She married Tommy Mottola in 2000 and by that time she already was world famous and had sold millions of albums (actually one of her greatest, world known and best selling albums "Amor a la Mexicana" was released prior to Mottola). Tommy Mottola didn't get her a career, they met when she already was a superstar. Get the facts straight.
