Ukraine: Russian forces using Mad Max-style motorbike version of the Turtle Tank

- Опубліковано 1 лип 2024
- Russian forces have been using a new incarnation of Second World War-style equipment on the frontline in Ukraine - the motorcycle.
War is said to be the mother of all invention, and these motorbike and makeshift sidecar combinations have been fitted with some sort of overhead cover.
These latest Mad Max-style pieces of battlefield tech look like a distant cousin or offshoot of the Turtle Tank family and have been dubbed the Motor Shed.

Russian military motorbike comes with it's own coffin.
😅
Give you a thumbs up for your observation .... great minds think alike. 👍😆

I’m Ivan and welcome to Jackass. This is the minefield!
It's like a child was asked to prepare a bike for combat show n tell
The Ukrainians will never suspect a box shaped bush moving around.😂
We all love a saftey squint, but the tuktuk-isation is something else!!! !😂!
All that work to get splattered all over the battlefield anyways.
Cry Ukie.
Looking forward to the scooter and skateboard versions!
I wonder if Russia might be running low on armored vehicles?
Covert Cabal has several videos on this, and yes their reserves are being depleted, but there appears to be plenty still there for 1-2 years of combat at the current loss rate.
To be fair it sounds like a great way to improve battlefield logistics for a relatively low cost. They might even not set on anti vehicle mines.
On the other hand it's a clear show of their lack of resources.
The pro war bots are in full force in this comments section. Nice try Raytheon

The motorcycles probably aren't copies, but Ural-style WWII surplus Russia is pulling out of storage for these poor guys.
They wouldn't have copy's not in Moscova that's straight out of the RU army bases underground storage. They literally never throw anything out just build another storage complex. 😅 Bet they have thousands of old rusty tanks WW2 still sitting everywhere all over the RU, marked down on Kremlin docs as new ones 😅
@NOT.MI5.MI6. Lol, they had to buy Bulgaria t34s, I think it was for their parade.

Its trishaw bike. Kinda funny and should join circus show.

Motorcycle raids have actually proven to be very successful. Geolocated videos show them taking one position after another and drones can’t target them as well due to speed and mobility.

Is the canopy over the top to make it harder for them to be spotted from above by infrared or something?
No they are invisible the Kremlin official vegetables told them so 😅

Desperate? Those bikes are in service for the last few (25)years in support roles all ready.
The brand of motorcycle is Ural. They sell civilian bikes with side cars so easy conversion.
None of those appeared to have the driven sidecar of the 70's Soviet ones which were imported into the UK.
Looks like something from ww2
Very similar to the Soviet Ural, a poor copy of a BMW, they had a driven sidecar with a machine gun mount. Imported into UK late 70's. Terrible reliability but cheap.
The bikes are called "Ural" , come with the sidecar and have a reverse gear fitted as standard but to be honest from what I've seen of them on UA-cam they are pretty basic and fairly uncomfortable to ride on the road let alone off road...
The shed was a Dnepr (Ukrainian) the video two different Urals (Russian)
what is the point of the cage on a motobike
Keeps the drones with explosives about a meter way from the rider, which might not help much, but I don't think their commanding officers will inform the rider how effective it actually is.
Основное оружие небольших дронов это выстрелы от автоматических гранатометов. Они слабые, и если мотоциклист в защитном шлеме и бронежилете шанс выжить большой. Ну и как маскировка
Its an emotional support cage
The uk couldnt fight a war this long...... It too would come up with crazy ideas again.
Always projection
No Russia is using motorcycles because that all they have not because its a good idea😅
From what I had seen and heard, they're quite effective at assaulting the trench positions.
Explain how??
@@iainreid9822 They can't explain how, obviously.
OH my
The fact is that's basically the old Soviets big red army still in service 😅 I've seen older trucks literally a few months ago on the Moscovas socials 😅 they love it drive 2 miles and use 100 gallons of cooking oil, 10 in the cab all crammed in like sardines
Hmmm, looks like Vlad was all talk and no balls. Getting desperate?
Mad Max? It has a cover on it. lmao
That is not Mad max-style, it's a Philippine style.

Motörshed LOL
Have I spent all these years listening to Lemmy singing Motorshed and not Motorhead.

My neighbor bought wagon for pedal bike! Lol imma get one too! Even ordered a small motor for my pedal bike officers said are okay right now and attached small fire extinguisher! Then mopad banned so cars can get to work then a tumble or fire like our lawn mowers catch on fire here too so mow laws and rides to climate.
Even wheelchairs caught on fire not for this climate environment then those created can cost over a hundred thousand dollars!

I'd really like to see what can be done with electric monowheels, they're fast, hands free, with crazy ranges
E-unicycles. That's got to be different.
Ukrainian troops are being trained by British forces to use e-bikes on the battlefield. The British Army uses them with their scouts as it allows them to move quickly and silently around the battlefield.
@@bigblue6917 yeah I've seen those, just the unicycles would let you hold your weapon system 😁 they are impressive little units thesedays, 120KMh, over 100KM range.. I can't help but wonder how the knees feel at the end of the day 😆 they have shocks and all but 😆

@@ralfkinkel9687 drones are a new thing, so yeah. Even NATO countries are trying to figure it out.
Pootin is a genius!
Seriously? Even Rwanda's military looks more modern than this, for real. Look it up on UA-cam. The Russiam soldiers you see online in stolen civilian sweaters do not look like the military of a major power. It's embarrassing.

The glory red army
I do find myself asking how different are these to the quads bikes the British army have used (not sure if the still are) for supplies medivac?
Yes the teenage is comical, but the the ural copy of the WWII German sidecar combinations had good off road mobility. So remember some of the not so great success of the UORs issued during the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan before laughing too hard.
Atv:s and motorbikes are commonly used in militaries around the world and have very useful purposes, issue here is that they are using them at front line attacks which they definetely are not fit for.
Are you really comparing a quad designed for off-roading to a street bike with a side car? Come on, dude...silly.
@@wadopotato33 you need to look up the capabilities of the the Ural and the German versions it was based on. It has all wheel drive and is actually very capable of road it is not a civilian motorcycle and side car combination.
@@tottorookokkoroo5318 I quite agree that using the to charge into attack against an enemy is daft. The article however was focussing on the delivery if supplies and casualty evacuation which are the same as the use if ATVs in other militaries. So as you have pointed out that application is common. Their use in a modern day charge of the light brigade is not and is just plain daft. Apt thought that the charge of the light brigade took place in a previous war in Ukraine.
For clarity I'm not a Russian supporter but neither am I as supporter of sensless slaughter (whoever is dying) to satisfy the vanity and power trip of an individual.
😂😂😂😂😂
They better watch out for the old French Vespas with recoilless rifles.
Russllywood
Just like the Nazi's
jep seems to be the "Ural motorcicle" which was produced during the 2.WW by USSR . the design was heavily inspired from the german one.
This highlights the lack of advancement in russia since ww2. Its wild to see a motorcycle designed in 1940 being produced in 2024. The lada niva, UAZ buhanka, t72 tank, etc are all still currently being manufactured even tho they were developed in the 60s & 70s.
Russia also uses their soldiers as meat like they did in ww2. Its truly a disaster of a country.
Sometimes, tech for the sake of tech is stupid. Look under the hood of your car. Do you know what most of it does?
Heavy, underpowered, lack of maneuverability, no protection to speak of. Absolute desperation on the Russian's, total embarrassment. Never have cared about casualties.
first
man even the Germans had better innovation back in the 1940s🤣🤣🤣
Germany gets too much credit for innovation in WW2. They had some wonderweapons to be sure, but Americans thought it was funny that Germany was still using horses to move freight. the truth is that Germany was far behind the US in the tech needed to mass-produce goods.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂ils sont fous de es russes, mais au moins ils savent faire rire le monde.
Poutine c'est fini quitte l'UKRAINE ta perdu.
l'UKRAINE vaincra 🇺🇦🇨🇵👍💪😉
These guys took too long to transport anything to the combat positions. Then they got wise and started using motorcycles from the surrounding villages. This is laziness. Typical male laziness...
One of the known differences between the sexes is that Males on average are more industrious...try again.
@@wadopotato33 Fine . How much time does a man need to prepare, for example, breakfast? Twenty minutes ? Fifteen ? A friend told me that he copes quite well during this time. But his grandmother went into the kitchen and did something there for a whole 4 hours (!), then she told him - I cooked you fish. Regular salted fish, cut into pieces with onion and salt. Who is more hardworking? Of course women.
