mine is an XL too, bummer, but it looks like a helmet for the ex should fit in the sides no problem, she would have to be an XXXS.

Got my liners from motorrad bohling in Germany, cheaper again than UK as far as I remember.
I guess it can depend on the currency exchange rate. Always good to get it at a better price, no matter where you have to shop.
Actually mega excited about Holiday!
Nice bike man
"plugy thing" like it.
Top box looks ulgy, should have made it more square like the r1200
Gick is my new favourite word.
